You forgot that it needs a field spell as well. It'd be cool to get something like a training dojo that gives a real attack boost to monsters equipped with bamboo sword cards. And maybe a generic ritual monster that capitalizes on the bamboo swords, perhaps a dojo master
Or perhaps the field spell could be a Bamboo Forest that adds one Bamboo Sword card from your deck to your hand? Perhaps at the cost of tributing a monster? Discarding seems too easy. I think a Tribute is counterintuitive enough to make it balanced, but still quite good.
@@clarkside4493 they already have one searcher, but it wouldn't exactly be redundant considering that the theme of the engine is deck thinning. I do like the idea of a bamboo forest field spell though, especially if they made a Panda themed monster to go with it for the archetype.
I know they wouldn't, but I wouldn't mind a Bamboo Sword Ritual Monster and Ritual Spell. It'd be kinda neat as well as maybe having an effect(s) based on how many Bamboo Sword cards you activated with different names or something similar. As for a Quickplay, maybe pop a different Bamboo Sword card to pop an opponent's card and then be able to retrieve a differently named Bamboo Sword card from your GY.

I think a few monsters would be nice like a card called bamboo swordsmith, which lets you search out a card, but give it low stat, like 500 atk or something, then we have Bamboo Swordmaster, lets say it can be special summoned by tributing a monster equipped with a bamboo sword, and its effect is that it lets it equip an bamboo sword in your graveyard, give it like high atk or something and an effect based on the number of bamboo swords equipped to it.
Make it's attack it's level, times bamboo equip spells equipped to it, times 1000. Low level, but it can't be normal summoned or set, and must first be special summoned by its effect

What If...? Future "Bamboo Sword" cards, individually, had effects that negate Monster Effects, Spells, and Traps during certain phases or later turns. Or, a TRAP "Swift Bamboo Sword" that can only be activated when your opponent attacks while you control a "Broken", target and negate one card on the field.
For the ritual spell, they dont HAVE to make a monster for it, they could make it like those generic ritual spells that can summon a monster of a specific type or attribute or whatever

Here’s an idea for a trap card: Reverse Bamboo Sword; “this card can only be activated during your opponent’s battle phase. When this card is activated equip it to your opponent’s attacking monster. That monster can attack you directly and it’s attack can not be negated. If you have a bamboo sword in your spell/trap card zone when the monster equipped with this card attacks, gain life points equal to the monster’s attack instead and your opponent will take damage equal to the monster’s attack. During the End Phase the monster equipped with this card will be banished. The monster equipped with this card will be special summoned back to your opponent’s side of the field during their standby phase on their second turn after this card resolves. After this card resolves, you skip your next two Draw Phases.” What do you think? I feel like this effect could make or break a game for the player who uses it.
There's a VERY ICONIC archetype you somehow have not covered yet: THE SOLEMN archetype, aka the god will cards. You know, the iconic "God say no" cards who have shaped the game for two decades at this point.
Im working hard to make it a full playstyle, with full stun adding Terminal World to also block main phase 2. The best monster I have had success with making this happen - Fairy Tail Rella. You can discard cursed, and then equip that same cursed from grave, and still get the search effect. Hard to make a competitive deck though. Will happily take free tips.

I'm not sure but I believe that like a number of other archetypes, like Vampires, Gradius, and B.E.S for example, the Bamboo Sword archetype might be a Konami reference. I remember seeing similar items to some of the cards when I would play Castlevania Symphony of the Night back in high school.
A watt bamboo deck done right would be intense, as it can already attack directly to pull of some of the combos without the need for all the cards. add some mage powers in to be extra aggressive or just normal stall cards and boom. likely to slow still for modern meta but if pull of quick then full shutdown of opponents deck especially if you can get watt chimera in on the combos, no draw phase and quickly no hand.
Fan of Shaman King, nice man. Though I didn't know that was supposed to be a bamboo sword. I thought since he was wooden sword Ryu, I assumed well...a wood. Not a Bamboo which is technically wood but also grass...Bamboo is weird right?
This is kinda pedestrian. But there's a monster that does benefit from the Bamboo Sword Equip Spell cards. That card is Maha Vailo even though theres no Atk increase, Maha's effect adds 500 Atk per Equip Spell... potentially quite literally becoming....a beat stick 😂
You forgot about field spells too, bamboo swords cover all but quickplay, ritual, and field spells. Shouldn't be too hard to make a field spell for the bamboo swords, something like Bamboo Dojo: Once per turn, discard 2 spell cards, add 1 bamboo sword from your deck to your hand.
I personally feel 3 cards would complete this archetype. Ritual spell (shows the bamboo sword be grabbed for training lets say). If a bamboo sword is on the field, you can use your oppenents monster to use as tribute but must be correct level (keep it from being too strong and limited) to showcase the student challenging the master Monster card (I dunno, man in white clothing standing in kendo position with the original bamboo sword) Say level 6 Earth Warrior Att 2000 Def 2200 1st effect-When summoned can search and play a bamboo sword from the deck instantly 2nd effect - during battle phase, depending is this card is in attack or defence, you can choose an opponent's monster to switch the same way this card is (Just thinking another way the bamboo sword can dictate play)) Spell quick play card - (in response if the monster gets destroyed, the card shows the monster holding the broken bamboo sword signalling lost battle) let's say this card can just destroy as many cards on your opposite I'd the field for each bamboo sword you have face up on ur side Rest of the archetype already seems quite good, and these extra inclusions I don't think would be too awful and defo not over powered What do yall think?

