XS650 The Big Bore Part 15(Jug & Piston prep for installation)

I make sure jugs are clean, install cam chain guide, orings on cylinders, inside wrist pin retainer clips. Lube piston rings and install piston in cylinders.
top end upgrade to 80mm big bore making it a 750cc

Hey man, I’m doing a similar build.. and want to go with 80mm pistons.. to make my xs a 750.. Is it safe to punch the cylinders that big with the stock cylinders? I would appreciate any tips.. thanks man!

I don't think it will be good to bore stock cylinders. That being said I could be wrong. if you go to this link www.650central.com/ or call 209-533-4346 them and ask they will know for sure. You can also get the info at www.xs650.com/ and post any questions you need answered. That is where I learned.

@@nightflyer12345 I'm having a discrepancy on the mating of the crankcase on this big bore kit. It's kind of difficult to explain which is why I was hoping we could just chat real quick but I'm thinking that the bore for the front locating pin on the cylinder itself was not cut quite deep enough and it's binding.
