This was great!!! Loved hearing him talk about the Lord!!! Class act and genius intellect.... both Dave & Monk!!! Waiting on the DC interview and still hoping for the GG interview! Oops, I've said too much!!! Lol.... Appreciate you Mr.Rowe
In this interview, Dave reveals himself to be both a deeply religious and very ethical person. I've always loved the music he made with Paul Desmond; this interview causes me to appreciate him at another level. The music they made together has been an important part of my life for more than 60 years.
Thanks for the comment Jim. Before this session, his assistant made it clear that Dave preferred to NOT talk about the past (Take Five etc.) I think it was sound advice. Monk
Great interview and so informative - loved it! I was first introduced to live jazz in Austin, Texas around 1974, I think. It was a performance called "Two Generations of Brubeck" and Dave was in a fairly large ensemble that also featured his sons. The harmonica player was fantastic as well! He had a "utility" belt on arrayed with a number of his harmonicas in different keys. A great concert - Dave and sons were in fine form that night!
Interesting interview. Way way back in the day I heard the quartet (with Desmond) several times. Also have many Brubeck LPs (remember them?) plus CD reissues.
You all probably dont give a damn but does anyone know of a method to log back into an Instagram account?? I somehow lost my password. I appreciate any tricks you can give me!
@Kash Mitchell I really appreciate your reply. I found the site thru google and Im in the hacking process atm. Takes a while so I will reply here later with my results.

Very refreshing! A believer willing to testify truth not only through discussion but through his music.
A great musician and compositional genius. RIP David Warren Brubeck
Thank you for this gem.
You are welcome, it was quite a thrill to meet him and be in his home. We returned a few years later to interview Mrs. Brubeck.