I'm willing to bet, just for fun, they make a quick play bamboo sword, and a ritual bamboo sword with a corresponding bamboo monster, but with 0 attack and defense, but it has an instant win condition needing all the bamboo swords in the grave.
Swift bamboo sword quick play if a monster attacks a monster you control that is equipped with a bamboo sword equip spell change all the monsters your opponent controls to defence position and add a bamboo sword spell in your graveyard to your hand
There is one use for broken bamboo sword that I can think of and that is to equip it to your opponents monster and then activate eternal rest which destroys all monster with equipped cards attached to them.

While not a Quick-play, they already have a card referencing Iaijutsu: Slash Draw. Would be nice if there was a Bamboo Sword card that made using Slash Draw easier, though.
Recently, I discovered a rather bizarre Yu-Gi-Oh archetype, which is saying a lot considering that this is Yu-Gi-Oh we're talking about, called the Gunkan Archetype. A series of monsters that are primarily Aqua-Type, Fire Attribute monsters, that are based on battleships that take on the form of sushi. Mainly the gunkan-maki. Is it possible to do an archetype video on this archetype, provided that you haven't done it already?
I think they need to make two more bamboo swords quick play and also ritual. Maybe they should make Bamboo swords ⚔️ for each different kind of trap cards that would be cool!!!! For a Monster They should make Bamboo Bushido Bounty Hunter 6 Stars Atk 2350 Def 2050 effect when summoned equip as many bamboo swords ⚔️ to this monster it gains 100 Atk points for each sword equipped to it if it would be destroyed destroy a bamboo sword equipped to it and it is not destroyed. Decrease its attack if it would lose one of its equipments!
Benkei and Maha Vailo can use these cards as their big weapon. Cause Benkei can attack x the number of cards equip to it. And Maha Vailo increases attack x the number of equip cards to it (500). No wonder they won't put "Bamboo" monster cards cause they have one already. Also I saw some boss monster that also rely on equip cards.

Field spell variant: Dojo of the Bamboo Sword. It's effect is that every monster equipped with a bamboo sword gains a set amount of damage, drawback, only one monster could be equipped with one bamboo sword at a time. Debate.
I honestly either knew about this archetype and somehow forgot it or just didn’t know about it. As far as future content for future videos might I recommend either the salamangreat archetype or the Dinowrestler archetype?
The perfect ritual spell would be "bambo blank" sacrificing a monster with "broken bamboo sword" would ritual summon "bamboo samurai" who has 0/0 and for every bamboo sword on the field they gain 1,000/1,000 and if they are sent to the grave yard add one "broken bamboo sword" to your hand

I've only seen it once but getting my turn skipped by bamboo swords was worse than anything Tear ever did to me 😅

Golden Bamboo is my favorite card to use primarily with my Exodia Deck in Master Duel.

Fan of Shaman King, nice man. Though I didn't know that was supposed to be a bamboo sword. I thought since he was wooden sword Ryu, I assumed well...a wood. Not a Bamboo which is technically wood but also grass...Bamboo is weird right?
This is kinda pedestrian. But there's a monster that does benefit from the Bamboo Sword Equip Spell cards. That card is Maha Vailo even though theres no Atk increase, Maha's effect adds 500 Atk per Equip Spell... potentially quite literally becoming....a beat stick 😂
You forgot about field spells too, bamboo swords cover all but quickplay, ritual, and field spells.
Shouldn't be too hard to make a field spell for the bamboo swords, something like Bamboo Dojo: Once per turn, discard 2 spell cards, add 1 bamboo sword from your deck to your hand.
Just got my self a play set of the draw engine cards, one of my favorites
It would be nice to have monsters support for the bamboo sword to search out these cards
I personally feel 3 cards would complete this archetype.
Ritual spell (shows the bamboo sword be grabbed for training lets say). If a bamboo sword is on the field, you can use your oppenents monster to use as tribute but must be correct level (keep it from being too strong and limited) to showcase the student challenging the master

