You are incredibly strong for getting through 3months of benzo withdrawal. I've had a taste of that torment, Mine lasted about 17 days. from abusing Xanax and clonopin for a couple months I'm tapering off Methadone right now, but I'm so happy it isn't benzo withdrawal
I was on klonopin for 15 years. One day my doctor said she wanted me off them. To say I went through he'll is an understatement. I had ringing in my ears for a long time. My skin felt like I had a bad sunburn. Auditory hallucinations. I had to go impatient. I'm know over 2 years benzo free!!!!💜
the only symptom i have is insomnia. No anxiety, no demons in head, no ringing in ears, no panic attacks, nothing. Only insomnia. But its severe insomnia, so its enough to make me rethink my decision to stop
Grayson doesn't mention any doctors of therapists helping him. I guess he did it all on his own. Bravo! He had no support from family or friends either.
You have my respect for toughing it out 3 months. Thank you. I am following the Ashton manual by slow tapering using valium. I also take most of the supplements you suggest only in different products. I struggle with sleep. I decided not to worry about it. I just wait till I'm exhausted and close my eyes in a dark, cool room. Few people understand how painful and long the withdrawal is. Recently doctors have been told to no longer prescribe benzodiazepines for anxiety Millions are being forced off, cold Turkey. I ended up in the E.R. from my doctor cutting off refills. It was really malpractice, sadistic, and cruel. Ignorant. So, thanks again for your suggestions. We are survivors. God bless us all with strength, courage, and patience. Deb
This really really freaking helped me and I’ve been researching for months on this stuff and have a nursing background! I still hadn’t heard of this stuff helping till now!! THANK YOU ☺️
Glad you made it through too!! I thought I was going to die at the hands of benzo withdrawal. Seriously didn’t think I was going to make it. I was weeping and writhing around on the floor of my dark bedroom for weeks and even months on end. Barely any sleep and my body was just like my own personal torture chamber. The anxiety was frantic and relentless. I’ve been just over a year off all benzos now and am so happy I made it. I still get the odd weird pressure in my head sometimes and some inner body vibrations even after all this time. However, I am 90% better on all other fronts and am living life to the full again. Respect and love to you fellow benzo warrior. X
I'm so glad you survived. I was prescriped a big amount of benzo after trauma and no warnings. Had been living a healthy active social life and now i'm isolated because I just tell my hell all the time to my loved ones and feel like I'm in a different reality from other people. I suffer brain lock, like I don't understand a simple thing and become overwhelmed of any normal things and can't understand that people can do normal things and live their normal lives. I fear to leave home. I loved to excersise and run and now i can't. I can't be with my partner. They did me cold turkey in the hospital and it didn't end well. I have now 35 mg of diazepam because they tried me klonopin the help a while that I could get my brain lock ease (year ago when I was in bad withdrawl symptoms with oxazepam doctor did crossover from oxazepam to diazepam 10 mg and my brain lock went away and I got to sleep and have normal mornings and got to store without agoraphobia and got to cook and see my partner and other people (now i wake up in terror and feel like I die in that second and then realise I'm still after 1,5 years trying to taper hooked up with this drug and then feel I have to die) but the taper was too quick and went badly wrong and then they ct me I hospital and now i have tapered and done crossover from klonopin to diazepam and the starting amount of those two together was 60 mg of diazepam 😥 And klonopin didn't help at all and I realised I'm in tolerance and have to taper this time with Ashton manual and my doctor was willing to read it and we started few months ago. I'm so exhausted and depressed because all I can do is to go store with my mom and I feel there depersonalization and derealisation and awful. I'm in other reality the whole time. And that my brain doesn't function normally is making me panic and being in fight or flight state and fear I won't survive this taper and heal. Did you at any point have problems with brain function And being able to do normal things? Thank you if you can answer. I want my good social life back.
