@@TheGruntPerspective Yeah. Dude got after it though. Really fast reload times on the M32A1. He carried 6 in the gun and we cut up the issued grenadier belt and zip tied it to his PC. After that it was take the pack off, set it at his feet and pull rounds out of the bag. Usually not running and reloading that thing at the same time.
When I was a young PFC, I was the a gunner for the platoons 84mm. I was simontaniously the sole member of the gpmg team. I was also the only guy trained to use the breaching shotgun. Coy XO asked me where my rifle, which had the spare m203 attached, was before a patrol. Like fuck I was bringing it, or the MF tripod. He got told to stick it up his ass, as thats where I would need to put it to carry it.
My favourite grenadier scene is from Apocalypse Now…..the soldier comes out of his hooch and lobs a round at the Vietnamese soldier on the microphone 🎤……awesome Mike drop.
I prefer the M320 detached so so much more. I just do not like it attached to my rifle. Detached with the GLS optic it’s just a handy little tool. Plus you can just leave it at a post at say an ECP and no one has to go handing off their rifle. Minor detail but it’s something I’ve noticed. But I will say it is also super annoying to have it on just a loose sling. It just means you have the 320 just jangling and hitting your side. I really enjoyed the C-shaped or clamshell style holsters paired with a single point sling or with a bungee retention system dummy corded to the kit. A lot of the time I see guys running the issued style of 40mm belt they run it across their chest above their magazines. I personally hate things on top of my magazines but it’s what enables them to do their job best. It’s a sacrifice that they have to make (especially the poor guy with the Mk32). Speaking of, the poor guys carrying the Mk32, that thing is so inconvenient to stow and cumbersome. I’d carry an M320 any day over the Mk32.
M320 holsters exist. MK 32 with a bando belt works wonders, you can put it in a eagle map pack, it's fast and easy. Snap buttons are terrible for 40mm, you need buckels or velcro or both, snaps aren't easy to replace and it makes more noise then a buckel or silenced velcro. Or use bungee tops. You can put time stamps or tell people when the kit load out talk starts too.
Thanks for helping out airsofters like me man haha. Gear has evolved so much since I joined the Army in 05. I love finding better ways to shoot teenagers with a 6mm bb. I've had my doubts about these 12 shell belts.
Would love to see what you carry in your ifak! In the army I'm in, we have an issued ifak and a list of things all soldiers in the army have to carry in it, issued of course
Soon-to-be 2Lt here: When wearing your ruck, can you still clip the waist strap with the battle belt on? I’ve asked and Googled around and most guys do this: 1. Wear the battle belt with ruck but don’t use the waist strap and destroy their back 2. Take off their battle belt and secure it to their ruck while on the move.
When I’m wearing my ruck I can wear my belt if I absolutely need too. I try to not do that though. I prefer to take it off and secure it to the top of my pack so I can get it out quickly.
It's hard to do unless you have a really long torso. Try to wear your pack high and you should be able to get the waist belt above the battle belt. You might also want to attach some slim suspenders to the battle belt to keep it from being pushed down too much by the pack's belt, or you can use the belt and suspenders as a way to support your pack, like how the Brits do with their PLCE kit.
I have usually been able to get the waist strap on with the belt, by making sure to get it above said belt on my torso but below my PC. I have to be careful with this that my dangler pouch and the rifle mag on my left hip dont get in the way, but it works.
I see you got a gen 3 plate carrier (looks very similar or identical to the Army’s MSV or modular scalable vest, except the cummerbund has quick release buckles instead of first spear tubes) instead of your other plate carrier that’s in your other videos. :)
@@TheGruntPerspective I feel you. That’s unfortunate, well hopefully you find a way to make that plate carrier better or improved since issued or mil spec gear tends to be “meh.” I recall a Soldier who told me he eventually had to sell his shellback tactical plate carrier because plate carriers were frowned upon by his unit. Thus he had to use his issued IOTV (way worse, bulky, and more uncomfortable).
these videos are sick , all the social media sof hype and its almost like people have forgotten that conventional is cool too after a 20 year sof led war
Yes, I wouldn’t trade the years I’ve spent in the infantry for any other job. You’ll only have the opportunity to do it now while you’re young and strong, so go get after it!
Im a corporal , you don’t think it’s to late for me , I won’t be as efficient as marines that have been doing it since day one , I’d be playing catch-up for awhile , and as a NCO you know the expectations are higher
Bandoliers! And if your slinging a 320 you do it cross body to the weak side and use retention on that side.. otherwise you’re gonna be a tangled mess trying to shoulder and or retain your rifle to get over shit.. if your airborne your lanyard will work as your retention strap just fine you have to just experiment with it to figure out how to make it work.. but it’s better then adding shit when you already have something that works on you..

Had a guy in my platoon who carried an M32A1, M16A4, and an M9. Guy was 5’4”.
Assault pack full of HEDP.
God bless
