personally, the 5th gen mustang for me was the best retro look mustang, the 6th gen pre-facelift was the best mix of vintage and sleek modern look, while the 7th gen is definitely looks the most futuristic and chiseled mustang yet.

As a Gen-X American who was a teen in the late 80's when the 5.0 was our hot-hatch (speaking facts my continental friends) I'm very excited for the last ICE Mustang. Not since the unveiling of the 87 have I been as stoked for a new Mustang as I am now.
I had an '83 and an '86 Mustang 5.0 GT back in the day. I got the '83 in 1986 ironically and then I updated to the '86 GT in 1990 and kept it for about 5 years. Hard to believe the 2.3 ecoboost engine will likely make almost double the horsepower thatmy '83 5.0 V8 did.
Same here i owned a 90 notchback and considering buying another but I will say tome this car is a home run, love the front grille even many don’t, love what they did with the rear design/lights, LOVE the interior (its 2022 so I embrace technology), love the chnages to the body lines and whats not to like about @480HP out of a 5.0? Absolute home run Ford!
Everyone seems to be confused as to what transmissions are available. I've seen multiple channels say different things. From the mouth of Ford, the 4 cylinder is auto only. The V8 has a manual standard and auto as an option. The only auto is the 10 speed. If you buy the Dark Horse, the 6 speed manual is the tremec unit from the Bullet, Mach 1, and GT350 of the last gen.
I saw the reveal livestream last night & I was shocked when the Dark Horse was revealed to be the newest member of the Mustang family. No new Mach 1, no new Shelby, no GT.2. A brand NEW one.

Pretty slick car. The no buttons for controls sucks though, it's horrible having to use a screen to control stuff in a car. Everybody is ruining cars wanting this giant tablets screwed to the dashboards.

This thing looks sick~ The rear end looks the best with it's sharp, angular indent, makes it look straight out of Cyberpunk, and the front looks good, but not as good as the back, hell it actually looks like the Bruckel Bastion from BeamNG Drive in the front!
Wow, really nice presentation of the upcoming 2024 Mustang you did. I love the direction this car has taken. I love the looks - it is now modern and if they keep this styling with improvements on the interior cabin as technology changes, they will certainly have record sales. I honestly believe that they would (or should) in 2030 just offer an EV version that looks exactly like the ICE version and in fact continue until 2035 when it is mandated no more ICE vehicles to be manufactured - or at least hopefully get an exemption. I have a lot of hopes for this styling. I am retiring in a few years and will have one more major new car purchase and I was seriously considering the DeLorean, but after seeing this I may change my mind and save a lot of bucks!
What most previews seemed to gloss over is the technology behind the drift brake, the only thing it shares with the parking brake is the handle. It's actually an electro-hydraulic brake that uses the abs system to apply hydraulic pressure to the normal rear brakes only proportionally to the handle position and not the electrically actuated parking brake. Hence the near instant on / off response and high power of a hydraulic hand brake. Just remember to dip the clutch or you will either stall it or slip the clutch.
It looks amazing and I’m so stoked to see that they have redone the interior/dash. This is the American Classic Sports Car… I only hope it has none of the parts that they have used on the rangers/broncos that have proven to be catastrophic tragedy. 👊🏼💯💙

Don't think you can get the V8 in a manual now in the UK, not sure whether this will be the case with this new one, knowing how the UK government is trying to ram that GREEN word down our necks we probably won't get the V8 and will only get the 4 pot.
I suspect it's going to be expensive, the GT was launched at £36k and the facelift was priced nearer £50k. I'm not sure many people will be willing to spend that much money with the panel gaps, the plastic interiors and the woeful Dealerships. At £36k you can almost over look these but I doubt many will at £50k+ with the quality of the competition in this price bracket.
Well that’s because you live in the UK where your gov. taxes the absolute shxt out of companies to import goods being anything from food to cars. The companies have no choice but to forward that tax onto your citizens. Hence, your 2018+ mustangs being almost 2x the price an American pays after the currency conversion for the same car. The UK gov. manages to take an already grey, cold, rainy, depressing, small land mass set of conjoined countries with 50m people squished together and still make life even more depressing for their citizens by drowning them in tax. All while UK citizens point fingers at the companies for increased pricing but never at their own government who charges them TV tax, petrol tax, luxury tax, council tax, road tax, sweets tax, 20% income tax under £49,999 a year and 50% tax on every £ more, 20% VAT, etc…. then they give you the less than mediocre NHS and say “Look! We give you free healthcare! You just have to join a 6 month waiting list for any medical treatment!” LMAOOOOOOO

This means the Mustang is now priced up against superior Audi's and BMW's which is going to price them out the market. I own an S550 GT so I know what the build quality is like, Ford made huge gains in upping the quality of the S550 for global markets but they're still average cars - we also get the Performance Pack as standard. American cars historically have poor build quality and emissions and low performance and economy, hence why Europe is made up of mostly German and Japanese cars. We are well aware our government taxes us to s**t but the GBP is strong and our wages are good. Our NHS is at times over stretched but it's better than the alternative choice of death or bankruptcy because they're charging $200k and $5k a month for meds. FYI my meds costs £8 per month, the American branded cost without insurance is $350 lol I also don't think you know the history of the British Empire, as you would know we are more than just the UK.

