I have a 1988 Chevy truck. I changed some things and I’ve tried 4 of these hvac controls. None of them have a display only a light where the cold hot switch. I’ve had an electronic guy look at them. The only thing we can find is a burnt spot on display. What am I missing. Bad ground. 4 bad units or is the display supposed to have a little burnt spot.

Thanks, i just swapped out the bulbs with LED bulbs. Also replaced all 7 in the radio. Truck dash looks new again.

Can you show the wiring hook up to bench test this?

Mine shuts off completely after a few seconds but will tune back on if I recycle the key. What’s causing this?
