That chocolate place is totally what I'm looking for in Japan. East of Kyoto is really full of beautiful places.

Love this hidden gem Kyoto video. Maybe for my next trip to Kyoto if I can get around in 2026/2027 Autumn 😀. I like your 3 passions shown in each of your video i.e. beautiful photo-taking, appetizing food, and a bit of historical quizzes.

Thank you for your recent vlogs. I have used your recommendations when we were in Nara (loved the deer) and Osaka (Dotonbori was so busy). We have also been in Kyoto and went and bought onigiri and the desserts and had a picnic by the river. A local young lady asked to take a photo of my husband and I as she thought we were cute!! Today we went and walked the incline. It was a shame that the Bluebottle coffee shop was closed. We went to Green door instead and had a beautiful cake and coffee set. Thank you for your content. We are moving on to Kanazawa and then 2 weeks in Nagano skiing. Have a happy new year. Bec 😊

Ah I'm so glad you could enjoy everything so far! Hope you have a super fabulous time in Kanazawa and Nagano. Definitely jealous of the skiing. ⛷️😆 Happy new year!!!

    Another excellent video.
We went to Nanzenji in the beginning of the month, but did not know we could go up to the top of the gate. 😢 And I have no idea how we missed ghe Blue Bottle cafe. 😅

For Gion, the most fun places to me are the Kanji Museum and Minamiza ... hiking up to Doshisha Cemetery is also nice (with zero foreigners ... or, actually, anyone)

This looks really cool! Will it be as picturesque in February as it is in the fall?

Well, of course everything will be mostly dead since February is still cold, but otherwise, it's really lovely year round. :)

Loved this video. We went to Okazaki Shrine on November 5, 2023. My wife LOVES RABBITS. She spent $$$ on cute Rabbit items from this shrine. I didn’t realize that everything else was so close. Wished we saw this before going. We came back on Nov 23 from a 3-Week trip to Nikko, Matsumoto, Narai, Kanazawa and Nara. Seems that we were still too early for peak Autumn foliage. We’ll just have to try again next year. - - When was the footage for this video actually recorded? I suspect that global warming is going to continue to push the date for Peak Autumn foliage to late November through Mid-December. What are your thoughts on when is the best two week window to capture Peak Momiji in Kyoto? - - Hauʻoli Makahiki Hou

Great video but you guys are hilarious. You look young but dress like a posh pensioner. This on top of sounding like a proper nerd. So funny 🤣🤣
