I have a dct 18 M4 and have owned both manual as well. You can get a lot more emotion out of either car simple by some cheap upgrades. You can do a Bootmod tune with the gts transission, catless downpipes and and a nice midpipe from active autowerks really make these cars sound great. The manual transmission is okay but always feels rubbery and not as satisfying to drive without doing some mods there as well.
I have just bought this car under the same considerations you mention on the video, I’ve bought a 2017 M3 Competition Manual with 4300 miles! Definitely whoever can get one of this ones please close that deal ASAP! ( off coarse make sure it is in good conditions)

I am a bit disappointed in the G80, no manual handbrake, the center console totally designed for an automatic layout, no optioning out for competition or x-drive. It like BMW wants the sales number to be low on a G80 manual, so they have a reason to discontinue it in the next generation. If I had the extra cash in my pocket, would opt out for a 992 Porsche Carrera S - Manual, I read and video reviews, that that manual gear box is a dream. I hope to own one second handed one day.

You’ve good taste. ‘18 M3 is what I got and it’s perfect. CF roof, 19” wheels, DCT, HK sound, that’s it. Cloth seats. Black. Can’t stand the grill, digital gauges and slush box on new cars.
The torque down low doesn’t feel Na. I had the m4 gts and m4 comp. The g82 comp x drive is way better. I rather have that then a 992 turbo. All it needs is a tune and upgraded exhaust system, intake and coil overs then it’s Perfect

Love my 2018 F80 (LCI) in Mineral White Metallic, Sonoma Beige seats, fine line anthracite wood trim, DCT and Moonroof!

The F80 has nothing performance wise to a G80. The rest is up to personal taste.
