Fun fact: A single Kikazaru w/ 20% (72% reduction) is really all you need to counter Soul Mantle early/mid game. Curse effect under ~30% on you is barely noticeable. Late game though, the main issue is for those who want to use Coward's Legacy because of its 50% increased curse effect on you. Hence the use of Viridi's Veil and, more recently, Sublime Vision (Zealotry).

As most Hiero spell totem builds are also mana stackers, reservation efficiency is not really useful, so there aren't really much better helms than Viridi's. On the same token, Sublime Vision takes care of it in 1 jewel total. Yes you can only have 1 aura, but mana stackers will only play one aura and you can get up to 40% aura effect for it. In the old days, before they massively nerfed minions, Viridi's had another use--it was great for the AG setup due to the +2 to socketed gems.
Yeah, you basically talking about Ice spear, i know and played that build. In this setup is just nearly ruin to put coward's legacy instead of Omni belt

I was there, he spent like 2-3 mirrors to roll those gloves. Maybe 300 annuls too, it was madness. All of this because he refused to spend 3 divs to buy frac suppress.
The reason the old build (pizza sticks) did so much damage was because back pre 3.0 double dipping was applying with fire damage affecting the hit as well as the ignite that flameblast would apply.. leading to crazy high very easy to get damage
I’m currently a level 51 I’m trying to copy your ivory tower build but I screwed up somewhere because even at my current level I cannot sustain righteous fire the DJ and still gets to me

Looks very nice, and the cluster jewel is good tech. I thought about running a similar setup with shockwave totems, but was never sure how to actually build this. (Omni is nice, but so is leaderships price, but then again cold conversion with heatshiver is OP, etc.) Maybe it will still be strong next league, as I always enjoy totem characters (especially early on while you're spending more time looting).

You can get 20-25% reduced Effect of Curses on you as a corrupted implicit on Jewels. It's a fairly easy and cheap way of capping that stat.
Unless I missed one, the only way he could fit that in is hitting on one of his clusters. The rest were already corrupt uniques…?

you can very easily get >40% curse reduction on just one jewel, so i think you can probably avoid viridi's veil even with coward's legacy

Iirc it was around the time of the aoe nerfs, possibly the double dipping dot change when flameblast fell off.
