I don't normally upload Garfield related content, but I was curious about this particular episode, an episode intentionally filled with mistakes of every variety!. Let's find out how many there actually are...
I don't own this episode nor any of the clips used!. All rights go to Paws Inc, Jim Davis, 9Story, FilmRoman, and their affiliates.
There were only 3 mistakes in that episode.
My bad.
No There Was 114
Garfield only noted three (3) mistakes in the episode. That doesn’t mean there weren’t any more than that!
Mistake 1: Garfield was not eating
Mistake 2: On the picnic, there was no mustard
Mistake 3: Jon's car had no gas when Garfield was driving it
And at the last second, Odie is replaced with Marmaduke.
Glad you didn’t count the ridiculous amount of food in his backpack as Garfield points out it’s not a mistake
Or the fact that there’s no mustard

@@Vlyg11 sounds like how goofy would say garfield
You have to admit that the animators had fun with this episode.
They had an off day, per say.
*I'll leave now.*
It sure looks like fun
The animators: 🐵🐵🐵🐵🐵🐵🐵🐵🐵🐵 GOiNg CRaZY
Probably the opposite because they have to make sure they make the mistakes correctly
Wdym ‘admit’?
Who was denying that
I noticed two mistakes that were missed:
1. Jon’s beard disappears when Garfield takes the sheet off of him.
2. Garfield is suddenly outside of the house when he offers Odie a snack.
Also, in the beginning it's a full moon, but then it becomes a crescent
I noticed another 3
The police cruisers wheels go back to normal
The elephant disappeared
The leaning tower of piza disappeared
There is also nermal's mouth not opening when he talks
@@deadlyvortez6207 that’s normal
This would be an animators nightmare...Or their pride and joy episode. Depends on the kind of person they are.
Yeah!, The writers didn't have to worry about continuity whilst playing around with animating random stuff on screen. This episode was probably very fun to animate!
@@HiddenAcresClipswell to be fair, all animators make mistakes from time to time
But this episode did give them a chance to let loose
Garfields been a very bad dog lately. I'm gonna teach him a lesson she'll never forget.
Cameo guest star!
Me trying my absolute hardest to get someone’s pronouns correct:
*Odie knocking on door*
Come on, let’s eat this snack I bought.
1:20 This predicted The Garfield Show.
This episode also predicted the Garfield show
@@StopMoPlayer I know that.
@@ReddyToAnimate and another thing, it also predicted the garfield show.
@@gamzzereal.7125 alright I get it.
thats a nice detail but did you know that at 1:20 it predicted the garfield show
Garfield's moving mouth became a trend.
It started with the live action movies
You forgot 2 extra mistakes: Maraduke’s cameo appearance in absence of Odie and Garfield tells his pal that it’s “10 o’clock! Time for a midnight snack.”
Watch the sequel video to this one where I address that!
The rhino line also came after a cow moo
Another mistake that was missed is the fact the "Rhinoceros" sound they used was actually that of a cow. Look up rhino sounds and you'll understand as to why this is another intentional mistake in the episode.
I love this genre where an animation/episode of a show is supposed to act normal but the animators purposefuly put in animation errors to make it feel very off, and i wish it was used more often
0:44 I own the animation cells of Garfield Jon and Odie in this scene
Thats cool
That's cool
Thats cool
I need to see that
Thats cool
you have to wonder how much of the crew knew the gimmick of this episode. the animators obviously knew, but the voice actors could have easily been left in the dark until close to the end of production. even the writers and storyboarders may have come up with this episode without the gimmick and added the cues for the mistakes afterwards on a whim
I like to think the animators knew about the gimmick of the episode and just decided to go wild with not much continuity, this could explain why they added a whole buddy bears scene which couldn't be done on a whim, but I obviously never worked on the show so I wouldn't know!.
0:49 best Garfield error besides the other one. WAIT THIS IS NOT A ERROR
You forgot the scene when Odie is replaced by a dog resembling Marmaduke and Garfield saying that it's 10:00 AM, time for a midnight snack.
I address that in the sequel to this video
Garfield, the only mistake I notice is your denial of any mistakes in this cartoon.
0:49 And the talking voice is Gregg Berger, who normally does Odie's dog sounds.
0:37 - Garfield's fish is gone (unless the reason for this was cut out)
0:55 - Jon's wearing shorts instead of pants now
1:45 - Frog just disappears (once again, this could be explained if you just cut out the reason for it not being there anymore)
2:20 - Garfield was in the building, now he's out
Well, Odie can speak. He just doesn’t feel like talking. He’s one of those quiet kids in school, but he does talk sometimes he just prefers to not speak
He can’t speak coherently.
