In my country we called it Land Cruiser Mark 2 or styled as Land Cruiser II. It is not marketed as Prado yet as Prado only came to our country with the second model J90. The one I’m going to get by end of August is just a 400k KM, 1991 model, standard trim RJ77 with 4-speed MT, 22R carb engine. It has folded jump seats much like the troopy one at the back most and the center part of the car is a long folded seat but have no headrests. Also equipped, a weirdly but common 2 person front most passenget seat. I have no idea what the seat is called but it’s a bit wider and due to its size, the center console is absent, leaving only the handbrake, just barely fit in between.
I’m very familiar with the Prado but not this model. I’d take one of these over a new one anyday. Thinking about buying a Landcruiser 70 wagon later this year. Thanks for sharing this with us.
Absolutely beautiful truck best 1 I've ever seen.i have the same 1 but it's a 3litre ,I got rid of the 2.4 it was very slow.That lj is just amazing.lol I remember taking out the cassette player and radio and throwing in the thrash lol I had forgotten about that.
Awesome car. I'm so envious. I acquired the exact same car (1993 model) and, while it's in fairly good shape, it's got nothing on yours. Wish we could do a swap. :-) The previous owner changed the engine to a 3L 1KZ. It's got the power, but it runs hot when the turbo kicks in, especially on long, or steep, hills. You talk about the benefits of an intercooler and it got me wondering if mine has one - will have to take it in to have that checked. The gears also stick, every now and then, and refuse to shift from 1st to 2nd, but after several minutes, they go back to normal. Wondering if flushing the transmission could cure that problem. My mechanic had advised that I change over to a manual gearbox instead.
Hii...1 of my frenz used this 1kz engine..with auto trans..and he experianced a problem with that trans before...so his trans mechanic change the part ..inside..which is similar with 2005 Hilux auto transmision..i dont know what the part name..but i hope this give you a clue..here that Hilux code Vigo Commmonrail..now he still use that tranmision for past 5 year after change thats part..
Sir, this LC looks fantastic. Very good condition. But just fyi … this is not the 78 series (Troop carrier, troopy), this example is the 76. Yes it’s a seventy series but not the troopy. The 78 has a longer and other wheelbase and the cabin is longer and higher. The 79 is the pickup. Most sold in Middle East, Africa and Asia/Australia. Nice video anyway

Sir, I am about to buy a similar vehicle here in Virginia but I feel like the seller is asking too much. What would be a decent deal for a similar car? The paint needs some buffing. The interior needs a deep cleaning
