- This is a new piece of gear to me and it's very deep so I'm using the iPad to enable me to take it to work with me and jam lunch breaks to get more time on it.
It's really very cool how this thing sequences, you're always interacting with it and nudging things around, really engaging.
This is just the first jam but I the Torso T-1 will be a device I keep and feature quite a lot in my upcoming jam videos.
Thanks for watching!

Dear Santa I want a T1!
Sounds very nice! It inspires me. Thank you
@@Mrkief thank you and you’re welcome dude ❤️
Great video! I would love to see more videos and learn how the iPad and Torso work. Apparently this is a good combo of both worlds.
@@mit136speichenumdiewelt thank you! Also check out my iPad 4 part series, I show some torso stuff there:

Perfect i will do ;-)
@@mit136speichenumdiewelt also apologies for the boomy mic, I’m not the pro TH-camr 😂
That's not a deal!
What are the physical connections? Does this have to run through a Mac or a hub, or could you just run an adaptor cable from the ipad to the T-1? If yes to the powered hub then do you have any current recommendations?
You can USB this directly into the iPad via a USB-C cable. I use a USB hub because then I can power the iPad at the same time. Something like this: www.idealo.co.uk/compare/201708156/ugreen-60384.html
@@streetdoghanoi Awesome, thanks!
Oh wow this sounds nice! Would you say the Torso "writes melodies for you" or is it more than that?
@@MoeShinola1 it’s good for ideas and takes you places you might not go to otherwise but you must set the parameters that it generates these ideas within so it’s not fully doing it all for you, you still need to drive the track and control your transitions etc. it’s a good sequencer though, I sold mine but I do recommend it.
@@streetdoghanoi Cool. I have a Korg SQ-64 and though it is nice, I have trouble getting it to do slides & accents. Everyone on TH-cam just loves the Oxi controller, it's a little outside my price range but maybe at some point.
@@MoeShinola1 what are you sequencing? What’s your setup?
@@streetdoghanoi Elektron Model:Samples, Behringer Edge & Crave, Volca Keys and Sample. Recently added a Circuit Tracks, so there is another sequencer option. Also Koala Sampler on an android tablet, for triggering one-shot vocal samples.
I hope to score a Behringer Pro VS Mini soon.
Sounds great! What ipad apps are you using?
Thank you! I’ve updated the description with the apps list now. Sorry I should have done that previously but initially I thought I would give this jam a redo. It kinda grew on me though so I let it be!
what is ipad app you use?
@@aubolessi the synths are buttersynth, sunriser and factory. They are hosted in an app called AUM.
