- I'm using a Danco Tub or Shower Trim Kit for a Moen Faucet. The kit comes with 2 handles, a face plate with multiple inserts and gaskets. It is an easy way to update an old shower handle and faceplate.

Are different brand trim kits interchangeable? We have a Delta trim kit. Can we say put a Moen trim kit on?

Hi, you can usually use a precision slotted screwdriver or utility knife to get under the edge of the cover.

I'm trying to remove the screw holding the plastic knob but it's turning the entire valve. My problem is that the clear plastic knob spins freely and no longer turns the valve. Any advice? I have a brand new DANCO clear plastic replacement knob for Moen shower handle.
Hi, try pulling back hard on the knob while unscrewing. If that doesn't work you can use a hacksaw or oscillating multi tool to cut the knob off.
