Right at the end...right at the end, at around 16:16 when the volume sinks slowly...and then it bangs right back in. That was me with a house full of messy headed friends back in the day, and in that quiet bit I gave the volume full twist to "this one goes to 11" and when it BANGED back in I swear they all thought that was the end of the world. I felt like a God!
My head keeps getting blown off by all these tracks. This is utter insanity 😍💣I’m out running in the dark (stopped to type of course) and it feels like I’m about to take off and run away into space 🛸
there's a recipe to these tracksif you try mixing them you will see that some of the sounds that are base are going to be trouble or percussions in another track but they all have the same layout and there's all these Progressive house tracks and Progressive trance and s***. it is absolutely amazing
I remember walking to the beach sometime in the 1990s with this tune playing away in the forest at 2:00 PM while the free rave I happened onto was in full swing!
a 90's kid?? LOL!!!! this music is for the 60's and 70's era kiddo. Back when this was all new in 1992-95 the the club crowd was mature age and 99% of the patrons were 25-40 years old... back then a club was a CLUB... now theyre all just nightspots with ZERO club mentality where you saw the same faces each week :( But totally agree- all the tunes back then were handmade and many still out last todays auto sequenced and generated bassline and melody shit!
i was a 90's kid and listened to this type of stuff. it was hard to find. mostly college radio played it. but you guys got to experience it at clubs. you're so f*cking lucky.
+Kristi you must be American then? CLUBS (not just general nightspots) were HUGE back then in Australia and Europe when this was all new. A REAL weekly party with like minded people who sought the same. Drugs and drinks were good too (but that was the same even with hippies in the 60's). It was GREAT to see the same strangers every week filling the club for the night at hand and getting to know them, the DJ's styles and songs. Now MOST places you go the patrons would never have heard 90% of the songs before and will never hear 90% of them again because there's no vibe to get to know. Sasha and Diggers gigs are good to go to still but those weekly "NIGHTS' just don't exist as much now. Too many people being anti-social on social media LOL... ironic right?
Yeah, I'm from the US. I was glad to stumble upon all of this so young. I was around 11/12ish when it happened (in 1996). But again, I envy anyone who got to experience the scene fully. There will really never be a time like it. People have tried, but it's just not the same. I tend to watch old rave videos just to take in some imagery like I am forming a past memory. That's the closest (albeit crappy) I can get to being there. :P
Anyone know how to create such an emphasised flanger sound like in this track? I use flanger but can never get a sound like this out of it. No where near...
Don't make me laugh, my friend. They were great at creating a special Sound for any genre they worked with.this is the maximum sound for progressive trance. This is a journey
The masses have shit taste. Me and my girlfriend at the time would normally invite a few friends, old and brand new, back to ours after a night clubbing and this was always played. Epic music - Underworld at their imperious best.
Back then we had no mobile phones, just cheeky or chessey Rants 4 the Internet to have laughs Windows 98 2021 ye all lost Spoondeep or Lowburn Barbara Barbara Shining Future
Ping. To keep this banger alive. Forever.
When I worked at Hot Topic in 1998, I bumped this track in the store on the sound system 😅

Thank you. The immense library of enjoyment Smith and Hyde has bestowed upon is amazing
They are gods walking among us

Crossover band that got me into techno/trance. This is one of my all time favorites!

Tell me about it. If I ever ran a club, I would not allow cellphones on the dance floor. ;P
This is huge.
This is almost like a remix of Surfboy. The "talk to me" lyric and the wibbly wobbly synth line are the same.
prototype of surfboy, or extended version
I shall listen to this in the astral space
one of their best remixes, I wonder why this track didn't make the Dubnobass... extended editions that came out recently.
gut tanzbar, remember it! good channel!!
