And honestly, I'm still floored by the very concept of modding a PS1 game that for 25 years hasn't been touched beyond widescreen patches and the like. Amazing stuff.

I hope they add the Koenigsegg CC Prototype, it looks so stunning and I don't think it's ever been in a racing game. Also they should add the Zender Fact 4 cause that one definitely needs some more recognition and it's only appearance was in the first Midnight Club game.

What an astonishing group of cars the A-Spec team are adding! This is incredible work by all involved, giving new life to a game that is a quarter of a century old. The challenge would surely be deciding which cars the team *don't* want to include rather than what should go in. The selection of some rarely known and oddball cars distills Kaz's spirit perfectly. The F1 cars are truly the greatest thing I've seen involved in any Gran Turismo mod. It's a stroke of genius. The limiting factor on making the most of their inclusion is surely the tracks. These include the Toyota TSO10; a car infamously known for being so hard on the drivers, it felt like you broke your ribcage after you're done with it, the Ferrari F40; a classic and iconic supercar from the late 80's, there's a Renault 21 Touring Car; I didn't even know such a thing existed until it was shown off, and the oh so amazing Peugeot 405 T16 Pikes Peak... my second love of my childhood and is criminally under-represented in modern games due to the 205 T16 being the more favourable choice... thank you V-Rally 2 for exposing me to such a wonderous beast!!

A special variant called the Porsche B32 would be an amazing special version of this model. There is also the legendary Syncro model, which is an offroad king - The pickup-bodied Tristar would make an excellent Syncro rendition of the T3. One cool fact about the Syncro is that despite it being rear-engined, it had a near perfect 50/50 weight distribution, giving it excellent handling for a commercial vehicle. - I've owned a few Syncros myself. Wish I never sold them. As for the Toyota HiLux, the 2.4 liter engine (113 HP) would be a good option. The fifth generation HiLux (1988-1995) would be a good pick, as it is regarded as the best. - Also depicted in that episode of Top Gear, where they tried to destroy it, to no avail. The HiAce (It was also known as the Granvia) on the other hand would probably be the front-engined 1996-onward model, which was hugely popular in Europe at the time. Hope they add the rest of the F1 99 season cars. Though I can only imagine what sort of a mess it will be to texture the BAR car. Maybe they'll pull a hat trick and instead make the two originally intended paintjobs so they don't have to fit the weird double livery onto a single model. Also the lack of F355 in Gran Turismo still confuses me. It was like the final evolution of that car design and yet it's not there. I can only hope they add it in an update some day to GT7 but I doubt it.
Personally cant wait to try out the astra gsi and bx. Also for its time it was the hot hatch, that c20 is a great engine. Also they made a little ax for french dtm, it was fwd with a big turbo and a load of boost.
@@TheRealEmile it sure is. In fact, it was originally going to be AWD, but when Citroën tested the AX with just FWD, they were astonished with how good it already was that they decided to scrap the AWD plans altogether.
Also I think some cars are getting racing mods that didn't originally. I think there's a new RM for the Scighera that turns it into the Scighera GT (yep, they wanted to race it), but I don't know if it's in the preview or not. It was in the trailer though and it looks fantastic.
I think they showed a new race mod for the RS200 too, making it the rally car. (I'm pretty sure they said it was going to be a race mod and not a new car)
@@InfernotheFox Which really is just doing what should have been done in the base game. It not having the rally version as a racing mod was the most bizarre thing.

I'm not sure if they will but I wouldn't say no to more of them
124 Fiat / Lada 2101 it's a wonderful!
Personally cant wait to try out the astra gsi and bx.
Also for its time it was the hot hatch, that c20 is a great engine.
Also they made a little ax for french dtm, it was fwd with a big turbo and a load of boost.
My god that AX sounds incredible
@@TheRealEmile it sure is. In fact, it was originally going to be AWD, but when Citroën tested the AX with just FWD, they were astonished with how good it already was that they decided to scrap the AWD plans altogether.
I know it wasn't the best but I'd love if they put in the BAR 01
I doubt that'll happen because of the way liveries work
@@TheRealEmile 😢😢😢
@@TheRealEmiledon't speak so soon
Also I think some cars are getting racing mods that didn't originally. I think there's a new RM for the Scighera that turns it into the Scighera GT (yep, they wanted to race it), but I don't know if it's in the preview or not. It was in the trailer though and it looks fantastic.
That's one I forgot to showcase but yes it's in and it looks so good
I think they showed a new race mod for the RS200 too, making it the rally car. (I'm pretty sure they said it was going to be a race mod and not a new car)
@@InfernotheFox Which really is just doing what should have been done in the base game. It not having the rally version as a racing mod was the most bizarre thing.
Yo its the Gemballa F355 nice one.
I had to look up that reference won't lie
Oh my goodness!!!
Wow😮awesome 👌 👏 👍. Hope to see lamborghini cars too, like lamborghini diablo with pop up lights😊😊.
I think a Diablo is planned
The Project R of cars
What
I wonder if we’ll ever be able to add new cars to GT4
Model editing is now possible in GT3 but that's very early days, it wouldn't shock me if it happens one day although to what capacity I don't know
Opel Astra GSI 👍
They should also remove the speed limit on cars because once you exceed 700kmh the cars go backwards
What
@@TheRealEmile I'm saying that in the game there is a maximum speed limit that can be reached with mods, if you exceed 700mph or kmh the car automatically goes backwards and if you slow down below the limit it goes forward again
@@forzaroma8659 that sounds like something else that can't be fixed because it's hard coded
I have a car suggestion if I may: the Dodge Stealth, and it's special variant could be the pace car used for NASCAR, but with gran Turismo logos instead
Could even do separate models like the ES model mirroring the 3000gt SL and so forth.
Car suggestions you'll have to speak to the Devs about
A Ferrari F355 in a another PS1 game? I got interested to play Gran Turismo 2 with that mod.
I have a BIG question. My save from game A-spec 1.1 will be compatible with this 1.2 or people need to play all over again from the beginning?
You'll need to start over
I hope see all cars since today even alfa Romeo mito too. Thanks i wait. 😊
They won't add the MiTo because it's too new
Praying for a Pontiac Fiero one day.
An F40 is coming which I guess you could short shift and pretend it's a replaica with? lol
Fantastic 🇧🇷🇧🇷
Some of these where in other games like NFS3 and Test Drive 5 at the time...
Never played them
Great car list!
Just a shame that this isn’t playable on an actual PlayStation console - as it should be.
It is
@@TheRealEmileSorry to ask, but what do you mean with "it is"?
It is playable on standard hardware
@@TheRealEmile A modded GT2?
How?
@@Kev27RS I don't know the technical details but you can write this to a disk and play it on a PS1 same with GT2 Plus
Awesome
