AC3 was underrated, AC UNITY without the glitches is a pretty solid game as well, and Syndicate is not that bad either (Repetitive combat is my one complain). Origins was great and so was Odyssey, I think franchise fatigue plays a role in why Assassin's Creed is criticised so harshly, but I think it was mostly due to how great the Ezio games were and how they ditched the modern day (They fucked up the transition from origins to odyssey, I have no clue how Layla Hassan got to where she was in that game.). AC1 is the one no-one talks about, and now the only one not remastered, it deserves a little respect atleast for starting the franchise that still has fans today.

I like how this remaster improves the game. Most only improve the visuals like the Ezio Collection. I wish that had also received some improvements.
Even though it was a glitch, I liked being able to climb buildings really fast

Shadow Of Light I won’t lie I thought the faces in ACII looked like shit when it released and it hampered my enjoyment of the game a bit. Of course I played it right after playing Uncharted 2 (which looked amazing) so that didn’t help

It's a solid remaster, but as always, the faces in all Ubi remasters look worse than the original in certain lighting.

@@kingofsinter8416 Yeah i was debating of playing the game again cause you can free aim with a bow and the gun and thats really important for me on the pc but cartoonish colored characters and ugly yellow are turning me away, i just dont get why do they change it in such an extreme unnatural way
"totally for no reason get detected" I actually always found this to be pretty realistic, you're a native guy in a dirty weird suit, wearing a hood while no one else does, and open-carrying a bunch of weapons including a pistol, a bow and tomahawk

Yes this is exactly what I want to know it seems like all reviewers only wear assassin white! What your talking about was a major upset for me playing AC3 on 360. They never fixed it.

@@AttakusZakus FUCKING THIS. it totally took me out of the experience when I put on the black and red dye only for it to revert back to white and blue in cutscenes. Made me only use the default color, so happy that they actually show up in cutscenes now.

Liberation wasnt good I agree, but I what I really liked was the persona system.
I was quite dissapointed that they didnt exapnd it a bit more. I could have offer a bit of Hitman feel :) which is something AC needs imho.

James they could’ve not put that much yellow, but i didnt like the grey tone. Felt too dark sometimes just walking through boston and its all grey.

The new lighting is a good add to the game but they should’ve updated the character models as well the faces don’t look so good compared to all the other upgrades
I appreciate how honest and fair you were in this review. AC3 was one of my favorite Assassin's Creed games for a long time, and honestly they hit the nail on the head with this remaster. I never dove deep into Liberation so it's free and I'll give it a go just to explore the story of Aveline. Keep up the good work!

Great, I can actually finish this game after almost 7 years. Back when I played it the first time I was a mere 9 year old kiddo and I didn't understand a word of english, so 100%-ing the game was basically impossible.

I personally had more fun in the remastered version. because the original was just boring with gray-ish feel to it, but the remaster it's more bearable.

Not that good at linking stuff but the Day 1 Patch is supposed to help a bit. But the face issues seem to be because of HDR/Light Baking issues.

I think when you consider that Liberation was originally a PS Vita game it has certainly come a long way, the movement in this video for that game certainly looks a lot smoother. I do have a bit of a soft spot for Liberation as it was the first time we ladies got to play a female assassin! I’ve only just started replaying AC3, still playing Haytham, and thus far, in Boston, there seems to be very little colour, so I’m hoping this will improve once I get to Connor. I do wish they had removed some of the overlays on screen, even on a 65” TV they seem to cover a lot of the action. I’ve also found that some of my opponents flop around like wet rags during fight scenes; the first one on board ship at the beginning of the game, which I felt a bit let down by. I’ll try and keep an open mind though. I loved AC3 the first time round so am more than happy for the chance to play it again, especially as it came included with my season pass anyway
The only differences with the weapon wheel in the remastered is that its not taking away your visual from the combat. In the previous AC 3 you can open the weapon wheel like in AC2,brotherhood,adm revelation, but it sucks because it taking away your view from the combat.
And because of that it loads much faster, meaning you're not actively discouraged from using most your tools by a 20 second halt to gameplay.

@@KingShibe The unlockable version of that outfit pales in comparison to the one in the naval missions. Instead of boots, you get dress shoes and leggings.

there is no point in all of these early reveiws coz ubsioft put out on their official forums that there will be a day one patch with the size of 18GB which will make a huge difference to a lot of things.
These credits man...when I played ac 3 for the first time in the Xbox 360 I thought it was stuck on the credits because it took so much time 😂. I have the ac odyssey season pass and now I will replay all the first ac titles during Easter ( 1,2, brotherhood, revelations, and 3)

