- Cascade Retreat is a modern minimalist house, thoughtfully designed to blend architecture with nature. Nestled into the rugged side of a cliff and situated next to a cascading waterfall, the home takes full advantage of its unique location. The structure is cantilevered over the cliff edge, offering stunning views of the surrounding landscape, while the interior seamlessly incorporates natural rock from the cliff, creating a harmonious connection between the home and its environment. This integration of raw, earthy elements with clean, contemporary lines enhances the minimalist aesthetic, adding texture and grounding the design. Each room is carefully oriented to capture the most beautiful views, ensuring that nature remains the focal point. Thank you everyone for all the views and likes. I honestly didn't think the video would get this much attention as I'm not really a content creator but just like sharing clips of my gameplay with my friends. You've all inspired me to continue building and creating new builds to show you all. much love
Structure wise is marvelous and very creative, but lemme point out a couple flaws on distribution. When you enter a house like this, theres no sudden living room with TV and couches, there should be a hall. Party area outsides should be next or close to kitchen. And PC doesnt belong on bedroom, it should be on a separate work room

Gonna be honest i know probably you dont want all people have this, but a video explaning how to make this house and here is this place on the game will launch you even more. amazing work
i dont mind if others want to try and replicate my builds but it would be difficult to make a step by step build guide for this specific build cause i designed it to work specifically for this cliff edge. i'd have to tear down the house and rebuild it to be able to record the process which im not sure i am up for.

I actually tried to replicate this based on just observation...and so far, it looks good...but since i dont want to spend real money in the game, I had to improvise. Thank you for this amazing masterpiece. Hopefully I could share my work to you.

@@danteslick2843 thank you! The sauna was probably the most difficult part of this build trying to get the tiles to line up the way I wanted to show only half the width of the small ceiling squares to look like benches

I built my first house using basic wooden materials with a design like yours in mind, except it didn't have any doors and roof yet. Luckily I found a great spot on a cliff to the south-east with fantastic view also.
not an architect but worked in structural engineering, so somewhat related. nice! i remember my first house in the closed betas was pretty much a wooden box with a door haha

Build tutorials would be amazing to have
yea ill probably make some tutorials just dont know what kind of format i should do yet. full build tutorials or splitting them into showing various kitchen/living area/bar/patio/garage builds so that people could just piece them/incorporate them into their own builds. deadlock has also been a big distraction from making more OH builds >.>

that smoke bomb sauna is chokingly good haha. very well designed house and i like the fact that you built around the environment and made the Cliff part of the house, it's really cool.
Unfortunately Once Human is the kind of game that does not cater to this kind of house buildings, and the building mechanics of OH is abysmally bad, it is so clunky. but if you are able to make it work, like what you did here it is beautiful. Once Human wants you to have a base and not have a base at the same time, if you know what i mean? like you must relocate as part of the gameplay, if you don't move and stick around in the same place you are punished for it resource wise and EL. I mean if this base is not built in Eternaland, you're gonna have a hard time playing the game, and with a Cliff side location (not on a simple flat surface), moving this house is gonna be a Nightmare.
i really hope OH expands on the House Building Mechanics, like refine it way better than how it is right now. We should have 2 houses. One a central base which you can built however you want and where ever you want, like your house here, then we should have another Outpost House where we use that to move around and get resources. I don't count the Truck to be a mobile Home lol the Truck is basically a Prop in Blackfell waiting to be rammed out into a tree of Oblivion. its just an Over Glorified Vending Machine Standee... terrible LOL
but I digress, what you built here is beautiful, well done! XD
i actually dont care to move my base for gameplay advantages. i just pick scenic spots to build. the game itself is easy enough that i dont need to make sure im built over an oil field or in a contaminated zone. they actually used to allow you to have a separate shared base for hive and another for personal home back in cbt2 but they changed it to what it is now since cbt3. but yea i hope they do expand more on the building aspect and increase the structural/decoration limits so that there is more creative freedom in the actual game and not just in eternaland.

Building this on a normal map is impossible (bugs, overlaps etc) but house near waterfall 10/10

a tutorial for this exact build would be difficult as this house was custom designed for this specific rock wall/cliff. i may make a series of videos showing how to build different aspects of the house though

How did you do the hanging fairy lights in the backyard like that? Don't they normally have to be attached to a wall?
This build is in eternaland so you can float things there and get a little more creative. For a similar effect in be normal game mode you'd have to setup columns (recommend the glass print column cause it's very thin) and attach the lights to it so that you still get the hanging effect
These houses are so beautiful...only to be left behind at seasons end. Makes me very sad.

hello thank you :3 the computer decoration can be looted from containers for free. but it is random drop to get the blue print, I'd recommend looting all the cabinets/containers/trashbins in blackfell area

its unlikely i'll be doing a build video for this particular build because it is very much custom built into the is cliff edge/rock wall that for me to redo this build i'd have to tear it down and built it back into the same spot. in the future I will probably just record my build process on new builds so that I could showcase the speed build part along with the finished result.

the long sofas can be clipped from the left side. so you want to connect the right side of a couch to the left side of one that is already placed down.

