Mostly hamburger, but enough of the head had my "dead" character's personality as salvageable. We were planning on capturing a cloning facility to somehow stop the almost guaranteed death and regrow the body. Our backup plan was a black market cyborger. Well, the party got a lot of stolen IG-88 parts. The cloning facility failed. We went to the cyborger. My dead character was rebuilt into an IG-88. Only memories and personality were intact. Had to get new skills but the bulk of the brain was the droid hardware which had some killer skills. Now, on to the point. As an IG-88, I (my character) was smarter, faster, and deadlier than anyone not a Jedi knight with a lightsaber. I was walking 360-degree room sweeping firepower with built in hacking ability that surpasses the need for an astromech in that way. Also, an insane amount of tech gear built into my body. What's the catch. I was a glass cannon and anyone seeing me immediately decided to go into overkill and emergency strategies. Hide behind a pillar? That stormtrooper will fire a concussion missile past the pillar to explode on the wall behind you just to blast-radius hit you. I have a serious question that I hope one of you can answer. Ok, here it goes... so the IG unit seen in the mini series “The Mandalorian” appears to be the robot version of Clint Eastwood with Soldier 76’s tac visor. So my question is why did the separatists produce battle droids and super battle droids as their main infantry units when the could’ve just mass produced this highly effective IG model instead?...
Largely due to costs and availability of resources. The OOM & B1 series battle droids used cheap abundant materials in comparison to other droids. These resource limitations even managed to severely cripple production of B2 super battle droids, and prevented them from fully replacing the B1's in combat roles.

Whenever I would start up A Lego star wars game I'd be so excited to unlock the IG-100 Magnaguard droids One of my favorite droids of all time next to IG-88 and BD-1
IG-11's walking motion in The Mandalorian is kind of scary. It also reminded me of how the T-800 walks in Terminator 1, almost very identical. Skynet is in Star Wars Confirmed.
It's really just an anti-vehicle grenade on a pole used from the back of a motorcycle. Such an anti-armor weapon is still found in modern-day field manuals (See page H-5 to H-6 in FM 21-75), you're just employing it from a fast mobile vehicle rather than an ambush. If I was a tank crewman and had a bunch of people on motorcycles armed with pole charges attacking me with suicidal feirceness I'd be rather worried, even with machine guns I wouldn't be sure I could kill them all; now you add on to that the speeder bikes can fly... Now Is it going to be the primary anti-armor tactic on the battlefield? Hell no. But if you got the speeder bikes for your normal scout or air cavalry(?) duties and the power lances sitting around why not have it in the doctrine?
@@williammagoffin9324 Except, they did not work like grenades at all, they were metal lances that pierced through armor. The only thing they have going was vibrating end under high electricity. Moreover - lances were held by hand, with no harness, on speedbikes that could exceed few hundred km/h, so touching anything with it, yet alone armor, would in the best case dislodge the arm of a clone trooper, in the worst case kill him instantly from the sheer forces involved. Which I'll give it to Geostomp - got a fierce competition for the dumbest thing ever, but still... it's mindbogglingly stupid.
All droids can become sentient with enough time that’s why they had their brains wiped regularly just look at R2D2, he was a droid that never got its memory wiped.
I think HK series is more dangerous as well, for their cognitive intelligence and being able to plan assassinations with tactics and strategy. IG units simply go guns blazing.
I like that Legends is finally getting some spotlight after all the casuals and movie diehards have seen the rot in which Disney and rhe current LucasFilms Canon has laid before them...
Well you got to look at it like this, they were created to be used as tools for their purposes. Its a machine after all. The only issue is they gave them sentience, which makes them more advanced, independent, and adaptable, but as a result they have emotions. Now you wouldn't treat a tool with kindness or a loving/respectable nature would you, especially if its one created for killing people. They should of programmed a more "loyal" personality into it rather than let it just run wild, similar to how HK-47/51 is in kotor/swtor.
I seem to recall IG-88 being the trigger man for the super laser during the Battle of Endor. Choosing when to fire despite the organic crew wanting to target ships. But alas that is all Legends now. Great book that Tales of the Bounty Hunters.
HK-01 started a horrific droid rebellion in 4000 BBY. GO-TO (butchered his name) started an interplanetary security hack that got people scared for their lives in 3950ish BBY. (From KOTOR II) An advanced AI system named Mentor gained true sentience and only saw the evil organics could cause across the galaxy and began a countdown till he'd unleash a cyber virus that'd turn every relatively advanced droid model against their owners and slaughter them... HK-47 started his own droid uprising on Mustafar in 3 BBY (I think) IG-88A started his up on Mechis III with his bros in the Galactic Civil War Era.
I've always just referred them to the "Eh. I guess droids" because the premise of that is funny to me. The I guess droids who always just go Eh I guess.

"I wonder if the IG droid series is going to be in the Mandelorian series"
Whenever I would start up A Lego star wars game I'd be so excited to unlock the IG-100 Magnaguard droids One of my favorite droids of all time next to IG-88 and BD-1
IG-11's walking motion in The Mandalorian is kind of scary. It also reminded me of how the T-800 walks in Terminator 1, almost very identical.
Skynet is in Star Wars Confirmed.
YVH droids are literally Terminators in Star Wars
All of the stuff explained at the end is why IG-88 is my favorite bounty hunter!
Jesus, those lance fights were one of the dumbest things-ever Star Wars.