@@potsdam28 Or maybe it's like the aliens in Star Wars. I remember he did a Hamlet impression on this show once, and it was just barking.
He thought "I'm hungry" once. He's barked and Garfield has translated as well. But unless we're going by The Garfield Show rules, cats and dogs don't talk. Garfield doesn't even talk in Garfield and Friends.
Which makes this so much more weird.
Edit: Except in this episode once didn't see that part yet
As far as I know he only "talked" in one 1980 strip
Stuff like this really helps you appreciate how much work went into consistency back when everything was done by hand.
0:56 Jon not wearing pants is not indicated as a mistake - this means that Jon simply took his pants off outdoors like he normally would.
I can't tell if this episode was made with less effort or more effort than most episodes in this show.
Had to have been more
this is the best cartoon episode I've ever seen
1:48 GOOD GRIEF IS NAKED!!!!!
tv-g (u in my area)
Peter: OH MY GOD NO!
Someone finally did it! I've been thinking to myself for 30 years or so now that I wonder how many actual "mistakes" there are. Thank you for this!
2:20 Garfield is still supposed to be inside the tree.
Thanks for pointing that out, after watching the video I noticed a few that I missed including that one!. The total is closer to somewhere around 117-120 but it took me way too long to cut up the video for copyright stuff, I had to reupload it 3 times!.
I wouldn't call the police using Lorenzo Music's voice being a mistake. Perhaps the policeman was meant to be voiced by him.
Funnily enough I found two mistakes that are actually real errors, lol!.
Between 1:15 and 1:16 check the pinetree in the up-right side that is white in a frame and then green in the next.
And the other one is at 1:45, the frog just disappear from one frame to another. 😂
How can we tell if those are just mistakes or actual errors? Nobody knows!
I love this episode!
I wish more shows would do "Spot the Mistake" episodes. The only other one I can think of is when The Drew Carey Show had its annual "April Fools Day" episodes.
I miss those...
1:30 i forgot to send nermal to abu Dhabi
Who is Abu Dhabi?
@@jonasgabrielsilva2996 place in the UAE
Imagine being Nermals voice actor and being called in for a two second clip of this masterpiece, they must be so proud.
3:34 Garfield predicted the Smurf cat meme no way!(joke)
You missed
Bye frog 1:45
I’m tired of walki- nevermind 1:45
That’s not my name 3:27
I SAID THAT’S NOT MY NAME 3:34
Where’d this road come from 3:40
“Rhinoceros” 3:45
Who threw that 3:50
Garfield and Jon have dementia 3:59
Pretty meta episode for the 80s, reminds me of something you'll see on Animaniacs.
1:08 The way you marked this mistake is hilarious.
1:48 apparently he took notes from Jesus lol
There are some mistakes when the Buddy Bears sing:
When Billy says "Each day we do a little dance, and sing a little song", all the buddy bears are shown moving their mouths.
I don't know if it counts as a mistake, but also Billy is shown singing the verse "If you ever disagree, it means that you are wrong" despite Bertie always being the one singing that verse of the song.
3:34 We live we love we garf
3:28 Blue Smurf Cat Garfield
3:12 Garfield pulled out the fucking Anywhere Door
Garfield predicted Cinemasins.
This is my favorite episode. I just love the idea behind it.
I'm glad someone like you managed to find all the mistakes in that episode.
Most of them*
a few more I noticed :
0:55 his pants are gone too
1:05 he talks to a cup with a string
1:45 frog disappears
2:20 does garfield showing up even though he was on the other side of the door count? or the random door in what seems to be a cave? or the fact they seemingly forgot they were scared? also, the moon is not in the same shape as earlier
3:15 where does the basement come from?
3:45 that was a cow sound
3:50 they throw the napkin on Jon as if the costume department was late for the shoot. but jon sohuldn't have the napkin on him.
Great video, I actually missed some of the mistakes. But you missed one mistake in the episode itself. The eyeholes go missing again when the sheet lands back on Jon.
Thanks! I got to admit, it's hard finding everything!
Certainly managed to count them better than any other user would when this episode first appeared on this site, WITH comments available years back.
garf was also wearing 3 shoes and a picnic table came from the shadow realm then a brick appeared on it too
At the end of the episode, Garfield completely ignored all of the obvious mistakes and nitpicks about minutiae, while Odie, who's usually stupid, recognizes the obvious. It's like how Homestar Runner, who's usually stupid, is the only one to recognize that the "Thnikkaman" is obviously just Bubs with sunglasses and a "TH" taped to his chest.
Oddly enough, Odie having Orson's voice is exactly how I imagined he'd sound if he did talk.
