Keep in mind you can also use a Sentinel to pre-buff things like Power Charges for something like a Maven invitation. Pop it to get the buff, but before releasing :)
I was on vacation and just league started this week. This was exactly the video I was looking for. Just a overview of the sentinel mechanics and interactions, not those "this is the best sentinel strat to get rich" videos. Thanks for that. =}
I've been playing LS Champion. After all the nerfs I feel pretty safe in T16 with super juiced red+blue sentinels. I usually pop red at the first pack, and blue on top when I find a chest or something of that sort. Long as I don't hit something with projectiles or storm herald, it's usually fine. Just have to avoid Ele reflect and no leech maps. I think stalker beams are pretty bait though. I'm up to a bit over 4 mil dps and even without those passive for more stalker beams it is more than fast enough. The extra beam and chain on blue though is massive. I hit mobs 2-3 screens away.
To my understanding when u slam with a core it has a chance to take mods from either side, so if your taking two blues with the same single mod it will power that single mod… thus is why the blues are still important (when u can find the ones with ideal mod). It drives deterministic towards what u want when u find them. I didn’t figure this out by the way…. It was on a few vids and it made sense and seems to be the case when I have done it. When you put indifferent mods In and also multi mods…. You’re effectively diving the chance at the one u want. I imagine the really good ones later on might not be on the blues or as often or as high.
How the point system works? No streamer is talking about the mechanic behind sentinel points levelling. I mean like I know how long it will take to reach next level of my character is there a way to figure how to get to the next level of sentinel? Also what are those small boxes at the very top few of which are blue and rest black?
You get point progress by killing empowered enemies. You can see at the very top how much progress you have till your next point. Black is still locked, light blue are unused points en darker blue are used points. Hopefully this gives you more insight
Any build suggestion? Because i am playing EA Ballista right now and i got to maps and so far it is not working well for me. I have tabula, dyadian belt, storm cloud bow etc. I am level 71 but it doesnt feel right. Squiishy af ! Died like 143 times over the course of campaign. Just got to maps I never died that much, NEVER. So i am looking to turns things around with a new build that can handle those new archnemesis mods and sentinels buffs? Thank you exiles
Random question, but I noticed your loot filter and was wondering why mine just… won’t work? I was using it in standard, updated the game and loaded into league after the queue, and it doesn’t work but it’s showing up.
If you're having the same issue I did - they have done some updates. If you go to Filterblade and LOAD it manually, it'll update it for you, and then you can re-save it.
And also the ability to save passive trees and gear sets ingame even if you screw it up. So instead of making regrets useless use them to respect then overwrite the already saved passive tree you screwed up and save it's layout again.
@@Jay-ru3hx Agreed. I was really surprised at the difficulty of the rares, and I liked it! POE was like a new game for me. Then people cried, and while it's still harder than previous leagues, it's probably more reasonable now.
even after some minor nerfs I still cant do most metamorphs or essence mods, i mean sometimes they die quick but at least 1 out of 3 maps i just cant kill the essence mods. Like im not even kidding when I say my build is just farming UE and Maven with ease, but yet i come across rare mods that are basically unkillable, and its just not fun. Bosses in all the maps are just normal, so you can just rush the boss start and that seems to be working quite well. If you just ignore most rares and blue packs, the game is fine
@@Rawlingm I get it. I do. I guess I've played POE long enough that the game gets boring with the lack of needing to make decisions or take precaution with regards to regular mobs. Why can't they add a special Kirac questline seperate from the endgame missions so you don't have to redo the campaign over and over when you complete it once with a new character?? I always wondered why they don't implement an adventure mode akin to D3.

Anything that "kills for you", minions, herald/chain reaction/explode are really bad for blue, as it's off-screen/explodes packs before triggering the blue sentinels. Haven't watched past the part about Sentinel containing depth, and wanted to share my initial thoughts: Sentinel League is boring. The entire league mechanic can be reduced to pressing a button to increase your RNG and difficulty. It's not fun. It's just another button to press mindlessly while blasting through maps. The visual experience is basically a coloured particle effect overtop affected mobs.

Question: If you want challenge, why build from a build-guide? Lets take it a step further, why release build guides? There should be a balance, where the guys that build their own builds do not want to rage quit, and the guys that build from guides can do everything in the game with complete inefficiency. Problem lies in the fact that GGG assumes 1% should be able to do everything, then when more people play the same 1% builds, suddenly the 1% target is overshot and GGG increase difficulty. If they want the game to be difficult, do not do wide spread nerfs or widespread enemy buffs. This way the game can see diversity, making old content actually useful instead of dated.
Okay, fair point, but what about the fact that this completely destroys some content? Some mobs teleport off the line in blight content. Invulnerability actually destroys blight too. How's it more difficult to just make mobs immortal? Difficulty should enhance the experience, not destroy it.
@@vanyel_etc8695 i can agree with invulnerable in blight sounds unfair af. Lol. I haven't really ran into much trouble since hitting maps but the first few acts were maybe a little too spicy. Don't worry though apparently ggg is gonna keep nerfing until ppl are hapoy.

I just started the league and ive got them from sentinel chests almost every time. Other than that no clue.
