Absolutely, if it were new, or new-ish? That would have been unacceptable. But this thing is definitely old enough to get a pass! LOL! Thanks! She really is in great condition. It's just the little things that need to be fixed. Canvas is still great, the interior is fantastic, and the strap will last another 10 years easily. It's part of why I love vintage LV so much! *hugs *

Hey girl, how you doin " in my Wendy William voice" Lol.....What I was in Chi-town too about 3 weeks ago. I am lovin the hair girl, on point. Girl I would have gone back and looked for it Lol.....Yes that is true. When I had my leather replace on my Speedy it wasn't that white looking vachetta. But it's good that they have leather that is already patina. It's a beautiful bag. As I've said, I have it in the size 30. I think I will be passing it off to my son though.
Hopefully you got the vachette replaced, I just dropped mine off a few days ago and it was $600 to replace all the leather and hardware! I heard that Louis Vuitton is starting to slowly roll out a policy where you can't get your bag repaired unless you have the receipt. So I'd bring your bag in soon if you still haven't done so. I think once you replace all the leather on the bag, it can sell on the used market for $1500.
Hi there! Not yet. I've literally just put that off to the side during the pandemic. I wasn't going anywhere other than to the kitchen, so it wasn't a priority! LOL I'll probably get it done early next year. I was quoted $400, but that was two years ago, so it'll probably cost the same as yours. So expensive, but worth it in the end! And thank you for letting me know about the policy! I had no idea that they were doing that, which is just...ugh.
No matter what...always get your bags fixed by LV. If you get someone else to fix it and then later try to fix it by LV, it's no longer considered "authentic" and they won't fix it for you. Consider it a blessing in disguise. I like the bag.
Hi there! Yeah, that's normally the first thing that I consider when it comes to getting something fixed. But this one is definitely a forever bag for me, and I'm okay with getting it fixed outside of LV, even though they won't touch it with a 10 ft pole afterward. LOL! For all the leather and brass hardware to be replaced on my Saumur 35 it was $600 and it was worth it! The bag looked brand new afterwards
