He was the Senior Tac Officer of my Infantry OCS company. I recall his singing.

The Vietnam Generation was just as great as the WWII generation. They met every challenge thrown at them and continued to stand up for our country’s values. My stepfather was a former PJ who spent almost three years in Vietnam. All these men and women who served deserve as much respect as any prior generation. They did their duty and over 52,000 and counting paid the ultimate price. Agent Orange has killed many more of our Veterans and it’s in the process of getting my Dad now. I respect them all and wish nothing but peace and happiness for them in this life and the next.

Rick didn't leave the tower because he wanted to make sure everyone was out, just like Hal ensured he was the last man out of LZ X-ray. These guys were legends.

a "statute" is a law or regulation. What you have there is a statue, an image of someone.

The fact Mel Gibson refused to recognise this man is further proof of his Anglophobia. From Braveheart to The Patriot - Mel just cannot let it go.

@@x66Hawk66x I lived in Hayle myself until a few years back before moving up the road to Redruth ( i know ) the reference about Mel Gibson being Anglophobic is quite mild to be frank, he is a well know Brit hater & the fact that he pointedly & deliberately made no reference to Rick Rescorla in the film is an absolute disgrace but that's Gibson for you.....not only a Brit hater but anti-semetic as well. What i don't understand though, given Ricks standing within the 7th Cav community, how Moore, Plumley & others allowed Gibson to get away with such an awful sleight on such a brave man. Shame on you Gibson.
