думается мне, что от температуры на улице (45-50С) зависит, ну и конечно же гнутость электрода влияет сильно на мастерство. (сарказм) А швы реально смотрю и диву даюсь, ни раковинки
И смех и грех. Но стараются. По этим видно что зажиточные, у них станок есть, новый почти. Перед этим ролики смотрел, там одни ключи и болгарка. Но как пользуются станком и измерительными приборами, просто дичь.

Изначально эта деталь была некакая есть такая наука машиностроение нет понятий из чего это сделано так вал изготоаленый по всем правилам неломается а ремонт где посадки где допуски как конченый вал можно наварить?люди бернтся литье или прокат и точят новый вал.Сварка может быть как челый метал но хотябы под флюсом .С этой деталью клиент приедит через 3 месяца
Why does everybody insist on pulling these guys down! They do an amazing job with very little. If you were broken down hundreds of miles from anywhere they would get you going. I don’t understand how they work in flip flops and squinty goggles but they do. If you sent them some safety boots and goggles they probably wouldn’t use them. If that job needed doing in the UK first port of call would be the breakers yard for a good s/h unit ( don’t think they have those as they keep thinks going for ever) next it would be pressed apart, turned down metal sprayed then machined back to spec. Pretty much what they did. For this job nearest half mm and a good surface finish is all that’s needed.

And then I ask myself, is it the inability to acknowledge that, despite our advanced technology, we are no more effective than these people with their simple technology and their technical understanding. I am now laughing at our "technical aces" who cannot diagnose what is missing in a vehicle without reading out a fault via a computer. And woe to the error is not clearly indicated. Oh my God, then many are at their wits end.
What is wrong with people? Putting down hard working techs either because they have limited access to tools or “too much”? In my early 20s I’ve been working as an emergency service tech for commercial trucks and heavy equipment. In 95% of the calls I’ve been by myself and the average emergency repair time was 2 hours. It is true that we don’t have to deal with this kind of damage here- but the issues that arise must be dealt fast and proper- there might be exceptions but for the most part people do an excellent job keeping this trucks on the road in US / west- takes a lot of work for same day shipping… All I see is people trying do their best with whatever they have available. As for safety concerns, people here in US die every year being hit on the side of the road while servicing/ towing vehicles. I’m afraid that if things go south in this videos and somebody gets seriously injured they will just be replaced and quickly forgotten….
Having worked in both worlds you refer to in your comment. I concur with you. A text book solution or a practical and economical one. Replacing everything is the easiest option.
Vehicles software is designed to not let the little man work on it so larger companies don’t loose revenue. It still needs a human to understand a series of fault codes and diagnose and replace, these idiots are not like we was 50 years ago without technology they are scammers who do what it takes to get the vehicle on the road dispute their lake of care for machining and welding heat , they will all break and possibly put someone’s life at risk but it’s the conscious they don’t have. Witch is why they get a hard time from us

Wow! I guess I better not bitch when I don’t have the nicest tools.....like the nicest dial indicator! Ya know, even a welding mask 😳. And say maybe........shoes! Good for them! Their homemade high speed steel tool actually looked like it did a pretty good job though.
Those shop-made cutting tool looks more like brazed-on type - i.e. one, that has a carbide tip brazed onto a tough steel bar (it doesn't have to be hard, like HSS, but it's gotta be tough, like tool steel or spring steel). This type of tools is cheaper and they work better than HSS tools (at least in cases like this one here) and you can cut the metal dry. They predate modern "insert" type tools by many decades, and are still frequently used in "less advanced" countries - and sometimes they are better than those "insert" ones. And anyway with job like this a HSS tool would dull and burn in no time flat (just dull if you flooded it with coolant).
I love these Vajayos so much! living in the disposable society just shows how others value and save what would be thrown away in most places. You have 4 men working n this at any given time, I wld love to know what they charge or this and how much the part they are fixing cost new?
Most amazing part is, all these guys still have all there fingers and toes and eye's etc..... Easy to tell since all of these things are exposed. That being said, quite credible at smething like 26.00 in labor and 20.00 in consumables, 50.00 bucks or so, with a safety man and a QC, bout 2,500.00

And they're probably right. Considering the environment in which the vehicles operate High precision probably isn't that important. Strength probably is important, but I bet cost and getting it fixed quickly is the most important. Also I suspect some of these situations are roadside repairs. If you're in the middle of nowhere and need to get it fixed to deliver your freight you do what you got to do you can always replace the axle or trunnion or whatever that was once you get back to a big city and could order the part. But if you're stuck in the middle of nowhere it's got to get fixed they can't just make a phone call and have the part drop shipped to any location. We certainly have it good in the rest of the western world. But I think we could take some serious lessons from these folks. They work hard and they get a lot of shit done with very little resources. And they use what they have rather than just throwing shit away and replacing it.

As the weld beads were being laid on, I was wondering who would they send it out to and how faraway to get turned down to specs in a lathe. But then there it was……a magnificent lathe sitting there on the dirt floor. Would love to hear the story on that lathe. Way to go guys.
@Neal Wright. You're exactly wrong. You use a 4 jaw chuck for precision turning. A 4 jaw can be dialed in. A 3 jaw is like your power drill, the jaws all close together, the concentricity is determined at the factory where the chuck is made, and gets worse with time and wear.

I would have thought that it would have been better to find a piece of thick walled steel tube, turn the shaft down and shrink fit it. Then machine the OD to size. I wonder how much the shaft warped due to the welding.
I was responsible for a shop very like this. I built them benches etc and generally thought I was helping, but they continued to work at ground level, atleast it was on concrete.
That repair was done pretty well for the most part. But man, would it kill them not to ruin the keyways with an angle grinder?? Having a rocking key is just begging for an early part failure.
Amazed at the amount of brute physical strength being used! It gives me a hernia (I've had three-nothing nice about that) just, seeing these men do this hard work.

@@amateurxxx3798 я не знаю как в России, я давным давно живу в Германии и работаю сварщиком. Сортов электродов столько,что все не запомнишь, и каждый для определенного вида работ. Тем более при наплавке нужна постоянная температура детали и много чего ещё.

The machinist was using a micrometer and I would guess accuracy of at least .05 mm.

Не всегда... микрометр можно еще и использовать как калибр именно это он и делает.
@@Arm-ct8mo учитывая, что он за барабан притягивает, а не за трещетку, то этот микрометр больше ни на что не годится, кроме как для колибровочной скобы. Да и поверку он там сто пудов не проходит, так что...

@@amateurxxx3798 я не знаю как в России, я давным давно живу в Германии и работаю сварщиком. Сортов электродов столько,что все не запомнишь, и каждый для определенного вида работ. Тем более при наплавке нужна постоянная температура детали и много чего ещё.