@@lauriina85 I 100% struggled with absolutely everything for nearly a year!!! It was hell on earth. But now I’m mostly completely well again. It will happen for you!! Keep eating really healthy and exercise as much as you can (I could only do it in my house for a long time) but just getting out for a fast walk was really helpful. Good nutritious food and exercise are healing and will help heal the brain quicker. Benzo withdrawal is a brain injury, no other chemical withdrawal lasts months. Be easy on yourself ❤️
@@talksick508 Did you cold turkey or withdraw down slowly?? Pls don’t give up, trust me I was very very close to giving up and ending it but I’m so glad I didn’t!!! You need to eat as healthily as possible and have lots of greens everyday (I know it can feel impossible to eat a lot of the time) but get some healthy food down you and lots of water. Exercise as much as possible (I could only manage at home for a while). Benzo withdrawal is a brain injury and you need to give it time to heal and regenerate new. Good food and exercise will really speed up the process. You can do it ❤️
Coming back to this video to say I’m a month clean from Xanax. These supplements and your advice helped me SO much. CBD with CBN was a lifesaver for me. Hearing someone else say they had many sleepless nights and felt like they couldn’t walk another step without passing out was very motivating. I felt the same way and if you lived through it I supposed I could as well. And I did. Thank you!
I’m withdrawing from Xanax rn.. some nights I feel like I won’t make it. It just took my joy for life from me. As hard as it is though I’m more motivated than ever to get better. As hard as it is I’m gonna fuckin do it. Thank you for sharing your story and these tips
I was a heroin addict... The WDs from that were HORRIBLE. I wouldn't wish that on anyone... I hear Benzos are even worse. Great job on making it through!
im 9 months off methadone after 14 years, i quit benzos over a decade ago, the benzo wd was more debilitating for me with anxiety. alot of the symptoms are very similar to opiates, the brain fog,no focus, body buzzing,no motivation,no energy feel the same
Love this guy! The kind words were more important to me than the supplement suggestions. Day 12 off of Valium. I used it only 60 days of 1 per day. I decided the cold turkey rout but will take a single dose of Klon or hydroxyzine as a life saver only. This makes my struggle easier. Ty so much!
Kratom, deep breathing,CBD/THC, Healthy diet and must stay active... Don't just lie in bed staring at the wall, rocking back and fourth...Best of luck...
Agreed. Intense exercise, clean eating and meditation works for me. If you sit still, that’s when the wretched demons pop up. I had pounding heart beat that would wake me up in the middle of the night. That and tremors. I’m slowly tapering from .25mg. Slowly is key.
@driventoaccount3276 Yes that's true,it acts on the opiate receptors but if you just take enough to get through that hell of Benzo withdrawal, then stop taking Kratom..Only once in a while..Any other withdrawal from anything else will pale by comparison to benzo withdrawal..Everyone should GTFO of them any way they can✌️...
After 23 yr of valium im not great but 4 yr clean (was ) lil relapse of xans now as ache like a mfkr and my bones ache daily for 4 years tumeric helps some . Its living hell , i pace i have rage and my sleep is not right my feet dont always work...Im now not prescribed , my mouth is rotten out .Gabs help to stop the nerve damage tingling pain ... tumeric helps some - thank you for this advice on natural products. Yes anxiety too it helps when you dont have people around you too.
I am horrified. Im about to have to CT 6mg of xanax while taking care of a disabled child. Im so scared! Idk if hospitals will help or not im so scared
@@timmystoner7219 not good at all not good at all I didn't CT I tried to taper and convulsed by taking 11/12ths of my dose ... So I'm in a BAD situation
Our stories are so similar, I was taking Xanax about every other day for years, thought it was fine, decide to stop six weeks ago cold turkey, it had NOT been fun. But I know I am making process. Thank you SO much for the time line of your situation, I needed to look forward to something. And thanks for the supplement info, I was looking for something to help me. Six weeks and counting!
