in the chloride test....why 7 drops of silver nitrate for (5 % solution) and 7 drops of nitric acid?..if i am not wrong as per the L& I spectrometer manual we used to add 5 drops as we had 2 % silver nitrate (onboard) and 5 drops of 20 % nitric acid into a 25 ml test sample ....any reason why you added 7 drops....Very well explained thankyou so much

Even 5 drops are also fine it’s just that the extra drops are added just to make the test more stringent that’s all
