    These are genuinely alien. Their appearance is quite comprehensible, but the reference point to describe them is lacking, making sense as life on other planets won't necessarily function in the same niches, food chains, and physiological adaptations we observe on Earth. Like Wayne Barlowe, this is a genuinely alien ecosystem. 10/10.

      Eh, you see adaptations will be similar if it’s a Earth like planet. Similar or the same Environmental niches will exist on these planets for similar adaptations.
      Also the prey and predator dynamic most definitely isn’t unique to Earth either. This actually is just logical.
      Not to mention the lack of symmetry on these organisms are probably not entirely accurate one would speculate. Tho I love these images, It would be nice and even cooler if symmetry could be edited in on some creatures. Because symmetric structures will exist in larger organisms especially. These things are tied to the laws of physics.

    Just so you know, the binary translate’s to “I cant see”. This is probably symbolism for that eye right before. Also that white being has no eye’s so it probably has to do something with that. This is a HUGE improvement over "P L A N E T S" in almost every way! The concept is much more original, and I *love* the idea of using a program like Artbreeder to produce these sorts of creatures! I genuinely got chills from that dog-thing at 6:09, especially when the static over it suddenly disappeared for a split second; my benchmark for an Analog Horror series is "Does the series freak me out enough that I need to exit full-screen view?", and this one absolutely achieved that here. There _are_ still a couple moments that could stand to be improved (the needlessly dramatic dialogue from 4:58 to 5:10 really hurts the immersion, and the creature we see at the end doesn't seem like enough of a pay-off; also, the text seems to have been layered on top of the static rather than under it), but overall this is a MASSIVE step in the right direction and I look forward to seeing what you produce next!

    • @tettettettettet
      @tettettettettet 3 ปีที่แล้ว +22

      The text over the static could make sense since the static comes from the long distance, the editing could be done on earth and therefore wouldn’t have the distortion.

Makes me wonder how many aliens are in this new system, what kind of experiments they've been doing. I'm also wondering if this is some kind of alternate timeline a bit like the Monument Mythos, since they're using anachronistic recording technology given how far in the future it is. • @KeyboardMoment
    @KeyboardMoment 3 ปีที่แล้ว +79

    Alright, theory time.
    At 7:27 , a binary thing is being shown. since I'm in mobile, I might edit some text I write here. Getting off topic but anyways, A binary code or whatever is being shown and I translated it using a website that specifically translates binary to text and what did I find? I found _“i cant see”_ . I still don't know what this is supposed to mean but I hope this helps. And also I think this text is probably related to future videos. Well, I've got a two theories judging by the environment and the life forms of the planet.
    Firstly, Intelligent Life Theory.
    I'm not a marine biologist so don't take my words too seriously. Judging by how much life there is in these waters and how complex they are, let's say these lifeforms has been around for the timespan of our oceans. If these oceans are as ancient as ours, there has to be some development to intelligence.
    When the underwater probe descended at a rapid pace, I theorise that these intelligent beings are dragging our probe down to the depths to probably their habitat. Either that are curious about our "alienlike" probe, sentient enough to realize this probe is not a friend or both.
    Edit to this theory: After seeing the image at the very end of the video, I think my theory is plausible.
    Second, Past Humans Theory.
    7:10 to 7:25
    From just this few seconds, a creature looking kind of humanoid (probably just me) and then somehow an eye. I 50% percent sure that the eye that was shown was actually just transmission interference or something. I don't think this theory is even possible but it's fun to imagine about.
    Too dumb to actually in detail now so long story short, humans long ago attempted to go interstellar, went to this system, ended up crashing to this water world, somehow established a colony there, evolved very fast due to radiation??
    I give up but you get the point. right?
    Just to say, I'm not a theorist. I'm just some average joe that got bored and decided to theorise like some expert professional theorist

    What makes Analog Horror work so well is obviously the visuals and the believability of it all.
    But to me, the thing that freaks me out the most is always the audio. Creepy audio only adds to how scary the image is.
    So whether it’s the audio changing or shifting, it always makes it so much scarier. And sometimes the lack of audio where you expect it to be can be even scarier.
    This video right here is an incredible example of how the audio can make something that’s already scary, even scarier.

    1. Akunet's moons have yet to be photographed.
    2. That humanoid looking creature had some drip clothes.
    3. Frick the Iris from Gemini, this is the real iris.

    This is cool. Its obviously an alternate history since human still have these low level tech but at the same time they also archived interstellar travel. Or maybe not. Its take 49 years for this probe to reach this system so either that we invented some kind of light speed engine (which is unlikely since its still ancient camera and recorder) and this star system is in 49 light years radius from sol, or there is some kind of wormhole exist inside our solar system and we just launch our craft into it.

I think when I think about it like that, it would make sense. Plus the graineeness of the videos could be also affected by the atmosphere but I’m stretching that one.

    i enjoy.
    now for legitimate critique, this has strong and great potential, some advice i have is minimal considering this is already great; make sure the text and blacked out images or normal images have the film grain and vhs quality applied underneath whatever thing you used.
    to keep the ocean theme, id attempt to try and replace the human eye with something more close to the ocean theme yet still unease the viewer, maybe a squid or viperfish eye thats edited to vaguely resemble a human's eye? im sure it could work somehow.
    other than the images and text not fitting the grainy quality, like 98% of this has amazing potential!! keep up the good work :)

    i LOVE to be scared, and with the explosion of this kind of content its hard to find something and maintain high hopes that youve stumbled on something that can scare you, this SCARED me, this is such a gorgeous and effortlessly terrifying concept!
    we’ve seen the alien life/underwater creature horror time and time again, but the use of an AI image creator to make those aliens something vaguely familiar yet so so uncomfortable to look at is honestly so interesting, and the timing, the ability to (mostly) maintain immersion, some of the text shot it/missed the mark, (but i really liked the “interesting”) and the way that you used subtle changes to unsettle the audience made this 8 and a half minute video such a delight. I was uncomfortable! i was unsettled and scared! I’m so excited to see what you’ll do with this!