Just curious.. why would you take it every other day? Wouldn't your anxiety be bad everyday? Or is it panic attacks every other day? I've never had anxiety so I don't know what it's like
I'm 9 years off a very high dose of Klonopin and Ambien CT. The first 3 years were hell. I have to say drinking a little bit of alcohol helped me. I stayed on Bone Broth and veggies/fruits. Stayed away from all processed food. After 3 years of feeling brain damaged and suffering, I found out about Kratom. It changed my world but I was still left with cognitive issues. I checked my hormones they were all off, low so I started progesterone, estradiol, testosterone/bioidenticals/natural. D3/natural source. The last thing I found out about magnesium - especially L-Theonate. It crosses the blood-brain barrier and got to the part of my brain where I needed it the most and I noticed significant improvement within days. Everybody is different so do your research and your symptoms - take into consideration your age and past medical history. I'm healed and functioning where I thought I'd never be. Your body will heal itself if you give it what it needs and every one is unique.
@@yourenough3 It can help but your CNS is very sensitive so very very low dosage and you'll want more of the calming like the Red Bali and Red Maeng Da. Good luck!
I'm actually taking red Bali now I'm withdrawal from ambien. Today is my first day taking kratom 15grams in one pill.. so far I took 2 in the morning how much did u take throughout the day?
You're a solid dude, keep up the good work. Ive been through a few very minor episodes of Benzo withdrawal, and in my opinion, it is the king of all misery. I've been through acutely bad opiate withdrawal (from heroin) and it still wasn't as bad as kicking benzodiazepines. I have a lot of respect for anyone who has the will power to kick benzos and then make a video trying to help other people. I only wish more people could be prevented from accidentally getting hooked on this shit. More kids need to be made aware of the perils. All these stupid little rappers act like its all fun and games, but its quite literally, one of the worst decisions you can possibly make to start abusing benzos. May God help us all find another way to deal with our anxieties and avoid the hell that comes with benzo abuse. Buy a treadmill or stairclimber and thank me later!
Thank you so much for sharing. I have been on 2mg of Xanax or lorazepam twice a day. I have done the spacing in between going as long as I can without . Now I'm down to 1mg but hoping I can switch to Klonopin. I eat salmon but am mostly on a plant diet. I took a lot of your info and will try the supplements you mentioned. I know I can do this. Thank you again for all of your help. You are talking from experience with withdrawals so I believe you will help a lot of people out there. Wishing you the very best always.
I have very bad anxiety and I’ve been taking L Theanine and you can really feel it working… I’ve been on tons of prescription medication including benzo’s and this medicine not only helps you get off benzos but also really makes you feel good… Even better than any prescription drugs that I have been prescribed… Thank you for making this video it was really helpful!
Do you take L-theanin WHILE still on prescription medication or AFTER you stopped them? I'm on Prozac and 0.5 Clonazepam. Want to replace Clonazepam with herbal/vitamins but it's tricky bc some can be used with prescription and some can't. That's why I ask about L-theanin. Would really appreciate your response. Have a good day. 🙂
Currently going through withdrawal from Xanax. Even on a very very low dose, you can experience withdrawal symptoms. I was taking .25 mg up to 2 times a day for 4 months. I’m currently taking half of a .25 in the morning, and the same dosage at night if needed. The withdrawal symptoms are mild to moderate, but god damn do they suck. The anxiety is crazy bad. Thanks for your vid and your advice bro. Staying strong and hoping that anyone else out there experiencing this will make a full recovery with as little to no suffering as possible.
Going through the same iv been takeing proscribed Xanax on and of for years but never on a regular until covid then a low dose of ,25 at night now a year later iv reached tolerance and going through withdrawal through out the day on and off I dont wont to take a higher dose I just wont to be able to sleep this drug is hooked me I never thought it would and I wont off so im breaking it in half and some nights im able to get by with juzt a half but pay for it during the day with uneasy withdrawal and some nights I take a half at night wake up 3hr later and cant go back to sleep and take outher half and try to go back to sleep with breathing techniques and sometimes it works if I can do it with in the window of the benzo short acting time and if I cant go back to sleep im stuck wired and tired I am going to just keep chipping away at it I cant stand to let this drug control me its going to be a tuff battle I feel for everyone going through this BC I know some people have it way worse hope we all can beat this horrible drug.
