- Riverside police arrested 104 people, many of whom identified as homeless, during an undercover operation along the city's Magnolia Avenue corridor. Nicole Comstock reports.
Ever figure out Where the 20 billion went to help the homelessness?
its called the less than 1%
Why even bother arresting them. 90% back out again. Why bother?
Because police answer to everything arrest hundreds of people is stupid wasting all those resources just to have someone booked and released they should focus on real crimes just absolutely ridiculous and it's not going to fix the homeless problem it's not done fix the drug problem it's not going to fix anything
So now they're targeting homes people and that going to do what if you could arrest your problem out of the situation we wouldn't have a situation in all across United States these idiots keep doing the same thing and it does not work

drug dealers and thieves????what a shock
Well we don’t grow the drugs here they come in from the CIA they’re not coming in a little car they’re coming in a big airplane complements of United States Government they need to Keep Them Court, Winfield and I need to keep the stupid police officers busy
as if homeless encampments are hotbeds of criminal activity
Because there are drug buyers oh my gosh what a shock! LMFAO
Same thing I was thinking!
What gave that way SMH!
Catch and release .... joke!! 😒
Exactly, it makes for good tv if you’re an imbecile
If you practice it while you’re fishing why not practice it in our jail system
What are they supposed to do?
Let the murderers, robbers, and rapists out to make room for someone who stole a loaf of bread? 🤔
Jails are packed in California and always have been.
There are levels of seriousness when it comes to crime.
Murderer, or homeless guy stealing food?
Yeah they should mandate drug programs instead of just letting them out. There's plenty of them in the Inland Empire.
Do your research before voting? Look what proposals people voted for before that caused this crap!
You mean I’m a dumb urban democratic blue urban plantation dwelling fool?
This problem runs deeper than that.
California's prison system is 250% over capacity.
They are being monitored by the feds because of this and have been since 2008.
The feds have ordered California to bring its prison population down to 100% capacity and California is doing all they can to do so, but with the three strikes law, there isn't much that they can do, because the three strikes law has a second strike law that requires anyone sentenced as a second striker to do no less than 80 to 85% of the time that the are sentenced to.
They are already sentenced and they cannot be let out early for any reason .
Even if one were to save a c\o's life, they would get no time knocked off their sentence.
There are tens of thousands of people who are doing sentences under a second strike conviction.
We were told that this was going to happen if we voted in Three strikes, but people didn't care.
They wanted to send people to prison for any crime and this is the result.
So, this isn't because of "liberal" or democrat people wanting to cause havoc.
This is a result of the three strikes law being voted in.
And you can't blame the democratic party for this, because Three strikes was voted for when the state had a Republican governor, a reputable attorney general and a Republican majority in office.
Still didn't get the actual drug dealers just the users
Make 200% rent increases illegal. This is what happens in a greed based society.
Riverside was horrible 45 years ago. Must be really really bad now.
It's really just the homeless problem. Violent
Crime has actually gone down , especially since the 70s, 80s and nineties.
The majority of crimes now are property theft and trespassing.
The biggest problem I have with the homeless is that the vast majority of them are dirty slobs.
They leave trash everywhere.
It's as if trash just falls out of their pockets as they walk.
Naw back then it was a gang issue now it’s a drug and homeless issue

ACLU has been representing homeless people for decades.
Send em to Florida
Jail has become the rehab turnstile for our country. Sad.

What a disaster.
How dare you talk about the Joe Biden crime families California constituents
The police chief was right we voted for all this to happen. We made crime/stealing a violation like a speeding ticket. They get arrested and they are back at it again and
we cry about it yet we voted for this to happen. Ideals are dangerous when you don't understand the consequences.
It's scary as so many suffer mental issues and they will make good on their threats, when going through some episode. Children have become victims to these types of people.
I'm tired of mental illness being used as a crutch to defend acting like an animal
Well if they are only putting 10% of criminals in jail, who are they planning to fill the other 90% with? 🤔
repugs and mAga-mutants!
Protesters against Zionism across this nation
The other 90% PLUS is already filled with prisoners.
Innocent ppl 😂😂😅
Thanks a lot, Newsom

End the war on drugs!!! What a failure !!!!!!
You need a change of government, get rid of your governor
And we want to help the homeless smh. It would be a waste of money
We help a lot of state bureaucrats keep their democratic party campaign fund going because that’s where this money ultimately goes and nobody is none the wiser

Homeless drug dealers. Something sounds fishy?
That's no surprise.

