Hi, Linet and Charlow! To keep snakes away from your home forever plant lemon grass around your compound at the edges and in your kitchen garden. Lemon grass also has medicinal uses( fever, acne, anxiety)just add it to your tea, with or without milk. My mom ( in Uganda)had just 2 clumps in her compound one in front and one at the back and that kept the snakes away.
@Margaret637, thank you for that eye opener. I have lemon grass too in my backyard for spicing food & tea and for medical uses, but I never knew it could keep away snakes. I will plant more around my compound. I have been planting some flower varieties and tobacco to chase away snakes as a biological control method, and also destroying termite antihills.
I love village life....a home is not good enough without chicken, goats, a little garden where you can pick fresh fruits and vegetables. You really both an epitome of what i like village life. How i wish my partner was the same
Hi Linet and Charlow just came across your channel enjoy your video, also you both are hard working and kind to share the grass to the neighbour’s animals, Blessings ❤❤from Canada
We love you from this end, and just know we love watching Charlow and Linet, Our boy usually say niekee Charlo😂 I will definitely going to smell the lemon grass some day,,,,,
New Subscriber 🖐🏾...my suggestion to cover the pipes or vents would be to attach a "Wire meshes" so the water still flows out but no craters i.e snakes can get in from outside! Keep up with video..lovely garden and Home!
Kudos to this hardworking young couple. Just a safety suggestion for Mr Kush - please refrain from using your left hand to handle the weeds whilst using a machete, instead use a stick in your left hand to clear the way and for support
Use steel nets to cover your pipes. The dirty bag you used in covering the pipe could lead to water passage being clogged. And it still won't resolve the snakes getting in.
I don’t like snakes but the small frogs croaking at night around my house don’t bother me and they eat mosquitoes and other insects that damage my plants and vegetables. My garden is growing well thanks to these frogs.
Linet, when you find a tomatoe that is eaten leave it there so that the birds come to eat the same one, otherwise they will start eating a fresh one. You will notice that once they start eating it, they always come back to the same one but if you pluck it they will find another one to start eating.
I could never live without screens to keep the birds, bugs, mosquitoes, mice and other rodents outside! Do you ever plant low grass that we call lawns in the US? The dirt must be a never ending mess to clean! Are there many different kinds of snakes and are they poisonous?
'hi Linnet and charlo, about the frogs most likely you are hearing them from the neighbor next door,he has lots of banana plants there and the frogs love love living in banana plants coz the leaves catch water and are way up there in the air away from predators.
Do you have yams and sweet potatoes in your garden? Am only seeing greens stuff . Am admiring you guys is good to see people who are not lazy You will not be poor
Get a gas powered weed eater...faster ergonomically easy on the body, extremely versatile. A big knife is what your compelled to use, get a long handle sythe or sickle.. Very efficient also, back to nature farmers use them sometimes still.
At 45 minutes into the video, that plant you call Amatanth, in Jamaica we call it Calaloo. At that size is the perfwct time to eat. We cut and eat both stalk and leaves.
Hi everyone ❤ please give the video a LIKE ❤
The landscape in the village is great, can I get a land around?
Mr charlow very hard working young man GOD bless him and you linet
