Wonderful! Amazing to see Suzette Charles crying listening to her song "Every Time We Touch". A great Mike Stock's song and production.Thank you Mike again and again.
You can only imagine how many great singers have fallen through the cracks...just like Suzette. I hope she is able to make a financially successful career today.
Suzette is ageless! I remember visiting London from Texas and I picked up "Free To Love Again" as a CD single. She was the American pageant girl gone pop. Loved the song tremendously and seem to be really lucky to own this!
Her voice is incredible, and from what I can hear of them, the songs are great. This video shows how a business conflict can can derail a worthy project. What a shame. I know life takes people in new directions, but do I wonder if she gave up the pursuit of a recording career after this project fell apart. I can't find anything online of her performing recently. I'd certainly go see her in a cabaret room.
How can we GoFundMe an album for something from her NOW?!!! Or file a petition to get RCA to put out an album by her. She's beautiful, has a FANTASTIC voice, and needs to come out and remind these kids what SINGING is
There were six songs done during the session work: Just For A Minute After You're Gone What The Eye Don't See Every Time We Touch Don't Stop (All The Love You Can Give) Free To Love Again
Why can't these songs be released on CD for the fans?! I know a couple of the songs were released on unpolished Diamonds CD compilation many years ago and was only a promotional item and sells for triple digit prices these days!!
Very interesting. She's even more stunning than back then, but why did she wait 22 years to visit Mike Stock again? It is mentioned that only "Free to Love Again" ever SAW the light of day and that Suzette hadn't heard "Every time we touch" since recording it in 1993, but I've had an MP3 of both this song and "After You're Gone" since 2001, and of "Just for a minute" since 2002, so they must have been released somewhere.. Also, "Don't Stop" was released in 1999 in a version by Dutch singer Maxine. With regards to her being runner up to Vanessa Williams in the Miss America 1984 pageant (and eventually replacing her), it is interesting that "Every time we touch" sounds like a Vanessa Williams song ("Save The Best For Last").
Funny! I've never heard a peep from her since she was 1st ru , then had a month as Miss America! Guess she has made a decent living? But stardom on a national level...No Way!

She's missed out for some reason! She's in her 50's now!
Suzette Charles unreleased album needs a physical release with some new material with production by Mike Stock, it would be so sublime!
Wow. This stuff is too good to let it go. It really needs a release.

A great interview. We hope in a new Suzette Charles record produced by Mike Stock.
I never really heard much about her after the pageant. Thanks for posting.

WHAT A VOICE
She was my choice to win Miss America...
Not mine! She was excellent though! But the judges saw otherwise! And (IMO) made the correct choice!
I don't understand what happened. We need a Suzette Charles Unsung
I❤Suzette Charles.
At 23:11 Mike Stock is playing the piano.

12.40 - 14.15 gets me "Everytime"
I wish she was Miss USA instead of Miss America👸🏽
Miss USA is Statuesque! Charles is cute but short and not Statuesque! Two completely different titles!
Some of SAW's best work - aside from Donna Summer of course :-)
This is interesting.
Alway a 1,000 miles behind Vanessa Williams. Vanessa had and has the career. Poor Suzette, not os much.
