I find it hilarious all these rock crawler and overlanders complaining about the Raptor steps. The Raptor steps are there to protect your truck from gravel sized rocks flying up and damaging your truck at high speed. If you use the truck for its intended purpose they work really great. I constantly hear Rocks flying up hitting them at high speed. That’s much better than the rocks hitting the body of the truck. If you are looking to Rock Crawl then get rock sliders…or better yet get a Jeep.
On road load capability vs off road capability catches so many out , Ronnie Dahl and Tyler Thompson had a similar situation with roof racks. People need to be so careful
I’m sure it does. But have not seen significant issues. If you worry about your paint, you may want to find something to protect it. I embrace the trail scars and off road pin striping. So, I’d put it in that category. “It’ll buff out.” 😊
I’m just as wide as a Raptor if not more 😂. My 2016 F-150 is on 20x14in wheels with -76 offset, wrapped in 33in M/T tires. Now this offset isn’t desirable in the overland community but tbh I’d didn’t start my build to be an overlander.
True- my brain was thinking “time is money.” Meaning, at the time I was in the market, how long would it have taken to get the parts? Plus labor, etc. I’m guessing it’s more like 10k
Nice to see a Raptor in its natural environment
Great build the Raptor is awesome!
I live that Raptor overland life too! 😅
Ford Raptors are bad ass!
May the force be with you Mike. We are headed east in a week so if we meet, I’m cooking dinner!!!
I eat A LOT sir 🤣
I wish I could get those awning brackets! I have the same problem on my rig.
Happy trails! We'll see you real soon on the trail!
For sure!
Route 66 doesn't go through anything but the Texas Panhandle. Sounds like a heck of a trip.
Yeah, the map is a little outdated- plans change quickly on the road :)
@@SocialPants I'm not "that guy". I just saw the sign and thought "that's not right". Super jealous btw. Have fun.
@@Okierover 😂 all good. I should have put an oil rig- oh well
Nice setup. Sounds like he put a lot of thought into it upfront.
I might have over thought it 🤣
@@SocialPants nah, nah, nah not at all. Then again I’ve been accused of over thinking things from time to time so perhaps I’m not the best judge. 🤔
Just did a weekend with a group. Two guys had them. I thought they would lumber... man was I wrong.
Nice rig! Way I'd set it up too.
Instead of standing just in the front and back , you guys should have shot some of the side view too. Wanted to appreciate the beauty of this machine
Yeah i was left wondering if there's space for passengers
The f150 tremor should be fun...hooking up my tremor ranger and f250 tremor

Enjoy the EXPO!
Looking forward to it
love this truck
I love the way you mount your awning I also need one set of those awning mounts, How can I get that? I checked his website and it does not list it.
That looks like a very nice rig! I look forward to seeing it out on some adventures!
Thank you 😊
Looooove this build…this weed business is moving too slow I need to upgrade to coke so I can get this truck and this build 🤜🏽🤛🏽💪🏽👍🏽
Hey Mike, if you stop in Kansas City, holler at me. It'd be my pleasure to meet up with you.
Yay!
I know, right? 😂

👍🏻
So beautiful 😍
Why did your leg kick up like that when you high fived lol
Did he have to relocate the intercooler for that bumper?
Nope!
Are the racks tubular steel? But one piece?
I do have a question on your tailgate bag, so is it rubbing the tailgate at all?
I’m sure it does. But have not seen significant issues. If you worry about your paint, you may want to find something to protect it. I embrace the trail scars and off road pin striping. So, I’d put it in that category. “It’ll buff out.” 😊
The thing that stuck out to me in this video is don’t buy modular this and don’t buy that… Hmm, So what I’m hearing is don’t buy the new Ford Bronco?
Why not just get 4”+ deaver springs?
is the first gen raptor as capable as this one ??

What tires did you go with and did you change from factory size?
They are KO2’s - same as factory.
Total build cost?
Yikes! I’m afraid to do that math. 😂 I’ll get back to you :)
@@SocialPants hey, money's already gone, no use crying over it, just help us all do the same mistakes 😅
The front bumper doesn't work with that truck in my opinion.
25k to get suspension on tundra.... lol huge exaggeration there

SocialPants makes sense. Plus a TRD Pro is like 60k and still not as capable as a Raptor