I play on NA pve01 x07 currently but this was built in eternaland. What pieces have u not seen before?
@@Dooby530 Lamps on the 2nd floor, vase, computer, -I guess the oval mirror is from bedroom pack, and that low furniture among the closets too.. I havent found that industrial (cupboard? table? low closet?) thing that you use for bar and bathroom, and when you go down to the kitchen, I get confused. I saw the new fridge skin but its grey metallic. What is yours? And the thin wall next to it, what is it from? It looks thicker and has black edge, when wood has brown, stone has grey tile, and cement has white. So wtf?
I have found 9 wall paints, but not your colors. I LOVE that deep green and the black stone-maroon dye composite.
The one I have is black stone-green (not even dark green) so I mostly use the stone paint that came with the terrace pack. Same for ceiling paint. I'd say you use the default stone tile underside, but it shines too much at times. You have both types of shelves whereas I found none.
Also I never seen the office chairs near the piano. I have 3 types but not that.
Lastly, although I have tried, I cant merge the sofas like that. I saw your comment and tried again from right to left, but they dont mix.
I know you are in E-land, I have base at the same spot
And just saying it for all to understand the work you have put in this, the floors are double layered and stairs adjusted, also the rock wall doesnt follow a shape yet you aligned floors and wall endings perfectly.
It's a lot more work than it looks at 1st glance!
@@gavarron-gaming lamp is from the cat bedroom bundle, not sure which vase you're referring to but its either from the flower bundle or from the free drops. the computer, chairs are from free drops as well. my fridge is 2 normal free fridges facing each other to look like a double door fridge. the wall edge is capped with a column with the glass print skin. i am using default unpainted stone ceiling for all of the ceilings. merging sofas. you want to merge the right side of a sofa to the left side of one that is already played. this works regardless of it being in eternaland or not. the only thing in this build that wouldn't be possible outside of eternaland is the hanging string lights.
@@gavarron-gaming thank you for noticing! it really was not easy to try and get everything to be seamlessly blended in with the rock wall while not having a ton of cracks in the walls/floors/ceilings from using small ceiling tiles that tends to misalign everything. there are still a few cracks around the house but I tried my best to keep them a minimum

hmm i dunno how i'd do a tutorial for this. because this house was specifically designed to blend in with the cliff wall that I built into. feel free to ask questions in my discord post where I have screenshots of the place I could try and answer any question you have on how to build something similar. link is in the description
that house design was literally based on the spot and the cliff where he is located. So copying it 1:1 will be very very hard and he also designed it in Eternaland so normal game physics does not apply to this. You won't be able to replicate this 100% in normal game servers. Which sucks and I also don't get why more and more designers keeps doing this type of shit. I get that you can go over more creative in Eternaland but if we are not able to replicate and use the base in game, then it's pointless.
its nice and all but what happens if you want to do purification defense?? its pretty but has no practical function
this is built in eternaland and is meant to be a home away from home. purely for relaxing. also generally my builds in game don't differ much from this. purifications are so easy that I generally do not build anything specifically for it. when I need to do purifications I just put the purifier in a box with 0 turrets and they are easily done solo.

I am new to the game and I was wondering if tis will all be wiped? Beautiful.
this house was built in eternaland so it wouldnt get wiped but even if you built ur base/house in the normal game mode, it would get wiped but your blueprint would be saved so u could just place it back down in the new season. your time spent on building/designing wouldn't be put to waste
I am so hestitated to buy the glass wall pack, should I buy it? It's so expensive and I don't know if I would waste it.
it is quite expensive. its really nice to have but isn't required to build something nice. you do need it if you want to build modern luxury style homes though. I was actually ready to quit the game a month or so ago because I couldn't afford to buy the glass pack but someone had gifted it to me,

@@agusteurasan 1 TV is just a picture frame with a black photo. The other tv is actually just some tiny black wall spices to mimic the look of a tv

On en fait de belle chose quand on achète sur la boutique !! Ca serait mieux si vous faites des constructions que tous le monde pourrait faire sans être obliger d'acheter la moitié des éléments sur la boutique du jeu !!
i didnt build this with the mindset for someone to replicate it. ill look into designing a free to play build so that people can come copy the blueprint in the future when I have time.

This build is in eternaland so you don't need the ceiling walls for that. in the normal game mode, you'd need the ceiling walls but I'm not a fan of them cause it looks too bulky so I omitted them here since I have the option to.

yes this build is done in eternaland but i still built within the 3 panel support limits. the only thing that is floating in this build is the string lights on the rooftop patio

howd you get to build your base on the side of a cliff?
this is eternaland so it is a little easier but in game you would have to search for a spot on the cliff that would let you put down some foundation and then build from that.

the long sofa's can be clipped from the left side. so your sofa sets should be built from right to left. i hope that helps. the only thing u cant do in game that is done in this build is the fairy lights (string lights) because they're floating instead of being attached to a column

im sure your house is already amazing! but its never a bad idea to tear down and rebuild to experiment with more ideas and different build styles. I generally go through several builds throughout a season.