60 days in rehab or jail has got to be the new mandatory minimum. It’s the only way for someone stuck in addiction to break the cycle and get clean so they can make a decision worth a damn.
REHAB is for quiters, won't break me
More than 100 addicts at one time. Did they let them bond out for 1$ or send them to free rehab ?
what 44 dealers? 20 thieves. and the rest starving, unhealthy, and destitute. their few belongings - what? stolen and thrown away? that will really help them.
Drugs aren't illegal in CA anymore.....open use policy in LA & SF.
Idk who told you that lie, I can't even hit my vape without these cops trying to get a small pay day handing out fines and depending on the drug, can be arrested. The only drugs your not going to be arrested for is weed and cigarettes but will still be receiving a fine

Should change the title to Riverside police housed 100 homeless people
The roach motels from La Sierra to Tyler is where most drug dealers are staying. Fine the motel owners for not putting a stop to it.

All we want is a place to call home even if there isn't a home just a empty lot it's enough
So what was the out come on helping the home less
humans are owed space to exist
They're still an app homeless people in Riverside You're not going to be able to arrest yourself out of this problem chief with all due respect if it was that easy it would be fixed
In Riverside, a tax was approved by voters recently to subsidize the police. How about the Chief put out 2 man patrol units and get his officers to actually stop and root out crime with the extra money?
The officers drive by the Magnolia Corridor daily to get to the Magnolia Station. It's surprisingly across the street from the Boot Camp and Northgate.
Revolving door laws makes all these efforts useless. 47 & 57 needs to be recalled with much better enforcement and jail times.
You guys need to search their house
That would take a court order and no judge is going to give any court order to any pig because people are poverty stricken not yet at least

Homeless people are the bottom of the food chain. I get eating then to survive because some people get raised with a silver spoon in their mouth. But what happens when you become homeless and blamed for something you didnt do or have on your person but since you were within 30 feet of someone who did you get blamed with their crimes
lol i was just at that store last night i wouldve been on the new! yes that area is horrible so much crime happening and the riverside PD offices are right there too.

Repeal Prop 47 this November!
Would you please share a little about what Prop 47 is the next time to educate people on your comment? thank you!
@@rshrsh5420 I take it you’re not a California voter? Proposition 47 was passed in 2014 under a deceptive ballot title, which downgraded a number of crimes from felonies to misdemeanors. This spawned an epidemic of retail shoplifting across the state, since the threshold for felonious shoplifting was raised to $950. Therefore, people have been able to get away with shoplifting items valued under $950 with little or no consequences.

Why are ya'll arresting and targeting homeless? I guess if this is how you gotta do it!
Because there is A LOT of drug dealing and human trafficking among the homeless. They are not all innocent down and outs. Lots of criminals causing a lot of problems.
Your absolutely correct
If they arrest Americans at American campuses for the freedom of activism they will arrest people for being poverty-stricken because we’re gonna end up Like communist Israel at this point
They weren't arrested for being homeless, they were arrested for being criminals. Being homeless shouldn't give them a pass to commit crimes.
Perhaps you failed to hear the part where the homeless guy threatened to stab the gym owner
They just let em back out. It's just now they did something. But why put so much effort in the lowest rung of the drug ladder when you could put that manpower toward getting the bigger guys I don't understand. I can walk in anyone's shoes, but I can't lower my IQ to understand why police do anything they do....its like giving a preschooler a gun these days.

The government could create a more organic safety net by simply giving very generous tax breaks to homeowners who rent out a room, For mother-in-law cabin On their property, Or possibly a regulated RV in their home.
The income the homeowner gets from it would be non taxable. As well as they could take advantage of home improvement tax breaks. This would mean that they would rent out their rooms to people before they actually hit the street and fell into a state of non employability. It's important to catch people at that point while there's still employed but realized they are heading into homelessness for whatever reason. Of course many will still fall short of this safety net. But by making it a national program Homeowners will be encouraged financially to seek out candidates who are still employed and in somewhat good health and condition. This would also lower the cost of renting apartments due to have fundamental migration from high priced home and apartment rentals to low cost room rentals. Of course local regulations would be needed to fit each geographic area. But formalizing it in this way would help homeowners who are on the brink of losing their homes as well as the homeless and then near homeless.
Jesus Christ please touch each person and bring Your Perfect will for them in every way. Light be. Amen
