My late spouse DJ Sam LaBelle would spin marathons of Underworld. My God, that soundsystem. The Detour was the kind of stand up bar. Huge EAW sound system with those 4 18" subs. Aaaah! The other great part was a grade A crowd of men bopping and or singing along! Jesus.. try finding a gay bar in the States like that anymore. Lol. Sigh..oh well. Oh!.. Their live shows were incredible. Thanks for the memories guys.
This is one of the best electronic tracks ever recorded. Legitimate masterpiece.

the title is so ironic to me because this track always inspires me to write and someday finish my book…
Love this one, there was a moment of trance techno in the 1990's where it wasn't necessarily just a series of peaks and troughs; but whole world journeys that you could groove through :)
Thats exactly what this sounds like. A world journey. That's why it makes your life flash before your eyes.

I think this was the first Underworld track I ever heard - still absolutely massive so many years later
What a marvelous jam! I can picture them banging their heads in sync playing with the knobs of their machines.
Classic Underworld at their epic best - I love all their tracks, but their 10 to 20 minute specials are electronic out of body experiences!!!

Such a shame many people haven't heard such a gorgeous piece of music. I would absolutely love to get the reaction from the nation if Radio 1 could pull their finger out their backside and play the whole of this at prime time on a Friday afternoon. It would blow people's minds.
I heard a short version of this, retitled Second Hand, on the album Chilled: 1991-2008. It was one of my favourite childhood albums and I still go back to it a lot.
Second hand is my fav from cafe del mar volume 1. Great track for the decks this
