Visit Bere Island a short film of things to do and see

Bere Island is a fantastic little island laying off of the Beara Peninsula. It is well worth a visit for a few hours or a few days, there is plenty to do and see. Visit Bere Island and help support small island life.

I stayed on the island for a few days in 2015 in an Airbnb run by an English couple. I've been to most of the places in the video. Would love to back one day, but it's a long way from here. I'm Australian.

I was just here this past November. I feel I should note that the cafe was closed for the season and the Heritage Centre had converted into a community centre for the season and all the displays had been put away. There was still plenty to see but it was not as fun as I was hoping. I was quite hungry by the time I got back to Castletownbere. Another note: The ferry cost was 8 euros per person and 50 euros per car. Unless you're a local then it's 5 euros per person and 35 euros per car. As of November 2019, anyway.
