That's amazing work man, your own edge highlighting is one of the best and most useful I've found and use
Thank you 😊 I think everyone else is trying to keep it a secret haha
I tried getting into painting back when the pandemic started, but a number of factors left me feeling distraught. Thanks for giving me just a bit of the motivation needed to give my Raven Guard another shot
That’s awsome. I hope things work out this time. It’s a great time to get started 😁 good luck
Dude can even make plain black armour look interesting!
I think I need a break from black armour haha
@@TableTopReadyTH-cam maybe a foray into greys then 🤣
@@TableTopReadyTH-cam would be interested to see your take on things like blood effects if any of that’s on the pipeline?!
I’m working on including shorts to my content. I can’t cover everything in the main videos and it will allow me to do random stuff like blood effects etc I’ll ad it to the list 🖖🏻
@@TableTopReadyTH-cam good man, think shorts is a great idea for things that are a bit different! Individual effects like grime, rust, oil, blood etc would be great on a shorts platform!
Thanks so much! I will try the black scheme for the Covenant of Fire chapter. Looks awesome!
thank you. good luck with painting your chapter :D
Never thought of doing the undersuit metal before
I wanted to do something different to the other chapters 🤷🏼♂️ mix and match
I've seen a lots of ppl painting minis lately, but yours are the best looking and the best descripting videos imo. Love your videos
Thank you so much 😊 that really means a lot. I really want to figure out how to get more content out though
😎 i found you today and ny abilities to paint warhammer has increased so much. Thank you! You keep it simple and easy to understand.
awesome. Welcome to the channel :D
Great tutorial as always. Would love to see a farsight scheme in the future!
I do like the new miniature 🤔
Watching these videos really makes me want to get back into painting 40k dioramas.
I've noticed all the mistakes I used to make as a kid while watching your videos.
Buying all the right equipment and paints all over again just puts me off, I lost thousands of pounds worth of figures, collectibles an equipment to a house fire so all that time an effort up in smoke.
I always get the urge to start again and your videos are persuading me too😅 nice videos!
We never truly leave the hobby. Most people tend to come back to the after a break. Sorry that you lost everything, that sucks. Go check out my painting your first miniature tutorial, it’s a good way to get started. You can also head into a warhammer store and paint a miniature to see how you feel with it 😁 good luck and I do hope you can find your way back to the hobby.
@@TableTopReadyTH-cam So true and thanks. I have your Space Wolves tutorial saved and I'm thinking of starting with a small order of them as they where my very first for the nostalgia plus I can't wait to apply your tips an see how they turn out.
No doubt after that it'll Crimson fists :)
Good luck 💪🏻
Been waiting for this one, good work Michael!
Thank you 🙏🏻 glad I was finally able to get this one done
Very nice Chanel man, great production quality , comprehensive steps and clean paint jobs. Keep it up!
Thank you. I’ll do my best 😁
Beautiful as always
Thank you! 😊
Have you ever considered doing a Blood Angels Death Company video? Or maybe some Deathwatch?
I’ve considered doing everything 😋 I just wish I had the time and speed to do it all 😭
Tried this out, really liked the results. thanks!
Awesome. Well done. Glad I could help 💪🏻
Gonna paint old Ravenguard Captain from Firstborn battleforce.
Thanks, this is really helpful as always❤
Happy Easter btw🐣
Happy Easter 😃 good luck with the captain
@@TableTopReadyTH-cam Thanks, I can do it thanks to you😊
Have you tried using Black Legion contrast on its own yet? I'd consider replacing your abaddon black with it. One coat, matte finish, no mix needed and so it's easier to fix mistakes since it'll be the same consistency.
I’m happy with abaddon black. I like to stick with the acrylics mostly for the videos. I do use contrast for some of my personal stuff though and black legion is very good.
As always, great video.
Thank you 😊
Thankyou for the tutorial. I need a tut such as this due to collecting a large Raven Guard army for both 30K and 40K. I don't know if it's just me though, but I don't particularly like highlighting my models. I just prefer doing the straight black armour with a hint of white.
Glad you liked the tutorial. Highlighting isn’t for everyone. Always do what works for you 👌🏻good luck with the revenguard 😃
@@TableTopReadyTH-cam Thanks, the army is almost complete. All I need to finish it, is a Vindicare Assassin and a Storm Eagle Gunship. Once that's done, that's that. To be honest, I actually really like the way that you paint those models. I think that's a certain level of both patience and precision that not a lot of people, including myself, have. For me, being the lazy asshole that I am, it would be a simple case of base with some black spray, go over it again in black spray, do the chest eagle and shoulders in white, done, end of. I can't paint to save my life, but I have mastered lazy.
Have a go at a light drybrush to highlight. Use a small drybrush and get as much paint off as you can. I would use dawnstine. Especially for your vehicles which need it as they have large flat panels. You can clean up any messy areas again with your base colour
@@TableTopReadyTH-cam Yeah, I've done dry brushing before on some of my old armies. I've been collecting since the 90's, but mostly my armies either got sold off or shot with an air rifle when I got bored of them, back when firearms were still legal in the UK. I've got a fair collection of vehicles now, particularly dreadnought class, so I can give that a go. I was a bit concerned as to how dry brushing would work on plastic models, given that when I first started, most models were made of lead or metal, when used in conjunction with none metallic, water based paint. The one thing that I do love about Iron Hands and Raven Guard is that their base paint is the same as their primer. What used to be called "Chaos Black", now "Abaddon Black", done.
Cool vid I've started my journey now been putting progress up on your sub reddit
Awsome. I do have a nose in there when I get the chance, so I’ll keep an eye out for your stuff 😃
@@TableTopReadyTH-cam lol I'm the last person to post in the last few days
Ha, I'm the other dude that's been posting regularly for the last week! (Deathguard and orks)
Only started around the end of February so have got a lot of fundamentals from watching Michael's videos.
It's good to have a spot to share our experience as beginners.
Great work
Thank you 😊
A great tutorial! Thank you for sharing!
Thank you. I’m glad you liked it 😃
Great
Thank you 🙏🏻
Extremely helpful, cheers!
🙏🏻 thank you
Another great video as always!
Thank you. Always appreciate the comments
Very raven
I do my best 💪🏻
any tips for painting skin of the raven guard
Kislev flesh base. work upto pallid wych flesh on the raised areas. maybe I'll do a short in the future when I get the chance :D
I love that channel, but missing the "ork content" :) Pls doing some ork painting videos soon :)
I will get around to more Ork stuff, I just want to cover some other factions first 😁 so don’t worry
Maybe another some aeldari models?
Eventually, as soon as I can 😁
How did you attach these parts to the little spruce bits? Very nice tutorial on these. Gonna try it out!
Either blu tac or super glue. 😁
@@TableTopReadyTH-cam Thank you very much. I’m picking up some blu-tac today then. ❤️
Next guid should be how to buy raven gaurd because I can’t seem to find any battle packs
Haha everything seems in short supply at the moment. I think because they put all their resources into making the new 40k launch box 🤷🏼♂️
A greenish armour next?
I do have dark angels and salamanders on the channel 😃 go check em out
Any updates on the paint giveaway…. Been no mention of it since!?
It was all sorted out a few weeks. I wasn’t able to release any details though.

Thank you
Grey knights, please?
After I’ve done the cadian combat patrol 😉
