I don’t like portless for the same reason I don’t like cars that are ONLY electric because I have bad luck. Had it my entire life. Someone with a gas container or usb will always be around. A charging station or MagSafe not so much. Not a problem if you’re a normal person but I like to live on the edge, “I could stop now…or I can try and make it home on E” worst case, you gotta walk a few mins to a gas station. A Tesla, you’re calling a tow truck and out of commission until the morning and a couple hundred dollars lighter
Recovery guys have chargers in their vans now. You won’t need a tow if you run out of power in your EV which is cool. 👍🏻
Well not you anyway coz you don’t want an EV, but you get when I mean 😂
@@TalentedTom91 cool, didn’t know that, thx. Just curious, if you know an estimated time off hand. Say I’m 15 miles from my house, how long would those portable chargers to get enough charge to make it home?
@@trumpdrago517 oh yeah they’re really slow chargers but with time they’ll get faster. It’s only meant for the journey you described/to the nearest charger. The AA say on their website that they can charge 6.2 miles in 20-25 mins on their current gen mobile chargers.
@@TalentedTom91 that’s actually not too bad. Ok I’m sold, if I’m ever in the position to get a Tesla as a 3rd car I’ll buy one.i also think I’d get anxiety if my battery is lower than 80%. I’m ridiculous “what if zombies are coming and my car isn’t charged?” 😂

I was always that person that updated for the camera alone lol! In recent years, I got away from that as the camera changes were negligible.

Apple should make a big mechanical keypad like the keychron, the old Apple extended keyboard was great for fans of mechanical keyboards. But hey I have two keychrons and Logitech Mx master mice for me and my wife. Apple stuff is too minimal sometimes

USB-A can join the other obsolete connectors in the connector retirement complex. It was the king in its day but USB-C is better in every way.
The thing I'd worry about with ever thinner is resistance to screen cracking flex.
Get all you need to know about the iPhone 18 16 out next week. And a year from now the 17. But let’s talk about the 18.
The perfect combination for what I need would be a Mac Mini 4 Pro and an iPad with a keyboard that worked with both.
I don't get the obsession with thinness. What matters is functionality, camera capability, battery life, etc.

Magic Mind... WAY TOO EXPENSIVE
If iPhone 17 slim becomes true I bet within a week Apple will have another bend gate fiasco, no for me thanks I keep my phones for at least 6 years so an ultra slim model wouldn’t last that long in my opinion so no no no.

This makes zero sense. A phone that will be priced higher than the Pro models and rumors are that they will be spec'ed lower than the Pro models. Of course the battery will also suffer. I am in the camp this is going to be a Fold, and not a thin slab. It makes more sense for them to go that direction than cannibalize their current slab style phone market. And if that is their latest innovation, make a slim slab, instead of doing something truly new, then people are going to be saying "Just wait for the 18. That will be the cool one". Maybe Apple should be using their AI to design them a new phone. Buying them for the powerful chipset, is not a talking point anymore. The only reason they put these crazy chips in their devices is so that they will hold up years later. The user experience, although smooth, is significantly slower "feeling" in comparison to Android devices. Despite Apples Paper dominance. They need to do something though because what was trendy for now a decade, is coming to an end with this new generation wanting something New. I wish them luck. Still in the Fold camp though, I don't see a thin slab in the cards.
Maybe create a powerbank that is wireless and charges your portless iPhone by USB
