Nice. I found your channel about 5 years ago. At that time I was working saving for changing my life and you kept me motivated and inspired. I have been traveling for 3 years now. :). Lot of what I am doing now is modeled after you.
You are an inspiration for all of us. I have travelled a lot compared to other people at my age, but man, i havent even scratched the surface of what you have achieved. Greetings from Eugene! I'm always inspired by your adventures, Gabriel. There's something deeply authentic about your connection to the world. It's rare to see these days.
I love your enthusiasm for keeping on the move, seeing new places even after 30 years. Next week I'm going hiking round Tenerife for 2 weeks, can't wait. First time in the Canary Islands at 43 years old.
A tremendous life you have had. Thanks for the chronicles of your life of college, work, travel and adventure. It really inspires one to plan and achieve one's goals in life.
You’ve got a fantastic and compelling story! I’m glad you’re tying the narrative thread a little tighter in this video. I’ve read all the books & it’s cool to hear the story again, all pieced together in a video. I started following your other channel in May or June of 2014, I think it was. I can’t believe it’s already 2019 and that was five years ago. 😲 Looking forward to Part 2. Peace! ✌🏼
Love your videos man.. 2015 was my first time leaving the Uk, about 2 months before my 22nd birthday and i decided to jump straight in at the deep end on a solo 6 month trip to south east asia, 4 years later im a few months away from my 4th extended trip :)
Ciao.. Gabriel... You are a great man... With a great story... You have great ideas... You show all videos in simple way... You do always a top job...Compliment for all your work... You are a very intelligent man... Respect... God bless you for all in your life... Always at any time and moments... Saluti
Thanks for sharing , love hearing about your travels! My husband and I took a bit of a different route, college, marriage & kids all while we were quite young, our first trip abroad wasn't until we were in our forties (China). Now we are addicted, I'm already two years out on my travel planning, this year includes Japan, Moscow & Iran. Can't and won't stop!!!!!
I’m 46yrs old I just worked for 30 years.. you definitely lived better than me . I see myself retiring in 10 years and then traveling more . Do you think about retirement / getting old ?
WuZZZup Gabe! Been a while since I have seen you up on FB. Happy your life is full of travel... God only knows how much I miss getting out there like I did years ago. It's freedom... it's THE LIFE! Rock on with yo' bad self brother! Safe travels!

Very cool. I love history and enjoy your channel very much, so it is always fun to learn more of your life journey. Enjoy your time in the Golden State. Cheers.
Right now I live in a van on the beach in Hawaii right by where I work (also the beach) I’m saving to go to school in Prague to get my TEFL certification. You can definitely travel, save, travel, save...I’ve been doing it for 4 years now :)
Gabriel I’ve met you last year in a hostel in Helsinki, I’ve been dreaming of doing sth like that. That’s really inspiring and I wish I could have the courage to do it someday in the future.
Good timeline, I was at NM gathering in '95, good scene back when there still enough old school "heads" that knew how to drop out without becoming begging tweekers. The scene is pretty bad now. Society was relatively less expensive then and more tolerant of vagabond ways ( Thank you Ed Buryn). It is far more difficult to be a successful "poor" person now as society quickly labels you as homeless ( with all the right and proper judgments and hostility). I have no doubt many, many more adventures await and once your done with the road an Intentional Community will gladly have you on board to tell tales to the little ones. Keep on truckin'
What a life you had my friend! Wish, coming from brazil, money wasnt such an issue. Not even after graduation, jobs pay hardly enough to live by around here. and even if we quit to travel a bit, we end up jobless for months after we arrive back.

One of your most enjoyable videos. Great to clear the air in your summation of it all. Gotta ask, do you carry any weapons in your backpack? I moved to California a few years ago and any time I’m in ANY wilderness I take a big threatening looking survival knife. Also for if you would get jumped too of course.
I've been a viewer for a long time, you've inspired me to finally go and really travel, not typical touristy travel. I'm thinking of backpacking Central America around April for 2-4 weeks, would you recommend doing it with a small tour group for my first time solo backpacking?
Sweet, personally I would recommend going solo, I'd hate to be stuck with a group for more than a day myself. But you'll just have to decide what you want to do. If you haven't traveled on your own before and don't feel confident going to a foreign country for a weeks by yourself then going with a group might be a good idea.
@@GabrielTravelerVideos I suppose going solo would be a real adventure, and hostels will have other travellers to meet. I think I might go solo this time round and see how it is, thanks. Either way I'm definitely getting out there in a few months