At 104 i dont think anyone noticed the moon being crescent but also a new moon at the same time
3:36 different moon face
Imagine if you tuned into the middle of the episode
Reminds me of the Super Mario Super Show errors but even more wilder.
0:59 you forgot Jon is wearing boxer shorts
114 mistakes. The animators were on something S T R O N K when making this one.
In the 2009 CGI show this would’ve been a normal episode
1:44 - frog on the log randomly disappears
amazing video btw! must've taken a while to try to find every mistake in that episode!! that's a lot of intentional mistakes in one episode though...
2:38 ah yes my favirote mistake
"*A U S T R A L I A
This is how it feels to watch those LUMA AI image to video clips.
the three mistakes garf pointed out, plus the actual mistakes(counting the ones missed), all lead to ≈116 mistakes
My favorite mistake in this episode would have to be Jon calling Garfield "Kermit".
this episode is probably my favorite
1:48 "WOAH MAN!" lol xD
3:59 if only Garfield could reach the pedals
Never even thought of that!
3:02 you forgot garfield's duck bill disappearing
That's a really fun concept for an episode
The “WOAH, MAN!” When the criminal was naked is killing me
Alternate Title: Ai animates a Garfield Cartoon
Two mistakes you missed:
1. 1:05 The cop is using a cup on a string instead of a walkie talkie
2. 1:07 The Criminal's mouth movements don't match what he is saying
2:17
“She’ll”
Garfield wiki gonna go crazy with this
Other mistakes I spotted:
(0:10) Garfield's head on Odie's body. (or is that intentional?)
(2:21) Continuity error: How did Garfield get out of the tree-based house he locked himself in?
(3:40) Where did that road come from?
0:55 you forgot to mention Jon wasn’t wearing pants in this scene
You missed at least one “character no longer has X” (Garfield losing his duck bill), and more surprisingly, had no comment on the convict’s shirt changing before the random nudity scene.
the title of the movie was "Mistakes Will Happen" but you can see it's all mistakes in the episodes, the mistakes was 114, not like a 115
This episode reminds me a lot of the Looney Tunes short Duck Amuck and Bored Versus cursed SpongeBob recaps.
Also, I bursted out laughing when I saw Garfield driving the car.
2:46 You forgot that Jon is laying on half of the blanket, yet the criminal just picks it off of him
You forgot garfield having odie's body
I would consider that a goofy gag rather than a continuity error or dialogue-based mistake.
1:05 You missed this. The Officer is communicating with a string telephone (cup & string)
I argue there are fewer mistakes than Carnage in C Minor.
This was either animator's holiday or hell
Therapist:talking odie is real
Talking odie: 0:48
1:41 In The Buddy Bears Song Apart Of The Clip One Of The Bear’s Noses Turned Black
Garfield's owner: "JuNe ArBeRkUlE"
If my name isn't JUnE ArBErkLE!
0:49 - HE CAN TALK?! 😂
Imagine taking that clip of Odie talking out of context.
"Why is Odie talking?"
That.......was a lot of hilarious mistakes
2:40 you forgot scene is upside down
Correct
@@turtlepower4leeyeah
He said "Australia"
@@ADudeWithAChannelyeah
You missed one, maybe two, POSSIBLY three mistakes- depends how you count them.
Odie comments that there were more than 3 mistakes in the episode, and Garfield says he’s wrong. And Odie insists there’s more, to which Garfield firmly denies any more mistakes being in the episode. Depends if you’d count Odie doubling down on there being more than 3 mistakes as one or two mistakes.
And then Garfield saying it’s 10 AM, and then saying that makes it time for a midnight snack. But with how much Garfield eats and twists logic for a meal, that one might be intentional.
0:16 also the medium steak become rare (the one on the left)
This is like having free time at school but for everyone who made this episode
4:11 is mistake 115 because Friends are there played in a season 3 episode!
What about Odie replace into a random dane dog at the end? That counts 116
HOLY SHIT I DIDN'T EVEN NOTICE THAT!
You forgot the mistakes that occurred after Garfield asked how many there were, most notably Garfield saying there were only 3 (and Odie turning into a Great Dane)
I address these in the sequel video to this one
0:51 I might make that a pfp of mine somewhere, for some reason Garfield with shades looks really cool
3:28 gumball jumpscare warning
Loved it! Thank you this is exactly what I needed
3:45 I don't know what rhinoceros sound like, but that was a cow's moo!
Mistakes happening in a episode named mistakes will happen? Unbelievable!
0:49 what.
Mistakes happening in a episode named mistakes will happen? Unbelievable!
3:44 Cow sound for a rhinoceros