Visually, possibly. Storyline wise, not even close. Especially not after the Last Jedi's many tactical wonders.
BTW, fun fact: those lance droids are a still part of the Disney canon, via comic books (lance clone troopers, interestingly enough, are not)
SkywalkerWroc is It says something when a tactic is considered too risky for even the infamously disposable Clone Army.
i never thought they were deadly till i saw the mandalorian episode where it kicked butt.... id like to see more of them. :)
*IG88A exists:*
*Droid planet:* You SOB, I'm in
Excellent presentation, my good sir!
Thank you friend
Why did he chuckle a bit when he said they almost wiped out all organic life in the galaxy?
All droids can become sentient with enough time that’s why they had their brains wiped regularly just look at R2D2, he was a droid that never got its memory wiped.
For a moment I read RDR2
I thought you meant the Robot in Red Dead Redemption 2 that kills its owner.
R2 could be near sentient enough to have ptsd
Love the content man! 👌
a thousand years of peace sounds like a triumph, actually.
And I quote "If droids could think none of us would be here." Truer words were never spoke again.
HK series is the most dangerous but a face off video would be lit
I think HK series is more dangerous as well, for their cognitive intelligence and being able to plan assassinations with tactics and strategy. IG units simply go guns blazing.
I like your inclusion of Legends into these videos.
I like that Legends is finally getting some spotlight after all the casuals and movie diehards have seen the rot in which Disney and rhe current LucasFilms Canon has laid before them...
There's just not enough info in canon for long youtube videos
10:06 That would be so weird to see in a movie lmaoo
Dude this was actually super informative. Keep it up!!!
If an organic mind is capable of designing a superior mechanical mind, is the mechanical mind actually superior?
Honestly with all these things running around the star wars galaxy is terrifying
"Slammed a door into Palpatines face"
AYYYY! I’m so happy you showed the HK series some love dude. Haha. 👍🏻
These should have been the main battledroids of the prequels.
The best one sacrificed his life
Mando right before:Do not self destruct
IG:I must self destruct
Mando:DO NOT SELF DESTRUCT
The IG series: murderbots.
I robots
8:45 what is this scene? I want to see the full scene but I can’t look it up cause I don’t know what it’s called. Does anyone know?
From the solo movie bro I got you 4 years later 😂
@ thanks LOL!!
This is why Abominable Intelligence is strictly forbidden by the Emperor.
You forgot to mention that IG88 B was made out of leftover and re used props from the cantina scene.
I just want one that makes tea, nurses, and protects
Cool video bro. You keep answering the questions I have in my head.
Isn't he just a Rolls-Royce engine?
This is why you treat droids with respect
YVH Battle Droids were the most deadly, just saying lol.
this
what about the iokath gemini droids
Maximum efficiency.
Hey generation tech, welcome back to another episode of Allen , my name is friends.
Droids are treated like garbage. I totally agree with the Droid uprising.
I was gonna say... Didn't that droid go rogue and created droid revolt on humans🤔
Yeah. Nooooo.
That's not the droid we're looking for...
Noata Kun it was, it was a book
@@Frank-pm4de lol. Okay. I thought so. Thank you man
HK-01 started a horrific droid rebellion in 4000 BBY.
GO-TO (butchered his name) started an interplanetary security hack that got people scared for their lives in 3950ish BBY. (From KOTOR II)
An advanced AI system named Mentor gained true sentience and only saw the evil organics could cause across the galaxy and began a countdown till he'd unleash a cyber virus that'd turn every relatively advanced droid model against their owners and slaughter them...
HK-47 started his own droid uprising on Mustafar in 3 BBY (I think)
IG-88A started his up on Mechis III with his bros in the Galactic Civil War Era.
Awesome channel bro thanks!
well.. the droid revolution seems like a way better story arc then the rebellion..
Very nice video about one of my all time favorite characters.
Sounds like those droids are the very thing Yuuzhan Vong dispised about artificial intelligence.
IG series:(exsists)
HK-47:are you challenging me?
Can you imagine a light saber wielding IG unit? Oof
So a magma guard
E5 Jedi Hunter
Gabriel Suarez I think they’re more lethal with blasters.
Not just look a little cooler but sound a little cooler as well! Desperately need sound dampening foam for that wall echo you have going on Alan
How'd he take 50 bolts from the randoms but goes down from one shot to the head
The mandalorian probably knew its weakpoints. He did a precise shot on its head while the criminals were basically just shooting everywhere
@@AlbertRazzer That and the Mando probably had a more powerful blaster. We've already seen his rifle be able to stun, kill and decinagrate.
Also he’s not dead Taiko Waititi is returning as the droid later on in the series
he also shot him point blank
@@user-hq6nq2on2z really don't think that makes a difference with a blaster
I've always just referred them to the "Eh. I guess droids" because the premise of that is funny to me. The I guess droids who always just go Eh I guess.
It would be more deadly if it had 4 arms.
Yayyy a non fallen order video! Haven’t got it yet just avoiding spoilers.
Oh come on, we all know HK-47 would destroy these clankers. The droid loved to kill jedi for fun.
I like the new office, not the echo, and I LOVE the background music
AHH, star wars meets terminator.
Oh, wait until Guri comes back into Cannon
weldonwin I don’t think she’s coming back, she was pretty waifu fanficky
Anyone who knows who Guri is knows "what's up" 😂
I love you guys. All of you are true geeks. If there was anything more to say...it would all, always be good.
