God I love watching Wheatley run in these old videos. The guy was a Volkswagen Beetle with a stiffarm.
Only Mi game I ever went to...a great memory:)
❤Michigan stadium hot 🌭
They fought the Law and the Law won!
That Mercury Hayes over the shoulder directional changing catch is one of the best in Michigan history!
that was Desmond Howard worthy! Wow!
2:39 A perfect example of a play that Michigan never makes anymore in this rivalry. OSU has been the team with the guys making the huge timely plays since 2004.
Not this year big blue is back .
2:38 THE CATCH
I honestly believe if not for that unfortunate drunken incident, Moeller would ha eventually won a national champion ship at Michigan.
Agree.
ALL IMMA SAY IS...IT WAS GOOD TO BE A WOLVERINE IN 90'S!!!! GO BLUE!!! YES we should've accomplished more as a squad but hey those other teams had boys on scholarship too. Anywho thanks to all those that bleed MAIZE & BLUE!!!
Call me I got a new phone same number.
Some how you didn't get the other message. I was there for the weekend and tried to reach you.
Not anymore it’s been almost 20 years of ASS Whoopins
It's always great to hear you on the radio Thomas, great to be a Michigan Wolverine wasn't it Thomas go Blue!!
That’s first touchdown was GREAT
Where can we get the full game?
I want to say Michigan was preseason #1 in 1993. They did not live uo to that billing until this game and the bowl game. The team grossly underachieved during the Moeller years.
No they weren't. FSU and Charlie Ward were #1 for every week but 1 that year!
The week before Ohio State players were passing around roses in Columbus, Michigan made them eat it no Rose bowl buckeyes!!!
Was Mercury Hayes supposed to be the next Desmond howard? Why didnt they throw it to Toomer more?
And I thought Powers was starter worthy
Michigan was a 1-point favorite in this game.
6:45 the trick play
I love john coopers face at 9:44. thats his "ehhhh fuck my life" face. lol
this how a um team should look like
I dont know, this Ohioan started following the maize and blue around this time and wondered where the obsession began, Maybe it started with Desmond Howard and Schembechler, or when two of my brothers attended UM summer camp. i have become obsessed with the 90s era wolverines. the 1995 wolverines have a special place in my heart...after moeller? Llloyd Carr for life
Wolverine historian u are right Michigan grossly underachieved that team should of won 11 games , they were a loaded team just like the next 3 three years after and underachieved
As a Buckeye fan I don't know why I watch these games vs scUM from the 90's. You'd think the Bucks' recent success against The Team Up North and national titles would assuage the pain - it doesn't. All the pain comes back. The 1995 game was the most painful sports experience I've ever had. What's really disturbing is that I watch these replays with some weird subconscious hope that my beloved Buck will some how win. I need therapy.
James Urling You know James I'm sure you're a fine person, it's good now to be a Buckeye fan, couldn't be better. Whenever I refer to the Buckeyes I call them, well the Buckeyes, because that's what they're called, or I may say OSU. The reason is as much as I want the Wolverines to beat OSU, I have to respect them, they are a elite college football team, Woody Hays in my opinion is one of the greatest football coaches ever, ever. The moniker TTUN is cool, a tip'o the hat to coach Hayes, Goodness knows the thousands upon thousands of Ohioans who are here in northern Michigan right now, enjoying our weather, beaches, brew pubs and restaurants. This tired and really absurd epithet "scUM" certainly does not show respect for the greatest rivalry in sports. It would seem that just out of respect for this, would give you pause to use this unfortunate epithet. You of course can do anything you like.
I think you're a little sensitive, but fair enough "ttun".
Hal, just clicked on your Google+ page and it's just what I expected - smug, pseudo-intellectual diatribes about atheism, invalid and cliché references to "separation of church and state", blah, blah, blah. What does this have to do with the instant topic? Nothing. I guess I'm just remarking on how laughably predictable - cliché really - your schtick is.
I don't know James, I was addressing your comment on this subject, and I noticed that you didn't address that either. You called the University of Michigan, scUM,....which I've seen over and over again from a thousand of your ilk, I merely wanted to come to a common ground about respect for this great rivalry, but you instead bring up things that have nothing to do with this subject.
Funny, you say that I'm laughable predictable, and you use a epithet that is used by nearly every knuckle-dragging flatlander from Ohio, funny.......
James Urling I do the same thing, lol
Ohio State cycled through HOW many QBs in this game?
Wow.
5:12 THE INT
Michigan underachieved, OSU was overconfident.
I would say Michigan overachieved and played better than they were normally capable
haha, why don't we have this swagger anymore?
@thatdudecozz89 all you have to do is look at the all time wins between Michigan And Ohio State.
Michigan clearly has the upper hand
Michigan s defense snuffed out Ohio State quickly
Ugh! At least Bucks won Holiday Bowl
They will never assert prominence like this with DickRod. Until he quits or gets shown the door, Michigan's football program will be a celebrity has been.
Could you please do a Ty Law tribute video. He deserves to be remember for more than that "freak td" he gave up to Michael Westbrook. He helped re-establish Michigan as Cornerback U!
But didn't he make a nice tackle on that play!
how many ints can you throw with no pressure in one game? the mathematical impossibility of this game astounds me
Am I missing something? I was not alive for this game so I am purely wondering how Michigan defeated 28-0 when Ohio State was the #5 team in the nation and Michigan was unranked. Was Michigan grossly underrated? Was there an injury?
VCavman24 no, Ohio State in the 90s was never ready to play UM. They psyched themselves up going in, but the moment anything went wrong, the wheels would fall off, especially in the games at UM
@ClearlyCaribbeanReb Yeah, Michigan got really pumped up for that game and played better than they really were. Those days are long gone though.
Cooper was a choker. Also, Michigan had underachieved really badly up to that point. They were ranked in the Top 3 preseason but they lost four games because they were overconfident and lethargic through the first 9 games of the season. Moeller could recruit and develop guys but he could never get them to play consistently at a high emotional level.
I would have to disagree with you WolverineHistorian . I don't think OSU was overconfident , I think it was the opposite , once they fell down two scores , they thought , "Here we go again , just like 1991 . John Cooper never had an OSU team really fired up to play "The Game" .
All cliches are “old”. Tautology.
Powers lost his chances to the NFL due to this game, man, he made some horrible pass decisions!
Quite the reversal of fortunes, as UM has only won 7 times since to Ohio State's 17