Thank you for sharing your story!! Such authenticity and courage!! Currently supporting my husband thru his Klonopin withdrawal! His biggest thing rn is the dizziness/ nausea, and migraines. Thank you again for your Wisdom as it gives us hope🙏💜✌️
Then congrats, 3.5 years of surviving pure hell and you're still alive. That makes you one of the strongest people to walk the planet, if you've survived this long then you can make it longer and there's no doubt it will end soon having been that long for you.
@@Giablo1 I appreciate the kind words. The last 6 weeks or so have been devastating and I haven't had the energy to do much of anything. I can't work or anything. I, overall, have a very positive outlook and I am very thankful for this experience. This experience has really helped me discover who I am as a person and it has molded my character in a very positive way. It has turned me into a much more grateful, loving human being. I am 23 years of age now and I feel blessed and far ahead of people my age as far as my personal development. I will certainly use the adversity I have/ currently am experiencing to my advantage when I am better. To all that are going through this, I know you all will get through this hell. Please keep this in mind: This experience is what you make of it. I pray you will use it to improve yourselves as people and also as to first hand experiences which you can use to steer people away from dangerous pharmaceutical drugs and hopefully save them a lot of undue pain. I wish everyone a prosperous, blessed 2020.
These really should only be prescribed to those w/ such severe anxiety that the anxiety is so much worse than the drug side effects that they will likely never discontinue the drug. These are tossed out like candy and people have no idea how much they've screwed themselves.
Alot of those supplements will make someone crawl out their skin. The problem is the not GABA the GABA receptors have been down regulated and upregulation of Glutamate which those supplements will give you an excitory response extreme anxiety
Are you genuine I often wonder how people can take things like this knowing that gaba can get converted to glutamate which makes us even more agitated.
@@aphysique I'm 5 months off benzos and doing great. I have made almost a full recovery. I try to keep positive and have faith that my body and brain will heal. I found it is better to try and power through with life and not obssess over withdrawal symptoms all the time.
Hey brother I really appreciate your videos, but I would recommend staying off. Every time you go through a withdrawl it gets longer and more painful. It’s called kindling. I’d hate to see you go through it again and longer. The half life of klonopin is high it stays in your system for 4 days. So if your taking it twice a week you still run a very high risk or dependence.
THANK YOU for this video, I have been suffering from withdrawals for about a week now but it is by the far the worst thing I've ever experienced in my life. I'm in the process of getting a psychiatrist but for some reason, insurance does not mental health very easily accessible or affordable. When I found this video, I cried in relief, I feel like I have a start in the right direction and some help while waiting on my therapy appointment. Thank you Grayson for this, you are amazing, you are inspirational, you are warrior!
I am getting ready to go on this horrifying journey after 6 years of taking clonazepam. I got put on the benzos due to massive panic attacks after the death of my 6 week old daughter. Doctors said, "I don't foresee this being a longterm thing." Haha.. sorry for my sarcasm.. they know these damn pills are highly addictive and the addiction ends up overpowering the original anxiety issue. Double whammy.. feels like a trap. I am more determined than ever to dig myself out of the hole I was thrown in, unknowingly. Your video just gave me hope and a sense of encouragement.. THANK YOU! I took notes and plan to incorporate all of these extremely helpful tips into my journey of breaking free from benzos. I'm extremely happy for you! Congratulations on facing this massive battle head on and overcoming what was once consuming you. 👏🏻👊🏻💪🏽
@@charlaineguitar7399 I am 19 months today after 8 years on. This process is been extremely difficult for me. I did everything right in taper. I tapered for 4 years and rode it all the way down to 1 drop of Liquid pill. My suggestion is go to compounding pharmacy and use either Librium or diazepam. They have the longest half life. I am 19 months and I still have lasting symptoms. How ever I sleep a few hours a night now and no longer have to pray to Jesus to keep me going for another hour. It was beyond words in the beginning. Everyone is different so please do not let this scare you. I never in my life thought I would be off them and improving daily but it can happen. The important part is to keep going. Can you please make a list of supplements you took to help you. God bless you and thank you for sharing. I'm on my last straw and need help. I don't have family or friend support. I need all the help I can get. Please make a list, God bless you
Thank you Grayson! I do NOT think you told anybody to do anything. All you did was give your advice on what you did. I've already had extremely good luck with several of your recommendations. Much better than the three minutes my doctor gave me before he wrote out a prescription for Seroquel. He did not ask about exercise... diet... supplements. Just the hope you gave me in seeing that you survived was a great hope. I LOVED your video. So much better info than my doctors gave me. They never mentioned anything natural. I was already walking for hours. I was already eating plant based diet. I was already taking baths with epsom salts and lavendar. All you were doing is giving people suggestions. Screw the haters on here. There suggestions are fine, but there is NO reason for someone to rag about your suggestions. What works for some won't for others. And that was made clear. Experiment with what works for you, and if concerned consult with your doctor. Stay strong and GOD BLESS YOU for sharing your story! Helped save me!!
