    Its the world we live in boys ,thats what makes Dealer support and service such a critical aspect of deciding which brand to go with . That Massey warranty is a real factor to consider .
    Thanks Brock

    Thanks for the video. 2 years ago I bought a new 2860e and am very happy with it. I looked at Deere and Kubota but the Massey has more features for less money. I have had zero problems and I have a good dealer which is very important. I agree there are a lot of good tractors out there so it may come down to what dealers you live near.

    I have 2 M-F tractors; A 1959 M-F 50 gasser, & a 2018 M-F 1526 diesel these 2 tractors are decades apart, But have several things in common; Reliable, Dependable, & a great parts network thru AGCO; As well as a after market. Thanks for the review on some of the offerings from Massey-Ferguson.

    Your right, really does come down to preference. They are all great and would do the job. Love that warranty. For residential buyers, it is a big step up in peace of mind.

    That 50 horse massey has a nice 3pt. It has extendable lift arms but also has 2 different sized balls so you can run 2 different categories of 3pt attachments without bushings. You can see it at 9:45 during the video.

    Little Massey GC tractors are made in Japan and are high quality. Made by Iseki. I have a 25 year old Iseki front end mower, an Iseki SF333 which is rated at 33HP. It’s a good machine. The engine always starts. It has 3500 hours on it. So if you buy one of these tractors expect many years of use out of it.

    I love my GC1723e. I agree that everyone seems to be making good tractors. I bought MF because of the local dealer.

    I really like Massey Ferguson tractors. I had a gc2300 and I’m Impressed with it I had it for 15 years and it never had a problem. MF has a 1500 and a 1600 series I would like to know more about. You never hear much or see many of them around but their size range looks fantastic. The particular size for me would be the 1500 I’ve seen a few but not many and it is an ideal size for small farms and landscapers.

    I like that Massey seems to have spent $10 to put a proper set of trailering tie-downs on their tractors so the owner doesn't have to spend $100 to buy a set in the after market.

    Hey Brock, you sure "looked good" sitting in that 2850m Massey-Ferguson. They are "not cramped" in the cab.... the "Tilt-Stearing wheel" was ALL the Way Down. This should BE your Next Tractor.

    I've had a MF 1835M for 2 years and it's been fantastic. I have done quite a variety of work and put almost 500 hours on it now. The Max Speed knob has come in handy when you're on rough ground and want to maintain a consistent speed. You can put your foot pedal all the way down and adjust your max speed on the fly by hand. I like it more than I thought I would.

      I have the 1835m shuttle shift. It's 3yr old. I have found it's a very strong tractor with auxiliary weight. I wish I'd gotten 3rd function and rear remotes though. Why are after market upgrades so hard to find for the newer masses?

    • @miatch085
      @miatch085 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @cwhedger I had my dealer install both a third function and rear remote. Grapple on the front and I run a hydraulic top link using the rear remote. Glad to hear you got the shuttle shift. I have HST which is great except you can't go up hills fast. I'm curious how the shuttle shift compares on hills.

    • @miatch085
      @miatch085 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @cwhedger As for after market parts. I have found people don't always offer stuff specifically for MF. Always John Deere and Kubota though. I think it's just popularity. Hopefully you have a good dealer. Mine is Kiperts out here in Western WA and they've been good so far.

    just rebranded iseki nothing american about it

    • @RockhillfarmYT
      @RockhillfarmYT  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +6

      You’re making a true statement and putting a negative connotation on it that I don’t believe belongs there
      There is nothing American about any compact Tractor.
      Not a single one from any brand
      Iseki has been making these Massey tractors for a very long time. Iseki is Japanese and it’s where most of the best tractors in the world come from.
      All throughout the Tractor market, you see rebranded models from one company being sold as the other company. I could give a dozen examples. At least with Massey you know that they’ve been Issei for a very long time.
      They’re only a couple that completely make their tractors in house. Of those, Kabota and Yanmar are Japanese, and Kioti Tractor is South Korean.
      All of the equipment is John Deere by John Deere buys the components for my tractor manufactures all over the world

    • @windzer
      @windzer 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@RockhillfarmYT you presented it as theyve been around forever and they are a legacy brand and been making compact equipment here in the states forever and they havent made anything sub 60hp for a long time because theyve been partnered with iseki for so long the closest thing we have to an american made tractor are deere but they still use yanmar motors which are fine but what pisses me off i keep seeing more and more parts labeled made in china on the deere stuff like their castings so thats why i own a kubota l3901 atleast they make all their stuff its a better tractor anyway than the deere equivalent never said i didnt like japanese stuff

    • @RockhillfarmYT
      @RockhillfarmYT  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @@windzer I would disagree on the statement that the closest thing we have to American made is Deere. What is that based on? I don’t believe that to be true at all.
      John Deere tractors are assembled in America, but so are 75% of the other brands. John Deere does not build their own axles. It’s a Yanmar axle. The loaders are made in Mexico. On and on.
      I’ve covered this topic in depth in previous videos, and didn’t want to rehash it for every single time I talk about a tractor
      What I said, in the beginning is that it’s a legacy brand. Kind of like John Deere. And then I started into what their tractors are today.
      I don’t believe I implied that there was a connection to the tractors they made 50 years ago, and I definitely did not say they were American made.

    • @windzer
      @windzer 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@RockhillfarmYT that's why I said deeres the closest atlesst they are doing more than just slapping the rops and tires on a tractor like these other manufacturers that ship them here in a container. before long kubota will be more American than anyone else if they aren't already think they just bought another plant down south to build more here.

    • @douglasjackson1998
      @douglasjackson1998 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      There is nothing American about my green John Deere. Except part of the engineering of it, and the supply chain that still supports it after all these years. It was built by Yanmar in Japan.
      There's a program on TV, maybe the History Channel, showing them loading RO-RO (Roll-On, Roll-Off) ships with John Deere tractors in Germany. The supply chains for these Multi-National Corporations (MNC's) are... ... global.
