As Indonesian I alwasys get excited to know that people with Indonesian blood try to reconnect with their roots. Its like we are welcoming back our lost family.. and they end up helping promoting Indonesia to the world.

Half of our family comes from an island where the people speak a dialect similar to Bahasa Indonesia. The island belongs to Australia. So in our family everyone can speak some Indonesian, even our grandchildren know a few words. We love to visit Indonesia.

@@ocshaljufrian6109 Insyaallah next time I visit Indonesia I will try the high speed train. But Indonesians should tell foreign friends about other train journeys. A few years ago I took my wife by train from Jakarta to Jogjakarta. I know Pulau Jawa well but I wanted my wife to see the _pemandangan_ that we cannot see flying. The train was comfortable, air-conditioned and we could see the beautiful countryside. It was not very fast but it left on time and arrived on time and we enjoyed the trip. More tourists should enjoy these trains. Also I have been told by friends from Sulawesi that there is a railway going north from Makassar now.

Krn punya duit dikit aja dah dipakai buat kejahatan beli motor dgn knalpot brong.

Fun fact, Indonesia used to be a great and tolerant Buddhist and Hindu country until islam came in through trade and slowly took over the entire country through forced conversions and wars against the Buddhist and hindu empire across the country. You can find proof of this in the story of Sabda palon, the Buddhist priest who cursed the last king of Majapahit for converting to Islam

@@sarajaved1120 nope I'm from Australia but my family came from Java. The notion of Indonesian accepting Islam is what most Muslims want you to believe. My family told me of the slow decline of the Majapahit Empire from the decrease of trade with other empires and how the Arabian traders came in and started taking over things slowly through commerce and birthrates which eventually outbreed the Hindu and Buddhist, they fled to Bali in exile hoping that the Hindu and Buddhist faith would return to their rightful land

Your new vlog' s thumbnail is so freaking tendencious hahaha, looks like everybody or all foreign people are rush to go out from Indonesia because there is civilan unrest, coup d'etat or something, but it's okey... That is just for business right!.. I do believe that out country more safe than the rest part of the world ... Oh y btw that lady said that she had to wear a proper dress, that is not completely full right but completely wrong either.. I was told this before in your previous vlog that everyone who come to Indonesia have the right to wear anything that they like as long as they are not wear nothing in their bodies or bikini in public places or government buildings except in Aceh.. In Jakarta or any big cities you can see women or men in short pants, thank top, women with mini skirts, thight legging, that is no big deal for us Indonesian people Chai...Indonesia is moderate predominantly Moslem country based on Pancasila, our ideology.. "We are not colonizer" but then today, I ve just read about how Ukrainian and Russian land developers are masively encroaching cultural land of Ubud. These developers are set to built self surviving housing complexes while clearing green forest that Balinese held sacred in their heart as Balinese belief forests are homes to spirit and living things like animals and plants. During an interview, one of the developer spoke person said that Balinese should embraced the develpment of the housing since jobs will be plenty and each trees cleared will be replant, three for each tree cut down. These housing complexes iare not something that average Balinese can afford judging from the high price. Not too mention there will be night club in these housing complexes too..What we can see, always, foreigners that are too set in their mind that their one way view on how to live , how to develop are the best for locals. When in reality, is not.
