    Good video 👍🏻 I’m running a Hobbywing 11356 800kv motor with a Max5. 40t pinion, stock spur. Diff fluids are 1M in the front 20M in the centre 500K in the rear. I have a full Jim’s stainless steel rubber sealed bearing kit. JX 70kg servo. Flysky GT5 for my radio/receiver. I have the carbon fibre tubing on the chassis braces and a 4mm thick carbon fibre plate on the bottom of the chassis. As for fans on my Max5 I have a WFO shroud with 2 40mm yeah racing fans and on the motor I have a heat sink with 2 30mm yeah racing fans. I run 3 different sets of batteries... hobbystar 8000mah 100c, powerhobby 5200mah 50c and HRB 6000mah 50c.

    Got mine didnt like stock tires switched to the Duratrax belted sixpacks, made a huge difference with grip up front, also switching up to 2.5mil center diff this week havent liked how front end needs to be down to pull it around for me

  • @MrJimbouMan
    @MrJimbouMan 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    I had my v.1.0 K8S understeer really bad compared to my friends v.1.5.
    Changed the diff fluids and it really made a difference! Now I can use the throttle to bring the back around.
    I wen't for Front:1Mcst, Center:20Mcst, Rear:500Kcst.
    Would like to try with 1M or 2M in the back as well. But that will have to wait until nest time.
    Still heaps better with the new fluids!

    Looks like a lot of power is going to the front. Might need to tune the center diff

    Great rip with that big girl 👍👊🏻😱. Yeah the arms are the weak spot. 😞 I added two M3 drup screws per arm and since haven’t broke any arms. The front arms suck to change. Great job on the video. Bash on 😎😎

    Try taking the sway bar off so you can get more body roll to help the tires bite

    If the arms were solid plastic, they would be SO much Weaker. It allows the part to be way more rigid. An example of this would be, a hollow piece of metal tubing vs. A solid metal tube. The solid will bend alot easier and more than a hollow tube.

    • @ExocagedRC
      @ExocagedRC  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Idk about the metal part. I know the outside diameter is the majority of strength but I have my doubts on that one

    • @PhilBender612
      @PhilBender612 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ExocagedRC try it out for yourself. Engineers use this simple science for everything they design that that requires strength.

    • @ExocagedRC
      @ExocagedRC  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      It’s lighter and strong using tube for sure but it also crimps and crushes when bent.

  • @airgunny7416
    @airgunny7416 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    its not solid because you cant cast solid parts, materials shrink as they cool, so having it one solid block would make for a massive amount of shrinkage in the middle and a mix of compressive and tension stresses built up within the piece, deforming the whole piece; making it narrower reduces these effects and spreads it more evenly through the part

  • @Bawla187
    @Bawla187 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Great video. I'm hoping someone comes out with stronger arms for it, without going metal and adding weight. I spray my upper/lower, front/back arms with WD-40. Only in the middle where I'd like it to flex more 🤷🏾‍♂️ What color xMaxx did you order?

    Arrma needs to change the material on these.. I already shattered 2 front arms in like 40min runtime from brand new.. the problem is how they shatter.. they dont bend at all.. every chinese car I have has more forgiving plastic..

  • @JenniferHenberger
    @JenniferHenberger 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    The arms are made of the worst plastic I've seen in hobby grade trucks... RPG arms haven't broken thankfully... but even exb arms just shatter instead of flexing...
