I'm about to return to Twitch (hopefully) after a 6-year hiatus of poor internet. Vtubing wasn't a thing then, and seems like such a better alternative to me not having a webcam on. This tutorial was very helpful, and I'll be sure to credit you when and where I can!

@@jesekawilliams7440 Oh are you talking about the .vrm file? Yes, you can only open it in vtubing programs like vseeface, 3tene, VUP, VMC, etc and Unity as well. Hope that helps!

This is a simple and yet detailed tutorial where it counts. I do have plans of VTubing my Android from the Phantasy Star Online days. Fortunately the aesthetics is a classic 69 Mustang or a 67 Camaro when it comes to the Phantasy Star Franchise so getting what I need shouldn't be too hard.
Even better that you do it where it is free to do in a best case scenario and not have to worry about someone else doing it.

Thank you Cherri - you are great at creating content and explaining in an easy way. VRoid has several in built animations (like running, falling down, smiling etc)- is there a way to use VSeeFace or some other software to extract those and use those animations for creating a video? I dont necessary need to stream in this case - I just want to create a fun video for upload with this animation - thanks

Awe, thank you! I just spent a lot of time making it in vroid, using really small strands and using lots of bone groups. Hopefully that makes sense!

I don’t have a webcam to use however, what would you recommend? And for a mic, would a mic that’s connected to a headset suffice at least until I can do something else? Sorry if these are dumb/very obvious questions!!
So glad I could help! And no these are not dumb questions! If you do not have a webcam you can use your phone! And for a mic definitely use your headset mic! Hope this helps

I am curious what Rigg are you using? type of camera etc.
Experimenting around with Vtubing tools etc. and learning a lot from both your and others' videos.
however, nobody really goes into detail about how they are set up, as in what camera are they using, how they positioned it.
What level of lighting and how that affects the camera's ability to face tracking etc. Nor too much into detail on tweaking the face-track software or applications etc to prevent your character spazzing out or eyes tracking strangely.
Those things I had to dig through forums to figure out.
Out of all the tutorials I've seen so far, you and phia are the most comfortable ones to watch.
I use the Razor Kiyo webcam, works great! I put it on the top of my monitor and point it at my face for best tracking. It has a built in ring light which helps light up my face but its not necessary. I usually keep the lights on in my room, but I have turned them off for scary games (using just the ring light) and get just as good tracking when I'm using VSeeFace. For tweaking the facial tracking in the programs, I didn't go into it too much because everyone likes something different. It just takes a little time to play with all of the sliders and options to settle on what you like best. Hope this is helpful.
