Precisely, I wholeheartedly concur with your perspective. In fact, I am actively working on optimizing my setup by substituting my C-stand with stackable light stands.

Totally fair. I originally bought a C stand with the purpose of making an all-in-one setup so everything was mounted to it. But I was always using my camera and mic for other things so it never stayed setup. And now I like to have fun figuring out different setups for each video

The Ninja or ProRes RAW is really just for high-level color grading and or to get around the aggressive internal noise reduction Sony doesn't let you turn off - especially on the FX3

Good to know what not to get👍. Could you make a video on the most essential things one needs, but beginners don't really think about?

I'm not necessarily saying not to get any of these, just that I personally don't use them as much as I thought I would. But that is a good idea, I'll have a think

I'm gonna say it, I just lost a bunch of footage trying to record into the Ninja, I would not rely on the Ninja alone for recording high paying jobs.

Fair enough, I know some people swear by them. I had it stop recording for no apparent reason one time but I've otherwise had no issues. But like I said in the video, I don't use it to record very much anyway

I just don't think you know how to utilize the Ninja properly to record. I love recording into the Ninja. You can set it up thru the camera easily to have the record button on the Fx30 to automatically trigger the Ninja to record as well.

Yeah I do know about that feature. I don't really need to record internally and externally though. I've also noticed that the ninja doesn't like being in the same frame rate and resolution as the camera unless it's set to not record internally when outputting via HDMI. Maybe I'll actually set it up to use the record button on the camera to record externally but I don't know if it'd be a huge benefit

This is what happens when you buy stuff that is over your job inquiries. Probably this guy only shoots one or two videos a month or even less.

I literally explained why I had all this stuff and why it doesn't get used much
