The first gear is too low and it needs shit up the second gear in a few seconds. It is too busy, but When you start with second gear, you aren't busy to shift.

and another reason is that this is a disel car ，it has more power in low rpm，so it really depend your driving habit
starting in 2nd gear will burn out the clutch a lot quicker
nope that first gear is soooo short.....
