What settings did you use for the Blind Alien at 4:37? I can't get a dark engrave like that.
If you do multiple passes on a piece of metal you're etching, will it start to engrave like the higher output fiber lasers on the market? Just curious if this has deep etching capabilities for doing challenge coins and the like.
Or, can a rotary bed be used from an xTool laser? Also does it come w/ GRBL software?

Looks nice, but I must disagree with the idea that an infrared laser is safer than a blue one. From a safety standpoint, the only difference is whether or not you were able to see the beam that blinded you. Please always wear laser rated safety glasses matched to the type of laser you are using when the machine is plugged in. Alternatively, make an enclosure for the entire machine.

Will it be good mainly for imprinting stainless steel/metal bracelets? Do you recommend something else? Can you do on a round surface like cups? Or better M3?

Is the engraving deep enough to make it permanent?
I love the architecture of this machine, I am looking for one that has similar features to this machine or like the Anycubic I3 mega architecture and ease of use with the on board SD card direct print from file offline, and clean touch panel display at the front, Safety lens built in and possible a proper smoke control enclosure. Something I can cut easily from paper to art foam or wood up to 1/4" or 6mm thickness in as minimal amount of passes. I know there are commercial machines out there but most of them are large footprint, I am looking for a small 12"x24" footprint machine that can do as described.
Great explanation of what it can do. I ran across this thing because I’m always looking for ways to mark materials. I love my Glowforge but this is one area where it falls short. I’ve tried sprays and used acid on metals where I’ve zapped away the resist material. No great successes. Etching black agate is fantastic in my GF but metal etching is a no go. I’ll let you know if I get one of these and will tell manufacturer that it was based on your recommendation.

At the end of every laser work on a logo or a text it has a weird finish on my machine, it makes stripes all over the work, it start first by filling perfectly the surface but only at the end, it will in a fraction of a second start to makes stripes all over the work.

Then I would suggest go to the LasperPecker 2 :D It has the best overall performance on many kinds of materials and it has intuitive user experience. Mr Carve is specifically good for metal :DD
Can you increase the size of picture or words engraved the area looks pretty small if you want to engrave knife or pistol slide

The depth is 0.1-0.3mm. It has a great performance on silver as well. Mr Carve just told me that orders will be shipped from CN warehouse currently, don't need to worry they will use the fastest and securest way to make sure your package get delivered:DD

No sir, this M1 is not for wood engraving, if you want that, go get the Laserpecker 2 or Mr Carve M3 :D

Looks like my fiber laser, my coffee maker and CNC diode laser were alone too long. Nice design, video. How will it compare to my 50 watt?
The link in the description claims it's a 2 Watt fiber laser with a 70x70 work area. I'd venture that it would be almost useless for everything and completely useless for metal.

Can you do “test runs” some how so you can see that the design fits & aligns properly with the back of a watch, for example? Coz if you damage a customer’s Rolex, you’re in serious trouble.