Spell quick play card - (in response if the monster gets destroyed, the card shows the monster holding the broken bamboo sword signalling lost battle) let's say this card can just destroy as many cards on your opposite I'd the field for each bamboo sword you have face up on ur side
Rest of the archetype already seems quite good, and these extra inclusions I don't think would be too awful and defo not over powered

scary scrolling around to see if i would make up a bamboo sword deck (without wincon draw exodia) just really like the equip cards and archetypes around them and the bamboo sword archetype is the most funny one equip spell that gives you 0atk boost ;D
maybe they could add a bunch of quickplay spell that are named as "-technique name- of bamboo sword" (ex: reversal of the bamboo sword)

I'm willing to bet, just for fun, they make a quick play bamboo sword, and a ritual bamboo sword with a corresponding bamboo monster, but with 0 attack and defense, but it has an instant win condition needing all the bamboo swords in the grave.
they should really add trap or monster counterparts to these
Swift bamboo sword quick play if a monster attacks a monster you control that is equipped with a bamboo sword equip spell change all the monsters your opponent controls to defence position and add a bamboo sword spell in your graveyard to your hand

I used some of the bamboo card in morphtronics. Can do some crazy stuff with them
Honestly add a field spell for bamboo forest/sanctuary. Then add a ritual monster called "Bamboo sword craftsman"
I sure hope we would actually get a full set of card types for this, but keep the theme of exclusively no monsters.
I think this archetype might be the weapons used by Armed Samurai Ben-Kei. Just a thought.
As a child I thought broken bamboo sword would turn ATK of equipped monster to zero
There is one use for broken bamboo sword that I can think of and that is to equip it to your opponents monster and then activate eternal rest which destroys all monster with equipped cards attached to them.
This seems perfect for Mikanko.

Honestly, its Arcetypes like Bamboo Sword that makes me wish there was a new type of Ban List that bans entire Arcetypes instead of 1 card at a time.

It'd be cool if they made the quick play spell a tribute to the quickdraw katana art of Iaijutsu.
While not a Quick-play, they already have a card referencing Iaijutsu: Slash Draw. Would be nice if there was a Bamboo Sword card that made using Slash Draw easier, though.

Recently, I discovered a rather bizarre Yu-Gi-Oh archetype, which is saying a lot considering that this is Yu-Gi-Oh we're talking about, called the Gunkan Archetype. A series of monsters that are primarily Aqua-Type, Fire Attribute monsters, that are based on battleships that take on the form of sushi. Mainly the gunkan-maki. Is it possible to do an archetype video on this archetype, provided that you haven't done it already?
I think they need to make two more bamboo swords quick play and also ritual. Maybe they should make Bamboo swords ⚔️ for each different kind of trap cards that would be cool!!!! For a Monster They should make Bamboo Bushido Bounty Hunter 6 Stars Atk 2350 Def 2050 effect when summoned equip as many bamboo swords ⚔️ to this monster it gains 100 Atk points for each sword equipped to it if it would be destroyed destroy a bamboo sword equipped to it and it is not destroyed. Decrease its attack if it would lose one of its equipments!

Benkei and Maha Vailo can use these cards as their big weapon. Cause Benkei can attack x the number of cards equip to it. And Maha Vailo increases attack x the number of equip cards to it (500). No wonder they won't put "Bamboo" monster cards cause they have one already. Also I saw some boss monster that also rely on equip cards.
You forgot about Field card. It doesn't have one.

If nothing else broken bamboo sword can enable you to pop your opponents, monster with eternal rest, or it’s trap card variant

Field spell variant: Dojo of the Bamboo Sword. It's effect is that every monster equipped with a bamboo sword gains a set amount of damage, drawback, only one monster could be equipped with one bamboo sword at a time. Debate.

I honestly either knew about this archetype and somehow forgot it or just didn’t know about it. As far as future content for future videos might I recommend either the salamangreat archetype or the Dinowrestler archetype?
The perfect ritual spell would be "bambo blank" sacrificing a monster with "broken bamboo sword" would ritual summon "bamboo samurai" who has 0/0 and for every bamboo sword on the field they gain 1,000/1,000 and if they are sent to the grave yard add one "broken bamboo sword" to your hand