Hey you guys Remember Sequence 7 Mission 3 . The worst mission in AC history !!
Fun Fact - It is exactly the same in the Remastered version too , you use all your arrows and Poison darts to kill Redcoats silently but suddenly get detected so you reload last checkpoint only to find out your ammunition is still in zero , considered when the checkpoint save happened you had full ammunition .
Glitches are still there , Parkour haven't been improved still annoying when you wanna climb somewhere else but it just does it's own thing , The annoying mini-games that prevented 100% completion are still there to get you to smash your controller .
So the trolls were right . It's just AC3 with a bit of orange xD

assassin’s creed liberation is insanely underrated crazy plot twist story the father was in love with the adopted daughter which was insane in my opinion never expected that then I remembered the timeline. the combat was amazing as in Connor’s so that was a plus as well

Am I the only person that wants a new full revamp of AC2 and black flag? Other than origins no AC game has even come close to them in reguards to story telling and character development. The robe and weapon customisation along with the parkour of unity, the RPG element of odyssey, beautiful world elements from black flag and similar/better story building like in AC 2 would be great in a new game. Ubisoft have a nack for making something good in one game and taking it away for the next when it was the strongest selling point of the last title. Oh yeah, and can somebody please kill fucking Layla and bring Desmond back already.

Not downgraded, it looked ugly because they increased the textures of the face and brushed them straight away... making them look unnatural at the most part.

What's the deal with ac remasters having terrible colors? They just look way too saturated for the mood of the game... I actually kind of prefer the originals' colors. Connor's robes are just so intensely blue now its ugly

It's an unreleased track from one of the trailers called "Connor's Story." Honestly not sure why it never made it into the game itself as its one of the best tracks that was composed for the game.

I'd like to ask how much hard drive space does it require and if they fixed the map reveal thing (even if you synchronized all view points on the map, not all of it was revealed).
When I did the preload it said like 40-50 gb
I was just happy I could play it on my ps4 instead of having to plug in my ps3 every time I wanted to play it, and the graphics and gameplay improvements were very much welcomed
They should’ve added Shay as a target in some kind of DLC where Connor travels to France, kills Shay and takes the box from him, and hides it in the crypts below Saint Denis.

Assassins Creed 3 is a pretty good game with awesome brutal combat a limited stealth system that his still satisfying the story is fascinating and provides lots of amazing and emotional moments also the theme is great. I haven’t finished Ac 3 Remastered yet and haven’t played Liberation

To bad they didn't make it where you could take out a whole army like in Bunker Hill like give us 2 choices Stealth or Charge in and kill every last soldier on the battle field and get Pitcairn too they should do that in all of the games have 1 single large battle where you can choose Stealth or just Charge in and wipe out all of the enemies for 1 mission

There is a release patch, at least for PC that is 16.80 GB I am sure it will address a couple of the items you mentioned in this review

I'm thinking about getting this game for ps4 but I'm really having trouble deciding. As a person who has not played the original Ac3, I feel like I should play this game for the ps4 and try it out. However, there is so many individuals saying that this game is terrible and not worth buying. As I said I haven't played the original ac3 so this would be new to me. If somebody could reply telling me if this game is worth it or not from my perspective, it would be greatly appreciated.
I would say no. The game when it came out felt unique because the series overall was getting stale after Revelations. Conner's plot is very minor to the overall AC story. I think this game was made just so we can play during the American Revolution. The only important factor to this game, story-wise, was ending the present day story arc.
On the gameplay front, it revamped/simplified the controls and introduced ship combat. You're better off just playing AC4 or Rogue for the full experience of what this game set out to do. I thought these games were the weakest in the series and would recommend people to skip them entirely, but I do know a lot of people like 4, so you can play that instead. If you don't like ship combat, play Rogue as it's less and has a good story with an awesome ending
I absolutely loved the gameplay and story of part 3 and visually it's now how I wanted it to be

ac Odyssey was my first ac game and i really liked it so i bought the pass and it came with ac3 remastered and liberation now ac 3 is my favorite (ac) game and its one of the only games (gta V) i've replayed liberation however felt like the playmobil to connors Lego it felt plasticky and not just the people but als the terrain it felt you had just shoved the ledge into the main piece and were making up a crappy story

I'm actually pretty surprised how much positive praise you give to the Remasterer. Personally i Really liked AC3, and was pretty happy to hear we were getting it on the current gen. And now i'm even more happy to hear about all the Nice changes they added to the game. Awesome!

@@islamenglish1835 because the ending sucks - it's a slap in the face to hardcore fans and since then the future story has sucked and has made incredibly little progress. Since then i have not been anywhere near as invested in Assassins Creed.
The original made me appreciate AC3’s world, the remaster made me love it. The frontier is so fun to run around in, even though it’s not the same detail as RDR2, but you shouldn’t expect that from AC3. What’s there is perfect imo, and just made me love AC3 more than I did before.
I've only played the Vita version so this is a huge improvement to me because I hate digital games but AC 3 is my favorite AC game so this remaster is 100% worth it