I'm super elated to hear that this video helped you. It sounds like youre doing all the right things to lead to a very successful recovery. Keep a positive attitude and the knowledge that you can win this in due time, and kick benzo withdrawals ass.
I fainted at Ralph’s Supermarket & totally blacked out landed on cement floor passed out 4 a few minutes! Then it took me 1hour to be able to get my throat to relax so I could breathe & get enough oxygen?
I agree with everything u said brother this is really good advice. All I would add is magnesium because it helps regulate gaba and ice cold showers/ice baths because they produce norepinephrine in your brain, which is a precursor to dopamine and it makes u feel a lot better in general
that i can testify against. cold showers is really powerful when it comes to withdrawing from benzos due to the reason you mentioned as well as it stimulates BDNF which improves neuroplasticity which helps repair the brain receptors. i took a bunch of supplements but im not sure enough about their efficacy to testify against their benefits. but the ice baths i can
I take both klonopin and neurontin and have been on neurontin for about 12 or 13 years, and benzos in general for about 23 years on and off but never was addicted. But for the past 2 years have been taking klonopin every day. I also take suboxone and have been on that for about 8 years now, maybe more. I see no way out and feel hopeless. About two weeks ago I was seriously wanting to kill myself because I ran out of my klonopin and was super low on my neurontin and was withdrawaling and must have had a panic attack or something. It felt like there were demons surrounding me that were trying with all there might to end me. It's a daily struggle for me to not want it all to end. On top of all this I am homeless. But I'm trying to save my Mooney to buy a van to convert and live in. I have 500 dollars saved and if I could just get that accomplished I feel it would give me so much relief to not live in a tent anymore. And if I get a van my goal is to start a landscaping business, but I just don't have anybody to ask to lend a helping hand. Anyway, I'm really happy to see your doing well and God bless.
Keep pushing through! You can conquer this battle.. I will keep you in my prayers. The journey may be long and it may be rocky but the end result will be more than worth it.. I keep telling myself the same thing. Stay strong!

Grayson, God bless you for being authentic about your struggles. I too have been on Benzodiazepine, specifically Valium. I have been taking it for 50 years. Before I tapered, I was already taking 70, 80, 90, even 100 MILLIGRAMS A DAY. After 2 years of STRUGGLE with the most iNSANE WITHDRAWAL SYMPTOMS, I have been successful in bringing it down to 7 mg. But it is where I seem to be stuck, meaning that when I go lower than 7, the symptoms that have gone away, RETURN. I have taken most of your recommended supplements. Like you, I plan to share my journey to wellness with as many people, when I am totally free. I don't need Valiums anymore. I want to know, between the walking and the strength training, which one helped you MORE? Also, is the reason for preferring HOT SHOWERS to cold ones due to the need of keeping your body hot? You mentioned that SWEATING is good for withdrawal. Again God bless you Grayson. God bless us all.
