It definitely has! But in these photos you’re also seeing Cd. Juárez lights, so it’s making EP look even bigger in the photos. I love living out here. Great people, great food, great views 👍👍 Thanks for watching!
Blue Hour says it best. I absolutely swoon over that view at that time of day, no matter the weather. Congrats on some fine photography and warm voice over.
Blue hour is definitely fun. It’s thrilling trying to catch that shot knowing the light is changing fast and you only have a small window to get those colors. Thanks for watching, and for the kind words on the photography and voiceover. I’ve been working on those particular items, and it’s nice to have feedback on what’s working and not working 🙏🙏👍👍
Thanks! It was a killer sunset shot, I want to do a timelapse up there. Often people are surprised that El Paso is number 5 in Texas and usually sits around number 20 in the country based on population; the US ranking can fluctuate from year to year. In these pictures you’re also seeing Cd. Juárez in the background, which makes it look really big heh-heh.
@@ChucoHiker I knew El Paso was a large city. But the lights seem to go on forever. Must be Juarez helping out like you said. Either way, the city light look awesome from above.
I've never heard the term "blue hour" but very fitting. The colors are beautiful. I haven't been to El Paso since a very early age when my dad was stationed at Ft. Bliss. Maybe this year will be time for a visit.
I didn’t learn it until I got more into photography, but as you said it is very fitting. It would be interesting to see how El Paso today compares to the El Paso of your past. It’s a fun city, and we have some great local state parks to play in.👍🙂👍
Wow, they mined the mountain all the way down to the water table! Chavo, I hiked just about all your areas in the 80's. I can share some interesting sites with you in the future.
Are you talking about the quarry? I can’t even imagine what it looked like before the huge hole in the ground. I moved out here in 2008, so it’s just always been there for me. I’m all ears for interesting sites in the Franklins! That’s cool that you’ve been hiking these mountains for so long. What else has changed?
That’s too bad you couldn’t do it last Labor Day, but it is an easy one to sneak in on an overnight 🙂 Definitely worth doing if you just need a quick outing with some views. Thanks for watching 👍👍
You’ve gotten plenty of sunrises in though 🙂 The views were definitely nice during blue hour, the pictures pretty much take themselves. On a side note, I’m finally getting healed enough to start thinking about Anthony’s Nose. 👍👍
@@ChucoHiker that's good, I hope you can make it up there soon. My brother and I were talking a little while ago about doing a sunset hike, but we don't have any plans yet. Maybe in the next few weeks we can figure something out.
Not the best for sunset hike facing east. Best sunset is at the scenic area where Loop 375 cuts through the mountain looking west at the last light of the sun 🌞
Thank you! I forget the exact time, but it took us about an hour to go up. Keep in mind I’m filming and taking pictures, and that slows us down. If you’re in good hiking shape, you can do it faster for sure. Hope that helps!
That was beautiful.
Thank you 🙏🙏
It’s been along time since I’ve been to El Paso. My how it’s grown!✌️

Thank you! It’s great for a quick in-town getaway.
Man El Paso is huge. Great spot for sunset.

@@CameronHall88 I was surprised at how awesome it looked at night up there. Like you said, a great spot for a view 🙂
Very nice view!!!
Thank you, I can’t believe I’ve lived here for almost 15 years and just now did this hike. Definitely going to do more photos up there!
I'm going to have to make it to the Franklin Mountains. I really liked your nighttime photos of El Paso. Thank you for sharing happy hiking
Thank you! The Franklins are great
to have right here in town. I’m quite pleased with these photos too, some of the better ones I’ve ever taken.

I wanted to summit this on my quick trip out there last Labor Day. Next time I have an overnight stop in El Paso, I'll make sure to get it done.

Hi Chuco, you definitely got some nice views and pictures from up there. It's a good idea to do a sunset hike, which I should try sometime.

This one look beautiful sunset. What time did you guys start at the trail and how long did it take you to hike up to top ?
