Option 2. I didn't realize I would like more control over the home, but I do! layout and use of the space (bathrooms!) was more to my liking with minor fixes. The kitchen, for one who cooks could've have more space, galley kitchen is not it. #3 was my 2nd choice, the kitchen, better except for the island-made things feel congested. The 2nd room was ackward, small.
They are all good by Nigeria standards, however I do not like that the entrance doors open directly into the living room. It means dirty trudged in all the time as there is no where to change shoes from outdoors to indoors. If you can live with that, then the 2nd option is probably the best, if one does not mind such a small kitchen.
It’s incredible that for $50,000.00, they don’t even have the sense to put a big window in the living room and dining area. Sad. Even the rooms have small slim window when it could have had big windows to bring in air and light.

Yes-o, you'd have the *free-dom* to install your own reliable*off-grid* system such as solar/wind, and problem solved against NEPA if they still go by that name since I was last there lol.
Hey guys! like seriously? are we really there already in Nigeria where we have our so-called luxurious houses so crowded and barely the size of match boxes just like it is in the downtown areas in America, Canada or the UK. It is a very dangerous zone to be: crowded high browse residential areas with practically no green spaces anywhere around makes so many who live abroad suffer from depression. I sincerely think that someone with a budget of $50K truly deserves better. will advise these quack builders and developers to try employ the services of good architects and environmental planners when next they want to build homes for people to live in. Bayo, the sizes of rooms, the Kitchen and living areas in these properties are too small, practically zero backyard space, compound can only barely contain the Cars, humans deserve better.
@andersonojoshimite6047 I can definitely show you a house here in America for 50,000. With green space, bigger rooms, and a basement. The location is what you are paying for my dear.
Thanks for showing us these affordable homes. I will contact you in early 2024 to help look for duplex in this price range. to use for Airb&b rental. I like the one with individua H2O tank.
Great content...apts 2 & 3 seemed more spacious and I liked the layout...my question is, are generators needed for primary power or backup only? Does NEPA service the estates? Ty as always for sharing...
The toilet windows are like bird houses. They prefer lots of block work that to build a quality small apartment. If it had big windows even in the toilet it won’t be that bad.
I would choose apartment 2 and add a few details to it to self customize. For me personally, i wouldn't choose any of them. The spaces were to small, duplexes mean sharing walls, no parking for you or company. Also, i agree with one of the viewers who made a statement about the tile used. Yuck, it's the same everywhere, hotels, houses, stores......anyway, good job with the content 🎉
Is the sink in that guest toilet on castor wheels whereby you can move the sink out and do your business and then wheel it back in? the toilet looks very tiny!
Lack of green space is a real concern for me, all the apartments looks choked up, the design of the living rooms are akward, a tall person is likely to catch his/her head on the stairs several times, the kitchen should be open plan, having an island in a tiny kitchen is ridiculous. There is bearly enough room for parking and maneuvering out of the compound, i can see major conflicts developing with nasty neighbours due to lack of parking space. Overall, need for a re-think, however you get what you pay for.
The whole of Lagos needs revamping. Way too crowded with less greenery. Also, why are they bringing America style of building to Africa? Is it because of greed? Build compact kind of Apartments/Homes for more, to gain more money.😅 Anyway, option 2 for, still not the best.
What's *service charge* ? Is that like HOA fees? Can one opt-out if handy and do their own maintenance or hire-out professional/top quality perfectionist pros?
I like option #2 because it has 3 bedrooms and the design is beautiful. What's the price for each of the property? Im interested in buying 3 bedrooms. Thanks.
They could have done an open plan living, dining and kitchen. No need for walls in the kitchen of all of the apartments. There will be air flow, natural light and esthetics will look better especially large windows. Poor designs.
CCTV in a living room, that’s awkward for me, if you don’t trust your nanny then don’t live your children with them, everybody running generator, that’s a no no for me. You’re doing a good job Bayo.

None of the above . The last one has a low fence with wire! They didn’t raise it up with rails for privacy. It’s poor designs. Hardly dining space. Better to up your budget and buy what you will be comfortable living in.
Nigerian developers keep building and the government or local government if it exist, don't build new hospitals, police station, clean water and basic necessary amenities as needed. Just building with no new infrastructure. Every where is generator, if you don't have money to buy petrol or diesel, fumes all over. Just to attract the diasporaian. Other African countries are much better for settlement than Nigeria with bad security. No safety and no proper government.
Correct. My Sister and her husband and kids just moved back to USA. Where they were living inside Gated community Lekki Phase2 Mobil Estate. HOA Is $300 A Month With Limited Power. They Cannot Bring Your Own Generator Or Full Solar System Inside The Estate. People Started Moving Out Of The Estate Including The Owners. My Sister And Her Husband Couldn't Take It Anymore. Yes. If You Already Have A Land In Nigeria, You Can Build A Nice Unattached Duplex If You Monitor The Building By Yourself On A Bigger Lot.
