I just ordered this bag from a Japanese seller on ebay aswell. And it says in the payment confirmation message that if you live in the US there are no custom fees as long as its under $800 :) Im from Europe so I might get custom fees, since I did last time I ordered a noe GM and they charged me about €40 customs.. But just wanted to let the US buyers know :)

You can import $800US per day without having to pay custom duties. I think handbags are like 2%. Paying duty is really painless. If it's sent through DHL or UPS etc they just text/email you and you can pay online before it's delivered. I haven't paid taxes for bags but I have on instruments I've bought on Yahoo Japan.
I have the same bag that u drove 1.5 hrs for. I love the lining on the travel bags. I'm now waiting for the Saumur 35, and the Louis Vuitton Excursion any day now. I will share a video once it arrives.
Hi Julie I had bought a lv duffle bag in the 55 and lent a friend it and they got tar all over the vachetta the bag was 20 years old I took it to Bloomingdales Louis Vuitton in New York and had all the leather and zips replaced for 700 dollars and it took about 7 weeks. So to replace the rivet may be a shorter process btw love your channel I’m also looking for an alma mm from Japan thanks for the insight
30, 35 and 43 which is ideal for weekender. again good buy. in my country, anything above USD 125 (approximately) is subject to custom charges, duties etc. my recent acquisition form Japan in Chanel "bowl" bag in caviar finish leather in sweet pink. love it

can I ask what did you pay or the bag i order many bags from japan no additional customs but.. I heard that above 80$ dollars there is custom not sure need more information any idea about that ??
I live in Germany and I bought vintage bags (Dior, LV, and gucci) from japanese ebay sellers, i always paid for taxes, the amount differs, around 30% of the total price (item price + shipping fee)... but anyway, it's still a lot cheaper than buying from consignment stores here :)
Agree in Australia you have to pay customs, but we don’t really have much consignment here, people usually sell on eBay themselves but Japan sellers can be cheaper or have items that no one else is reselling yet
The stitching was bad in some areas. Seller did not inform me that the bag was repaired by a non LV cobbler. I had it authenticated and that was how I found out. :( I still need to find out how much the return shipment would cost me, and see if it's worth returning the bag.
🤔CUSTOM FEES ARE PAID IF ITS OVER something like $800. If you aren’t paying customs, then your purchases are either under $800 or they are claiming it’s worth less than you paid. Check your labels/paperwork.

I sent them a message asking about the odor of the bag and they sent me 2 responses. 1st basically saying “All item we are dealing are pre-owned and vintage items with any kind of odor come from somebody else home. If you concern about odor, we truly recommend you to cancel the item. As you might have been aware, odor is subjective, not objective. To some people, it is offensive. Others just do not care.” This I understand. But the second message caused concern and was sent after the bag was shipped. “japan_monoshare: Hello, We have checked the item odor and it had very strong smell of rotten fish mixed with cigarette, cannot corp with it. Your item, therefore, is cancelled with refund. Best regards,” I live in Italy and I will definitely have to pay taxes on this. I’m not sure what to do. Im too curious to know if it’s true or not. I will probably accept the package .

I live in UK and bought a few things from Japan and each one had custom fees to pay of at least £50 per item (more for larger ones).
In the U.S you don’t need to pay customs if the amount of the order is less than 800 dollars. It’s mentioned on one of the seller’s page.

Agree other consignment stores prices can be crazy
DHL usually takes less than a week. EMS takes longer, like 2-3 weeks

I have used a flat iron on the leather to bend it back. Put it on low and work up from there. This may help.