1:42 I owned and raced a 240Z for 26 years and a Fox Body Mustang GT for 10 years so I feel qualified to say that of the 2 I would go with the new Stang any day of the week
I had two 5.0 Mustang GTs, a 1983 and a 1986 and then I owned a 1990 z32 Twin Turbo Z (all those bought pre-owned and kept a long time). The Z was a fabulous car, far greater in every way than those old 80's Fox bodies. But I agree that today I would go for the new Mustang, its a great car. Though I don't like the screens. Actually I would take a current Mustang GT PP2 or Mach 1 over the brand new Z.

An ultimate American muscle car needs at least a supercharged V8 and RWD. They’re usually 2-door but can be 4-door for those who want room for the family. As for the transmission, it can be automatic since most Americans prefer that but they can also go for manual if they prefer to shift gears themselves. Luckily, each body style has only one option and both are offered in both automatic and manual. The Ford Mustang GT/Dark Horse and the Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing. The former offers a supercharger as an optional dealer-installed accessory and the latter comes with a supercharger as standard. Having only one option means it’s easy to decide what car to get.
My brother has a 2022 GT with PP and a 6 speed. I get out of my 95 cobra and into that and can't help but to think it doesn't need to be any faster..i mean that car is scary fast as is. I do love the interior in the '24 model, i like what they've done with it's butt too.

Don't think you can get the V8 in a manual now in the UK, not sure whether this will be the case with this new one, knowing how the UK government is trying to ram that GREEN word down our necks we probably won't get the V8 and will only get the 4 pot.
I suspect it's going to be expensive, the GT was launched at £36k and the facelift was priced nearer £50k. I'm not sure many people will be willing to spend that much money with the panel gaps, the plastic interiors and the woeful Dealerships. At £36k you can almost over look these but I doubt many will at £50k+ with the quality of the competition in this price bracket.

Well that’s because you live in the UK where your gov. taxes the absolute shxt out of companies to import goods being anything from food to cars. The companies have no choice but to forward that tax onto your citizens. Hence, your 2018+ mustangs being almost 2x the price an American pays after the currency conversion for the same car. The UK gov. manages to take an already grey, cold, rainy, depressing, small land mass set of conjoined countries with 50m people squished together and still make life even more depressing for their citizens by drowning them in tax. All while UK citizens point fingers at the companies for increased pricing but never at their own government who charges them TV tax, petrol tax, luxury tax, council tax, road tax, sweets tax, 20% income tax under £49,999 a year and 50% tax on every £ more, 20% VAT, etc…. then they give you the less than mediocre NHS and say “Look! We give you free healthcare! You just have to join a 6 month waiting list for any medical treatment!” LMAOOOOOOO
@@Idk910 Govt taxes the living shit out of stuff here too in Canada but cars are the same as USD with conversion or even cheaper lmao. I'm getting the 2023 Nissan Z performance for $58,500 CAD, same car is $51,000 USD in the states. Granted, I will pay 13% sales tax but that's still not a bad deal overall. EU is just allergic to anything that doesn't look like a tiny pillbox.

My point wasn't my ability to afford the money it was that Ford have (the taxes haven't changed) increased the price by 40% with little in return. This means the Mustang is now priced up against superior Audi's and BMW's which is going to price them out the market. I own an S550 GT so I know what the build quality is like, Ford made huge gains in upping the quality of the S550 for global markets but they're still average cars - we also get the Performance Pack as standard. American cars historically have poor build quality and emissions and low performance and economy, hence why Europe is made up of mostly German and Japanese cars.
We are well aware our government taxes us to s**t but the GBP is strong and our wages are good. Our NHS is at times over stretched but it's better than the alternative choice of death or bankruptcy because they're charging $200k and $5k a month for meds. FYI my meds costs £8 per month, the American branded cost without insurance is $350 lol
I also don't think you know the history of the British Empire, as you would know we are more than just the UK.

I didn't buy a Mustang here in Canada cause you see one on the road every 10 seconds. I chose the new Nissan Z. A car the UK isn't even getting lol, I just don't understand why people want to live there instead of here where it's better in every single way. 1:42 I owned and raced a 240Z for 26 years and a Fox Body Mustang GT for 10 years so I feel qualified to say that of the 2 I would go with the new Stang any day of the week
I had two 5.0 Mustang GTs, a 1983 and a 1986 and then I owned a 1990 z32 Twin Turbo Z (all those bought pre-owned and kept a long time). The Z was a fabulous car, far greater in every way than those old 80's Fox bodies. But I agree that today I would go for the new Mustang, its a great car. Though I don't like the screens. Actually I would take a current Mustang GT PP2 or Mach 1 over the brand new Z.

An ultimate American muscle car needs at least a supercharged V8 and RWD. They’re usually 2-door but can be 4-door for those who want room for the family. As for the transmission, it can be automatic since most Americans prefer that but they can also go for manual if they prefer to shift gears themselves. Luckily, each body style has only one option and both are offered in both automatic and manual. The Ford Mustang GT/Dark Horse and the Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing. The former offers a supercharger as an optional dealer-installed accessory and the latter comes with a supercharger as standard. Having only one option means it’s easy to decide what car to get.

My brother has a 2022 GT with PP and a 6 speed. I get out of my 95 cobra and into that and can't help but to think it doesn't need to be any faster..i mean that car is scary fast as is. I do love the interior in the '24 model, i like what they've done with it's butt too.
