to you think the Dwarf runner is really worth it? Same characteristics as a human lineman and 25k more to get sure hands, thick skull and Loner. I wouldnt expect to use him as my primary ball carrier
Just started running these guys on Fumbbl to get a bit of practice and I am loving them! I was just about to request you do these guys next on your UW vid and am glad to see you already did it! Thanks for all the great content. Even if we largely can't play 2020 rules atm, it's fun to do a lot of the theorycrafting now.
I've tried Pro in one tournament, and it was OK, then Block in a different tourney. Overall I found Block better as it reduced the tree getting knocked down on either turn.
It occurs to me that fumblerooskie skill is a way to work around the animosity trait, but loner means that you don't want to use dwarves as ball carriers anyways.
Doesn't really make sence, it's not like the team was going to be better than either vanilla dwarfs or humans even with block/tackle on the dwarf blockers :/
Yeah, these Dwarf Blockers are really overpriced when compared to their vanilla cousins. They should really have been 5k or 10k cheaper to make up for it. That or make vanilla Dwarfs like these guys, and so give them more options for levelling.
Limit dwarfs to 4 or 6 blockers (in either case, not a huge impact on dwarfs). New cheap 0-12 player dwarf lineman with mv5, brawler and armbar (60k?).
Looking forward to running this team once I have them painted. The second team im most excited to run this year after the Necro Horrors. Also I have run the treeman in my Woodelf team and it had gaurd. I got a win against dwarves with it. Very handy player.
I'm not convinced these guys got better in 2020 - any gains from losing Loner on the halflings and gaining a treeman are offset by the massive nerf to the dwarf blockers - Armbar in place of Tackle is garbage, and Brawler in place of Block is a massive downgrade when their job is to stand at the front and get punched. I had a really horrible first 2020 game with this guys! Dead catcher, injured lineman...
I'd argue they're still a better team overall than before. Loner going to 3+ makes a difference, and Armbar, while bad, synergizes with Tackle as your first or second skill on them.
I'm kind of liking brawler as a skill, I do think armbar is garbage though. I feel like brawler and tackle would have worked. May not be as good as block but it's a free reroll. Armbar tempts me to go for tackle to get most out of it, but these guys really should be going for guard first
@@timratcliffe9018 Yeah it's a tough decision for me. Plus they're likely to level up quite slowly so there's no telling when/if they'll get a second skill. I'm going to try them out, but I'm not completely convinced the reworked Blockers are better than linemen for the price difference

This fellowship is missing a Legolas. Previous Old World rosters permitted an elf or two to a line-up. +AG on a human Lineman could be a thing.

Why don't save 12 SPP to get pro with the treeman? I faced one on my last league and it was a pain in my *SS.

I think you're correct, either the loner or block->brawler downgrade would have been enough. They're quite underwhelming now

The dream forever League without 90% bashteams 😅. I do like owa but, the key players will be slaughtered for sure.
