    Hey Dan love the build.....I've been on the edge of my seat waiting for this build video to come out.... I personally think for this build should be pretty good next chapter. as we have the nerfed Mara's Balm Set. 1 bar heavy attack Oakensoul. I think you might be onto something with Dot damage!!

    Did you switch to Consuming Trap? I thought you were using Soul Splitting Trap on the longer video about this build.

    • @Unified-Gaming
      @Unified-Gaming  ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm using consuming trap but splitting soul trap works well in group modes for extra aoe damage as foe can proc on multiple people at once that way.

  • @wkrick
    @wkrick ปีที่แล้ว

    Can you explain why you use 3 med / 3 light / 1 heavy? I'm considering using Mark of the Pariah instead of Aetherial Ascension but Pariah only comes in heavy, so I'd have to do something different with the weights and I don't know what is optimal.

    • @Unified-Gaming
      @Unified-Gaming  ปีที่แล้ว

      You could put it on jewellery to help. I went 3,3,1 for undaunted passives. Medium gives more damage than heavy and light as we stack spell damage and crit on a templar but honestly the weight change won't impact the build massively of you go heavy. Equally you can use oblvion foe medium and mix pieces that way with pariahah. There is another set called buffer of the swift which is a light armour set and very good too.

    • @wkrick
      @wkrick ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Unified-Gaming I understand the Undaunted passive but I'm not sure why in PvP people choose 3/3/1 over 5/1/1 or some other permutation that still gets the passive bonus. For example, why didn't you go with 5 medium on your build? Given that Pariah only drops in heavy, even with jewelry I still need 2 (heavy) pieces. So should I try to maximize medium with 2 heavy, 4 medium, 1 light when running Pariah and Oblivion's Foe? Or should I try to maximize light with 2 heavy, 1 medium, 4 light? Or something else?

    • @Unified-Gaming
      @Unified-Gaming  ปีที่แล้ว

      @wkrick people often go 3,3, 1 to maximise resistances whilst keeping a good amount of damage when stacking weapon / spell damage. You find it I'd either medium 5-1-1 for high damage builds. Light 5-1-1 isn't used often due to low resistances and penalties from light armour bonuses (increases martial damage). Heavy isn't used in 5-1-1 unless you use a strong damage set like ravager. As such, the sweet spot is often 3,3,1 allowing heavy chest, legs and helm. Medium boots, hands and shoulders and light waist which gives good defence and damage stats.

    Solid man, im going to try and make this work on magblade. I have wanted a viable and effective rot style caster builld but over the years it seemed like ZOS kept trying to stop that from working. Thematically, this build on a magblade with soul assault is 100 percent my shit XD. Mechanically, assuming sustain isnt too much of an issue, balorghs seems like a nice fit. My only concern is the ramp up time. It seems like you having to spend 5 gcds before the damage starts rolling.

    • @Unified-Gaming
      @Unified-Gaming  ปีที่แล้ว

      With dots you could then land a spec bow which would be fun. Dots use same as my setup but swap reflective light for cripple.

    Also, Mara's Balm is a heal? Has this been changed since you made this video? I thought you were saying Mara's Bomb from the flame meteor hitting the skeleton after putting the negative effects? So you are putting the effects to get a heal?

    • @Unified-Gaming
      @Unified-Gaming  ปีที่แล้ว

      Mara's balm is a pvp set. It heals the target when they have a dot on them a small amount then every 15s (now 30s) cleanses all dots and heals for all the cleansed dots. E.g. if you have 1 dot cleansed you get 1000 hp. If you cleanse 10 dots you get 10k hp.
      This set was and still is very strong and it is why we have to counter it by forcing the proc at the start of the fight with soul trap + elemental susceptibility. By doing this, we can then reapply the dots and the target has to take the damage unless they manually cleanse it. It also means they can't rely on the burst heal the set gives until 30s into the fight.

    • @Unified-Gaming
      @Unified-Gaming  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The staff would work but means more medium to close range. Foe is very good and with that and elemental susceptibility allows us to proc others maras Balm easily so is kinda needed. Mistform can be added if you want. If you use a mythic drop the monster set.

  • @dwaynepennel1488
    @dwaynepennel1488 ปีที่แล้ว

    I hope this gets answered please. Why are you going medium, light and heavy? Why not heavy all 7 pieces with health increase for HP? I mean only 1 piece of light, and 1 piece of heavy? aren't the passives useless with only 1 piece?

    • @Unified-Gaming
      @Unified-Gaming  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There are undaunted passives which give up to 6% max stats if you have 1 medium, 1 heavy and 1 light piece. That's why people often go 5-1-1 or a mix of heavy, light and medium.
      Medium armour increases weapon and spell damage so pairs nicely with the templar buffs which is why we stack more of that vs heavy as our major and minor sorcery will boost the bonus further.

      You need to use the sets given that's why. Oblvions foe is an extra dot as is the wild impulse set. These combined give a lot of extra damage to your build and also allow you to counter anyone using cleanse sets with cooldowns as you can soul trap and elemental susceptibility to trigger their cleanse.

  • @Stephencurran_7
    @Stephencurran_7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Fun build but even without maras set Templars would still cleanse at least half of this damage and Wardens would cleanse aswell. Honestly after the dots changes i feel like making a dot build pvp viable is incredibly difficult. This is an interesting build though.

    • @Unified-Gaming
      @Unified-Gaming  ปีที่แล้ว

      Templar cleanse removes 5 things. Elemental susceptibility and soul trap + foe is 6-7. The dots need the templar to cleanse twice which gives you time to apply a lot plus stun and add more. I haven't had issues dotting templars as they spend ages cleansing and not doing damage then or do damage to me but take dot damage.
