questions: 1 can you make models on regular art apps like ibispaint X / procreate?? 2 are all these softwares free? 3 can you make a behind the scenes of how you do your videos?
Well when drawing a model the layers for individual parts has to be separated into different layers, like in photoshop or gimp, I'm not sure if the other apps can do that since I'm not an artist but if they can do different layers and export as psd then it'll work. Only free softwares are prprlive and vtube studio but both have limits and watermarks when used free, it's like $15 USD to unlock full access. For a behind the scenes do you mean like how it's recorded and edited? or the setup around it? For the setup it's the same as how I set it up in the video I just record it instead of streaming it, and I just have my phone plugged in to charge and just sitting in a phone stand on my desk as it tracks my face.
I make vtuber Models on IbisPaint, there are free softwares, but I don't really recommend ibis paint... When i made the resolution lower so it doesn't lag the model was very pixelated. When i set the highest resolution, when i was drawing it kept lagging a lot, so i had to make the head and body on separate canvas, and i could do only one eye. Ibis Paint X doesn't take a lot of layers very well. Also the files were corrupted at least twice, and I had to wait like an hour for the software to repair them
i use procreate and maybe if you are making a very basic model with little layers you can/ most models end up with 100+ layers which is too much for procreate
I really appreciate the video. I'm considering being a Vtuber for personal reasons.. showing my actual face just causes issues.. RL circumstances with my home and setting are a constant issue as well.
My to do list for this: -Get better phone -Find other drawing programs similar to ibs paint -Figure out rocket science -get parents and siblings to ACTUALLY support me (if i figure out the rest and get good at it anyways)
as i look like a 8 year old but want to stream doing myself i feel like 2d vtubing is the way to do it also learning Japanese so i can fit in with the Japanese ones to i just need a character
question about the song used in the intro. i know it is from a very small pretty indie shooter game on the Wii U, but i can't seem to recognize the game :( - P.S. Great tutorial btw! thank you for the guide!

@@skrrrt1307 It'd be possible to have the mouth move to your voice with reactive png but expressions wouldn't really exist since there aren't really hotkeys with that. And then if you were to use a tracking program, which does have hotkeys for expressions, then you would have the problem of not having any mouth movement since those use tracking. It really comes down to the tradeoff of facial expressions and reactions with that

Typically no, since you wouldn’t get any facial reactions or expressions, but reactive pngs fall somewhat in the no tracking area