I just got my 1 St prescription for 20 day's and after knowing how I dicided to quit cold turkey i was not even on higher doses i was just pretty low but it is fucking me hard i am in worst possesion than before I met the doctor it's been 10 day's since I quit but it has been hell first few days i was able to have my shit together and hide it behind mask but not it is out of hand my Plus being ADHD pateint it is even harder to do
Word of warning on the garlic. You will smell a lot but it’s totally worth it. One more to add is potassium citrate. Lowered my blood pressure significantly when I was going through my phenibut taper.
Pure GABA doesn’t cross the blood-brain barrier. However, L-the ani e is a great supplement. I also strongly recommend raw valerian root as a sedative; I get it from eBay and make tea of it. It’s not the loveliest-smelling stuff, but it’s very effective. I used an heaping teaspoon of powdered valerian per 12 oz. boiling water.

And I did. Thank you!

Kratom , bad advice, can cause it’s own withdrawals.

Great advice! Thank you! Very impressive that you got yourself off these evil pills. Stay well. Your video has A LOT of views! 🙏👊💕
That is amazing, congrats om surviving.
So Kratom works for benzo withdrawl? I thought it was for opiate withdrawl. Thanks!!!
@@yourenough3 It can help but your CNS is very sensitive so very very low dosage and you'll want more of the calming like the Red Bali and Red Maeng Da. Good luck!

Is it not very addictive as well?
May I ask the brand and strength you used.

How long were you on benzos? No detox? No seizures?

U can still take hot baths to relax too tho, if u take cold showers in the morning and a hot bath closer to the evening it would be a perfect balance.
that i can testify against. cold showers is really powerful when it comes to withdrawing from benzos due to the reason you mentioned as well as it stimulates BDNF which improves neuroplasticity which helps repair the brain receptors. i took a bunch of supplements but im not sure enough about their efficacy to testify against their benefits. but the ice baths i can
Gabapentin causes withdrawal symptoms also, and that's a huge bottle.
I'm feeling like such crap right now.. I hope I can look back on this comment in 2 weeks and be able to say "I made it!!!"
What helped everyone the most for suicidal thoughts? I'm 5 months off in hell
Hot baths are a key to any withdrawal. They are really a important in recovery
dont you get stomach pain from taking all of that stuff. Especially when you most likely were not eating much food?
Kava, red kratom, good ganja and Valerian root all got me through my benzo withdrawal with minimum pain. First few days were still horrible tho
Mongo gojjo which dose were you on?

Pure GABA doesn’t cross the blood-brain barrier. However, L-the ani e is a great supplement. I also strongly recommend raw valerian root as a sedative; I get it from eBay and make tea of it. It’s not the loveliest-smelling stuff, but it’s very effective. I used an heaping teaspoon of powdered valerian per 12 oz. boiling water.
just take moringa powder..... very helpfull
Hey could you please give me a list of these supplements I'm tapering klonopin 2mg 31 years 🥺
Never seen a pill bottle that huge who prescribes patients that much Medication at one time
What did Gabapentin do for you? How much?
Why even bother asking any questions? This guy is long gone by now
This is so helpful! Thankyou
Thx for The advice, man!
Although to tell The truth, from my own experience, alcohol during the detox period was a very bad idea.
Gabapentin has its own withdrawal symptoms. Are you still taking it?
Hi did you continue with the supplements after you went off benzo? Did you have withdrawal symptoms stopping the supplements?
The L lethanine def helps excercise 1 millions of pcnt anyone going through withdrawal also look into Magnisum Chelate from Doctors Best it helps so much with anxiety and sleep I just cut from 2 to 2.5 mg Xanax to 1.5 mg to 1.75mg and am going through it still in dont kno if I will drop it any more for a few montsh I been getting extreme vertigo light headed and diZyness
That's great you could take all those supplements without having a severe reaction! It didn't work for me.
❤the supplements only help. That is why a long, slow taper is more gentle. Also, finding a prescriber wh will work with you. Best wishes.
