@@martinwinlow I mean, if you really think about it, we’re still very much leaders in a lot of industries - energy is one that’s ramping up a lot especially with renewables, we’re leaders in automotive and EVs, obviously in defense, leaders in AI, quantum computing, computing in general, additive manufacturing (3D printing), and we’re having a huge push to move the semiconductor industry over to the US instead of Taiwan (for obvious reasons) Of course, we can’t just expect our rivals to sit still and not try to be better than us, but we’re still very much ahead.

It will be groundbreaking if Tesla starts refining lithium in India, here no one has the tech to refine it. India will start the auction of Lithium mine in december. We indians dream about tesla here

Seems smaller than an f150, I need a f350 size or a large suburban sized SUV
@@JBS7551 6.5 foot bed I believe, so depends on F-150 config, which varies between 5.5 to 8 feet.
Also the front is extra lockable storage instead of an engine.

@@virginiamiller3521 Texan here, no, you buy from Tesla directly, but they still have to jump through hoops. So you have to pay your taxes directly, etc. The GOP tried to overturn this old Democrat law last session, but it didn't make it out of committee.

I guess the governor of Texas is a democrat playing as a Republican since he’s the one signing off on them since he’s been in office. If the governor really wanted to abolish the state’s anti direct sales laws, he and his constituents can easily do so. But that risks pissing off the powerful franchise dealership association that lobbies and financially supports the Republican Party. Get your facts straight or get facts in general instead of fake news the GOP relies force feeding their sheep.
I’ve been following this issue since Tesla began their direct sales model and challenged the states that ban them. Texas politicians wants Tesla’s new jobs and leading edge business, but they don’t care to change the anti direct sales laws because they profit way too much from the slimy dealership business.
