Jamaicans have a similar dish ,but we call it Rice and peas ,we use red kidney beans but we call them peas although we do all know they are beans, its strange because i spoke to a lady in Nairobi and she told me when they boil the peas they throw away the water😮and eat the beans on the side i told they have thrown away the strength, because the beans have iron we Jamaicans put the rice in the water and cook it together we add coconut cream and some thyme, so seeing this tells me some kenyan tribes cook different😊
Am sorry for what am about to say but I wouldn't even go to this place even for an adventure, am thankful from my village because even my grandpa has a stone house, road accessibility is there, plus they live in a place where even bodaboda can't access, I have good tarmac outside my village house, plus how long was the boda ride, did the guy go back or did you give him shelter for the night
If a man from that bush ends up marrying you, never ever forget this quote from a wise man ...its very easy to remove a man from a village..BUT its very hard to remove the village mentality from him...even after relocating to a new area.
